Good for d Summer's, especially in Tropical weather like India. Bvlgari aqua opens up wid d fresh notes of Seawater & Orange, which is not synthetic or chocking & neither it smells like eggs. Donno why d others felt like that but its d olfactory fatigue, can't help with that it depends on d body chemistry. I really enjoy d drydown of this scent which is full of oceanic thrill by the help of seaweed note & also I can detect some musky note in d drydown which I really love. For me its one of d favorite Summer Scent which also garner me a good amount of compliments.

Highly recommended for those who lives in an high heat/temp areas. Plz give it sometime, it really deserve its place in one of d best Summer Fragrance.

Lots of love from INDIA 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

I find the seaweed note repulsive. I have tried wearing this fragrance several times. The best part is that it does not radiate much. It does not smell like a perfume, it smells like you had a bath in the sea, and now you still have seaweed stuck to you. That's the least sexy fragrance I've tried.

RedMartyr

I find this smells too potent at first and even later, its not a close scent. i spray it on my undershirt and if i dip my nose under my collar the scent nearly chokes me out. but other than the alcohol opening the ocean notes are good. I dont like it enough to buy it again, but i do like it enough to try the other flanker Atlantique. This fragrance does mature in the bottle so give it some time

@KingMigi

HAHAHA!!!

The seaweed in this is exquisite.

Keeper.

@KingMigi, I cant help but read your comment and in my mind Im reading in a British accent, do you know wha a mean?

Deedawg76

Beautiful, airy scent that subtly lasts 8hrs. I would consider it a floral-aquatic. One of my top ten Spring/Summer fragrances!

Anafiel

Now this is probably my favorite flanker. I'm not the biggest fan of the neroli note but this one I think does it right. Gives a clean, crisp, breezy, day on the lake type vibe. Definitely a hot weather daytime fragrance. I'd do spring only if it's like late spring or a warm spring day.
Lasts about 6 hours or so on my skin. Definitely worth a pick up.

KingMigi

I keep seeing things like this little gem uttered ALL OVER the place.

"its the weakest cologne I now have to the extent I wore 14 sprays today mostly spayed on the shoulders of my shirt and I really couldn't even tell it was there"

Guys...

This is called self-induced olfactory fatigue. No, really, I mean it, that really is what it is. People seem to hate this explanation, but it's the truth whether you like it or not. You can literally make it happen with just about any fragrance.

This isn't a myth or a theory, this phenomenon is absolutely real. Think about it, you ever noticed how sitting in the bathroom taking a dump, you quickly stop noticing your own brand? You ever have a friend who has way too many cats and dogs, smells like ammonia and wet fur all the time, but it literally completely escapes them that they stink, despite the fact you (and everyone else) picks up on it immediately? Exactly, and it doesn't take a year of living in it for your nose to become familiarized to it and stop noticing as much either.

If you want bona fide first hand proof, try the following spray routine. It is nearly guaranteed to make almost any fragrance really difficult if not impossible for you to pick up whiffs of after application, but other people will be able to detect it from half the room away.

Take a powerful, aromatic fragrance, let's go with Sauvage in this example. Most people would agree that Sauvage not only has longevity, but it's fairly easy to pick up whiffs of it all day long when wearing it if you're not overly liberal with the trigger and have some discretion about where you spray. Take your Sauvage and go fuckin hammo. Spray your arms, back of hands, inside of wrist, tops and bottoms of lower arm, your shoulders, the front of and the dip of your neck, both sides of the neck (but make sure it's in front of the ears so I can prove my fuckin point), and definitely the inside and outside of your shirt.

Lastly (but most importantly) don't forget the real MVP and star of the show by giving your donny johnson and his coinpurse a minimum of about eight and a half atomizations as well. Go on now, hop to!

What's wrong?... Don't be shy. I'm not watching. In fact, forget about Sauvage! I recommend you just hook up an industrial water jet straight in to a 50 gallon reservoir of twice-concentrated Eros EDP and take aim at those puppies until they glow as blue as the bottle it comes in.

Sensitive skin; smecksmitive schmig.
"Testicular carcinoma" you say?

Look, life's way too short to get all hung-up on trivialities like "caution" and "moderation".

I mean shit, i'm pretty sure they can just scalpel melanoma right off the top these days right? What doesn't kill us makes us deader, and it's IMPORTANT to build character through adversity.

Look all jokes of ballspraying aside, I guarantee you that 99/100 people who spray 14+ times will stink out a whole-ass 12-step program meeting room, but in like 30m (or honestly 5 minutes) they won't be able to notice they're wearing a fragrance any more. And that's what happened with the dude above too. He drowned himself in it and so he couldn't smell it anymore.

But instead of recognizing the complete obvious, they start feeling froggy about it and decide it's their calling in life to bring some justice to this injustice, and after a full-tilt sprinting start they execute, in one jerky and spazmatic motion, a jaw-dropping reverse-double-backflip over and into their computer chair. They fire up the 'ol yellowed-gray windows 98 desktop, pop in one of the 719 America Online Internet free-trial discs lying around, and just five whole minutes of screeching-dial-up-tone later, they blaze past the log-in screen at a sandpaper-smooth 56kbs.

So there they on Fragrantica looking like Dennis the Menace and pen a snarky review bitching about the longevity and performance, despite the fact their momma just called to administer a tough-love reality-check talkin 'bout "Listen Brandon, how many times have I told you that less-is-more? The '70s showed up complaining because they want their pre-regulation-era vintage petrol-and-fir-in-a-bottle back."

Don't listen to the kinds of drivel I quoted above. It's either an intentional troll designed to trick the uninitiated into suffocating their coworkers/significant others/strangers, someone with a grudge to pick with the company or line, or (and most likely) they really are just not THINKING about what they're saying...

I suppose one other possibility is they received fake product, but I tend to think that the likelihood of that happening is astronomically, infinitesimally small unless they're eBaying super popular mainstream niche bottles at silly low prices without vetting the seller first and not knowing what they're doing..

P.S.: I'm not even saying this because I believe in moderation, obviously.

Straight up, the only acceptable adjective to describe my type of overspraying is "felonious" folks. I'm talking subbed up on r/fuckyourolfactorypersonalspace, #choketheneighborhoodout, no need to discover it because i'm definitely announcing it, even my balls smell better than you type of oversprayer. I'm fucking kidding but you get my point, I don't believe in sissy-spraying. So I have the experience necessary to tell you that olfactory fatigue is as real as it gets. If you're spraying 14+ sprays during your application, you just need to accept that you burnt off half your cilia and the rest are in desperate need of a juice-box and a few quick breaths to regain their composure before getting back into the action.

redskies505

I don’t understand the hate for this awesome fragrance.....this will always remain as one of my favorite go to bottle everytime i go out...perfect for everyday use and non-offensive.

A.Brock

Would disagree with others when they say performance is weak, I find this projects well and is long-lasting too. Not sure I love this one though, the salty/marine element is quite pronounced and also a seaweedy note. As aquatics go, it is quite fresh, unique and interesting though

curt42

This is another great summer fragrance that is too weak for me to recommend. Great aquatic with a nice salty back, but for me it never extends more than inches from my skin and fades to nothing after a couple hrs. Don't get compliments with this one because no one smells it. This is a nice cool sheet spray in summer or a laundry spritz, but not something I will purchase again.

++edit: I am liking this more and am spraying 8+ times to get some performance out of it. Did get one compliment on a warm day, outside dining. Have changed my mind. I like this enough to purchase again.

Sullii

Doesn't last long, but the smell is fantastic. Just a few extra sprays, bring it along to reapply and you should be good

Glyph

I was given this years ago as a present, and at the time I loved it because of the heavy marine scent (it is aptly named--"aqua" and "marine" both in the appellation is about as watery as it gets). But over time I grew to dislike the secondary seaweed smell--rather than make this seem authentic, as I originally felt, it just made it a little too dank. I still think it's a great evocation of the ocean, but I now prefer something a little lighter and sweeter in my marine fragrances.

Kieran821

Ok so when I first got this fragrance it was a blind buy and I really wasn't impressed. It smelt nice at first then quickly smelt funky almost like rotten seaweed. I put it down and hadn't touched it since. I was contemplating just throwing it away to make space for other fragrances but thought I'd give it another spray before I do. Now it's so much better, it clearly just needed to get some air in the bottle and mature. It's a light fresh fragrance with a marine note that isn't overpowering and is very well rounded. I'm really glad I decided to give it another spray just to check

Amamiro

feel surrounded by the sea rock covered by seaweed with a cup of orange jus in my hand
Lovely combination smell .

Bvlgari Aqva Marine is a very good aquatic and aromatic fragrance.

To difference to its mother fragrance Aqva Pour Homme, this add a bit sweetness and is less intense in the seaweed note, is more soft in comparison with Aqva Pour Homme, but is still very nice.

This fragrance is a very good choice to use in summer and spring, or in hot days, vacations on the beach, etc.

Its longevity was aproximately to 8 hrs. and projection moderate.

Marino419

This is a true summer time aquatic fragrance. I wear a ton of this when the weather gets hot. I also spend a week on the beach every summer and this is my go to. It is as authentic of an aquatic as you can get. The seaweed note really takes it to another level. It doesn't overwhelm the fragrance, but it also keeps it risky enough to not just be a boring aquatic.

NickZee

I remember rooftop bars would be wafting Bulgari Aqua Marine in the summers of the early 2010s. Back then there wasn’t yet the explosion in new releases and the excellent releases had enough space to take over the nightlife of cities. Perhaps Aqua Marine was one of the last fragrances to enjoy this level presence...Sauvage and Aventus being rare examples more recently. Aqua Marine remains an excellent fragrance, a great aquatic note is augmented by that contained seaweed note, both of which remain to the end. And it all lands on a bed of sensual amber and woods. Longevity and projection are excellent. An important note is that the molecules in Aqua Marine are designed to lift gradually in the high heat. It doesn’t smell the same in the cold.

remymcdonnell

Gorgeous. Summer personified. Projection is fantastic as with most Bvlgari products. It’s fresh, citrusy, sexy, slightly sun-creamy but in a good way, I cannot wait to get down the beach with some of this on. There must be a slight tinge of mint or something as you get that almost cool sensation when you smell this. It’s honestly fantastic, not overpowering, not synthetic smelling. I know scents can smell differently on everyone but I have no idea what others are talking about when they smell fish or egg or whatever they say it smells of.

Nik the Greek

Nice scent! To my noses the aquatic version of CH 212.

Smackk

This smells good. Similar to D&G Light Blue, could almost be the Marine flanker of Light Blue...

toby_russell

Sampled this today. I feel that this is a very safe fresh fragrance, perfect for the spring/summer. Very fresh and very easy to like, maybe not a citrussy as some would like but then it is more of an aquatic fragrance, prominent seaweed note however its not overbearing and there is a good balance to it. Projection I found was decent for the notes (7 hours) , however did not spend ages outside to appreciate its projection in an outdoor scene. Overall, very fresh easy going fragrance that does a good job representing the seaside. also good bang for the buck so pick up at least a sample if you are tempted by this fragrance definitely underrated.

slbaaron

I've used this since 2009 and always have one on hand despite slowly getting more and more colognes as "collection". This my absolutely go to. In a way, it definitely smells fresh and "younger" and might've fitted better back when I was in high school / college, but even today I still get compliments on this cologne once in a while. It has a relatively simple but smooth aquatic / marine profile which doesn't get "old" or weird over time. Compared to something like CK Eternity Marine which I found to be quite close (and a great value), the Bvlgari Aqva Marine just has something simpler and smoother than the other ones in this profile I've seen. There may be ideal settings for this (summer, water, etc) but I think this works well as a daily driver or all-purpose cologne too.

It works well with most skins (I've had friends who also used it), most sweats (not for people with strong BO as it is not strong enough to cover much up), and back then I noticed it combined well with cigarette smoke (not to "masks" it, but in conjunction). I've long since quit smoking but I do have fond memories of picking my own jacket the next day and thinking "dayummm this smells good". It does suffer a tiny bit in lasting power, if you can't bring it with you and need to last through a day (say work and then going out), it will be very faint at the end. Works well for ~3hrs.

Syaril

i think personally this perfume gives me a cool vibe from a fresh oceanic sea notes and combined with bvlgari signature, feeling so elegant and oceanic at the same time. the smells is really great not really strong and not too light but i think this is perfect for teenages or young adults who want a perfume that smells like a sea water. this perfume usually suitable to use in summer or during the day with a hot temperature.

I really enjoy it during the summer time. It smells like a skin that been on a beach sand for a while in a hot day. Also, has that note of a clean cloth. Very delicate. Can't wait for the summer to wear it again.

mdmartin6

If I smell this fragrance right after i spray it it almost smells like bug spray (I am positive that this is a personal issue and I am sure many others probably do not have this problem) but after a minute or two it smells wonderful and I cannot wait to wear this during the summer. It smells lIke AdG Profundo or D&G Light Blue Intense with an added Neroli note.

Anime_Kpop

Very pleasent easy going scent. The smell makes me think of hawaii near the ocean with those hawaiin flowers. Its almost impossible to dislike this smell and it will work great in hot weather. Overall i like it and will use it alot during summer.

Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme EDT opens with a moderate to a strong projection of slightly sweet, citrus, water, spicy and woody accords. The opening is refreshing, sharp, summery, and very pleasant. The citruses create a very refreshing and prominent opening, the mandarin orange and neroli contribute with a delectable, sour, and slightly sweet accord, the petitgrain introduces a very fresh green note, and the grapefruit its slightly bitter citrusy touch. The watery notes and seaweed create a salty oceanic water scent, giving the fragrance a fantastic marine vibe, these two notes become more prominent than the citruses but not for much. As the fragrance dries down, the cedar and amber develop, the initial citruses relax a bit while the amber grows and creates a slightly sweet, soft powdery, and projecting accord; the cedar is noticeable but not prominent, it adds a very pleasant fresh woody accord which serves as the stage for all other notes. The fragrance has a few subtle but noticeable opening to dry down changes, the opening is fantastic, it is more intense than the dry down, the opening notes are sharper, the citruses make the fragrance feel moist, and the marine notes are bright and crisp. Toward the dry down, the fragrance changes from moist to dry, the citruses subside a bit under the amber that makes the fragrance feels dry and slightly powdery, the initial moderate to strong projection drops to moderate and the cedar becomes more noticeable but remains as a support note. Once Bvlgari Aqva Marine Pour Homme EDT has reached its full dry down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, slightly sweet, marine (seawater, seaweed), citrusy (bitter grapefruit, neroli, sweet mandarin, green petitgrain) fragrance with woody, ambery and spicy accords. The fragrance feels bitter, casual, delectable, diurnal, dry, energizing, exotic, fresh, gentle, citrusy green, high-quality, marine, mild, modern, natural, nicely-blended, oceanic, slightly powdery, refreshing, salty, sour, slightly spicy, sporty, slightly citrusy sweet, unisex, woody, and very pleasant.

I got this earlier this year before it really started heating up where i live. I heard reviews on YouTube about it and everyone praised it so i blind bought it going off reviews. The bottle looks amazing and the sprayer works fantastic. On my skin this stuff is horrible. It smells like eggs mixed with fish, i dont know if its the seaweed note that made it smell like that on me but it was awful. I ended up giving it to a coworker of mine and he loves it says he gets alot of compliments with it and what not. I guess its just skin chemistry. I definitely recommend getting a sample of this before buying a full bottle of it.

luisrosales64

When I smell this one, I think of a tropical island with palm trees, bamboo, and crystal clear water on a nice sunny day. So much aquatic! This is THE cologne to wear if you go on vacation! 9/10

acl17

I tried this out in store today and this is very UNIQUE but I like it the salty seawater and seaweed notes really took me by surprise. Hoping to by this closer to summer.

liuyangmeizi

I was dating a guy who used to wear this at home every time I met him. He told me this is the only perfume he had.

Now I'm listening to my Spotify playlist I created in March 2019, suddenly thinking of this perfume.

Good Vibrations used to be our favourite song, old but pleasant.
I think it is the same with this perfume. Simple, charming, gentle.

When I think of this perfume, I think of a smart gentleman. I love it.

luisrosales64

This literally smells like a tropical island with a coral reef with schools of fish. So much marine! love this stuff for the summer

mikecch

A deeper, more oceanic take on the original Aqva.
Starts with zesty fruits, white flowers and salty water.
The marine notes are linear throughout.
Slightly warm base means that the Marine never gets too icy.
A rather nice beach & ocean scent.

While the performance is fair, it does become somewhat one dimensional on my skin after a hour or so - all I can smell is salty sea water, which I suppose is true to the name!
I tend to reapply after 5 hours.

A good buy for folks looking for an ocean scent; great spray for a hot summer day. More watery and salty than the original Aqva. The later Atlantiqve release is more versatile and likely to appeal to more people.

yashvardan

What's up, folks! This will be a little different. I'm definitely going to portrait a guy wearing this fragrance but I feel it's quite interesting how does it smells like... It smells like "freshly pulled good-smelling seaweed right out of the ocean!" So it has a nice mild seaweedish smell with some salty aquatic ocean like the transparent smell in it! I never talk materialistic stuff related to fragrances but guys, believe me, this is my favourite bottle in terms of looks. This guy is charming tbh. Now, let's portrait a guy... basically, anybody can justify this fragrance but still let's have some fun:

Portrait: "The Real Aquaman will smell like this. Period. A man for whom the ocean is very near to his heart. He loves the ocean and related lifestyle. Loves seafood, surfing is his cup of tea, rides a powerboat and never gets tired to go fishing. Tough body, 6 pack abs, rough beard and tanned."

I would highly recommend putting this fragrance in the refrigerator or just do like me... put it in the ice bucket with your beers 15 mins before using it. It works fantastically gorgeous!

Mystères du Château de Dé

Aqva Marine is unique in my aquatic collection for it's biological impact. This fragrance is more than typical "sea water" + citrus - flowers - sand - wet stone - wood - all typical notes in such frags, reality based or otherwise. Marine's first hour evokes something alive, whether that be "seaweed" or "seafood" or flat-out "fish"! The name is appropriate - Marine... LIFE. Do not blind buy this, dudes! Many will be turned off.

Aqva is artistic and challenging. Respect to a fashion house whose bean counters OK'd this fragrance, which is not obvious and easy. It's "living" notes are contemporary and fashion forward in the aquatic game, despite being a decade+ old. My bottle is new 2020, and I wonder if this fragrance changes over the years through reformulations and evolving molecules. I can't see how this is a "boring" or "typical" or "light" aquatic. Yes it vibrates high, but to me it's complex and not even pretty, rather intellectual. How can something be so synthetic yet seem to breathe? Some wears are fishier than others. Beware, it divides, as you can read below. Marine is not a crowd pleaser.

GreatSwiftScent

If you want to smell different in a great way this summer go with AQVA line

this one is the most similar to the original
lighter and slightly different but in a good way!

I do own all 4

I will rank them
Amara
Atlantic (great alternative to Dylan blue"too sweet")
Aqva
Marine
I would say that it's a tie between Atlantic/Aqva/Marine
depends of how I feel

** if someone has Tonic pm me I would love to have a decant**

tanfer

A light and salty/aromatic summer scent. At first I thought it was too light and reminded me Nautica Voyage. But 2 hours later I can smell it on my arm strongly. And the smell became unique. Quality is average designer level, like Nautica Voyage, not superb.

On my other arm I have the original Bvlgari Aqva. That one is deeper/darker like its bottle. But it has a note that I don't like. Aqva Marine is a better summer scent in my opinion.

gustrada

I love this perfume, the smell is a bit like a flower, I'm enjoy using it, but some people around me say that it smells fishy and like iron water.

JayDillen

This has potential to be an awesome scent but it's too synthetic. The first few wears I really liked it but after that it just smells like plastic. Well ya know, not literally like plastic, but it's so synthetic that it smells like a chemical interpretation of an aqua scent. I wanted to like it so much too. Hope they reformulate it or something. Lots of potential here. Hard for me really to explain, it just smells perfumey and chemically. Smells like a super cheap scent with crappy ingredients. Almost like a body spray or a deodorant. But it also smells good to where you're just like damn if this was just a little better done and quality it would be sooo good. But alas, it falls short.

It is definitely unisex and leans more feminine imo. It has the shower gel vibe but it's too strong in the synthetic notes and smells overly sweet. Have no idea about the actual notes, doesnt smell like anything in particular, just a synthetic scent that is trying to smell aquatic. Almost reminds me of a chlorine filled pool, or some variation of scent you might smell on a high school girl at a public pool lol.

Alisaaa131

This made me realize I love water notes!
I find this to be unisex until the dry down it's slightly masculine but not to the point where people would give me weird looks.
I get bright grapefruit that quickly turns into a synthetic watery fragrance.
Super refreshing after the gym or in the summer!
Nothing mind blowing or attention grabbing, just a surprisingly long lasting freshie (:

TheMostSavage

synthetic, fresh, and clean. it's nice, but for those who don't like synthetic frags you'll want to look elsewhere. a decent aquatic here, but nothing special. I like it enough to potentially buy a bottle. but you won't stand out, you'll just smell good. and some might think you're wearing your girlfriend's perfume.

it's got a kind of a soapy/deodorant vibe to this. you won't "smell like the sea" or anything here, nope. you'll smell like you're wearing a good smelling deodorant or antipersperant. I personally like it, but I could see how a lot of people would be underwhelmed.

projection and performance is weak to moderate. and this definitely leans feminine. not a masculine manly cologne at all, although aquatics are arguably not masculine to begin with so yeah. it's overall pretty decent. not anything to write home about but pretty good. overpriced by about 15-20 bucks imo

Excellent for those looking for a summer fragrance, crisp days, beach weather, sun and who doesn't enjoy excessively citrus scents.
Ideal for the Brazilian climate

fkos

Beautiful fragrance, my favourite from the Aqva line, and one of my favourite acquatics from any house. It's funny how the nose works, as some people get rotten seaweed but I get a super refreshing, almost herbal smell.

victoria.mei1992

It's very unique, imagine a very minimalist man wearing this to work with a trench coat, going in the foggy spring, seaside in England or Scotland. Very simple, but interesting smell, you just imagine the rocks and the sea. Probably wouldn't turn around if a man wearing this passed by. But it's really good for a family man.

Maison on fire

this smells like a bouquet of flowers...with a strong orange scent.
i love it!

It's a really strong smell.
I recommend spraying it on the back of your neck and not on your throat area.

peterodi888

Totally fell in love with the original aqua and thought this one might be good as well...first spray, yes...but the dry down is just awful for me...the seaweed note is just too much it makes me gag.

Zeriel00

Out of the 3 Aqua Fragrances I got, Regular, Marine and Atlantique this one sits in the middle of the three.

It's a much lighter, fresher version of The Original Aqua with a slight seaweed note. The opening is nice and fresh but as it dries down I can barely smell it at all. Maybe it projects better to other people around me but to me it comes off as a very subtle fresher version of Regular Aqua with a seaweed note that reminds me of the eggyolk-like smell of Atlantique. This fragrance is very subtle and I just don't see it having a lot of projection as I would imagine an outdoor's summer fragrance should have.

If you have seen my other reviews you should know that I'm not a fan of the Bvlgari Aqua line at all and as much as I would like to say something positive, I just think this whole DNA is boring and overused. I'm yet to try Aqua Amarra so I still have some hope for that one.

Aqua Marine brings nothing new to the table, it sits between Original and Atlantique, but it's even more muted with a peculiar seaweed note that I don't enjoy.

I grew up in Hawaii and love the ocean so I blind bought this one thinking I was really going to love it.

However after trying it a few times, I don't think I'll ever get any use out of it. The seaweed note which I thought I wouldn't mind ends up being really overpowering and nauseating. It's kind of gross. Like rotting seaweed on a beach.. and that's the note that stays the longest, even after washing it off. I like the other parts of the fragrance; the aquatic, the citrus, but something about this seaweed is a big turn off.

I can't imagine wearing this in public.

Izaaks perspective

Such a Superior fragrance for the summer. This composition is salty, citrusy, and sexy. I would say this kind of smells unisex but it leans a little more masculine in my opinion. Aqua Marine is hands down my favorite from the aqua line and Amara would have to be second.

I would definitely try before you buy because that seaweed note can be sharp which is a turn off for some people. Overall solid fragrance from Bvlgari

Definitely my favorite fragrance from my collection!

Not what I thought it would smell like. I thought it would be saltier, but actually has a mild soapy vibe to it. Sweeter than the original, as well as lighter and cleaner, and the citrus doesn't have the traditional sharpness/bite to it. More unisex than the original. Good refreshing gym fragrance. To me this has more of a Caribbean feel while the original Aqva is more Mediterranean. Even though I place it at the bottom the Aqva line, it is not a bad fragrance at all, and definitely worth a smell.

Amara > Aqva > Aqva Toniq > Marine Toniq > Atlantique > Marine

VILFI

This is really nice in the heat. My favorite of Aqvas. So subtle and smooth. Youthful and delicious. Sweetness not too much. Salty. I guess I can smell that Invictus Aqua calone-note but for once it’s toned done and subtle.

twnerse

Clean sun tan lotion/lotion type scent that last about 8-9 hours in a nut shell. Spring and summer for sure.

ClashDaddy

Wore this for the first time in a cinema during the evening premier for the latest Star Wars movie and all I can say is I was so chuffed with how GREAT i smelt throughout the entire screening.

You can virtually taste the salty air note in the opening; it takes me back to my hometown (a coastal city), with me standing at the bow of a racing speedboat as it crashes waves on the way to the nearest island getaway. It's a stellar marine note that makes Aqva Marine an outstanding offering in the Aqva lineup.

Best for air-conditioned spaces and on clothes; however still holds its own when worn outdoors.

This one is a keeper; a perfect foil for the sweet Tonka + Fruity + Vanilla perfumes that are currently popular with the general masses.

Aqva Pour Homme Marine by Bvlgari is my favorite of all the Aqva flankers! This opens with traditional aquatic cologne notes, a bitter green twist of seaweed, and then zested up with a juicy grapefruit note. The aquatic notes and grapefruit really complement each other and they stop the seaweed from smelling to salty or pungent. I love ocean scents but good ones are really hard to find! There has to be a perfect balance between the aquatic ocean-esque notes and complimenting notes otherwise it loses its refreshing ocean vibes all together. People want their fragrance to encompass the vast clean blue waters of our beautiful earth not all the riffraff that’s not supposed to be in it!

jayo4K

My absolute favorite summer fragrance. This makes me feel like I'm walking along the beach on a warm summer morning just after sunrise.

It opens very fresh with aquatic notes along with seaweed. Surprisingly, the seaweed is a fantastic part of the smell and makes this very unique. Most summer aquatics are pretty linear as well, but the best part of this fragrance is that it actually does change from the top to the base. After a few hours the aquatic and seaweed notes tone themselves down and the neroli comes through making it softly sweet for the rest of the way. I love this part of the fragrance.

Longevity and sillage are moderate, which is standard for this genre. You really can only wear this in very warm weather though, but it's such a refreshing scent that it's perfect for hot summer days. Just based on the uniqueness alone this is worth a buy, it's worthy of being in anyone's collection.

There is an egg and algae like smell which is horrible when you sniff it close on to the skin. Similar bad vibe I get from Armani aqua di gio Profumo. I think this is a problem with aquatic perfumes.I don't know how does it smell from distance because I am the only wearer of this perfume. I hope the smell from distance would not be as bad.

raiza1990

Fresh and pleasant, like a nice deodorant. This is softer and safer than Aqua Atlantique. I can smell that same unpleasant note here, but it is very light.
It's nothing groundbreaking but it is a nice scent. Good for warm days.

BVLGARI AQVA series never fails to amaze me. All the fragrances smell amazing. Especially AQVA Marine. Very lovable aquatic fragrance. I get decent longevity from this fragrance probably 5-7 hours. Although some reviewers say that this is for younger guys, but I would say even matured men can wear this too. Wear what you like.

AQVA Marine >Amara > Atlantiqve > Aqva Pour homme.

My rating for this fragrance: 9/10

Well, as with almost everything smell is subjective, but not to fall in love with this fragrance is incomprehensible. This is one of the freshest, well blend and truly relaxing smells I've felt. For me, 8 out of 10 on smell and attractiveness. I do recommend it, completely.

AMajeedQT

Really nice aquatic smell. Very oceanic. Fits very well for those really hot areas (+35C) where you want a "true" summer fragrance.

The smell is a fresh aquatic note mixed with a green & mildly-sweet seaweed note. Soft & invigorating scent.

A proper flanker to the original Aqva: the same DNA, modernized.

Good performance, especially for a summer fragrance.

Similar to the original but sharper and less sweet. It´s ok, but I like the orignal better for sure.

Sea in the bottle. Marine always has a plot in my perfum cell. It's fresh, friend-ly, good longevity and fit perfectly for someone who live in a hot country like me.

Kaung

Started wearing this one when I was a university student back in 2009. Even after 10 years, I still keep coming back for it. I don’t care if it’s more suitable for younger guys or whatever. The scent, the uniqueness, the compliments. It’s my favorite from Aqva series.

Padhee83

Best Bvlgari aqva from the aqva line.Reason is because of its simplicity.Original Aqva is daring, bold and most distinctive fresh scent. It is so different that it's not universal. Its strong seaweed note is a deal breaker. It is too dark and serious.
Newest brother Aqva Atlantique is not worth mentioning. Its sea weed note with ambroxan note is nausea inducing.
Probably Aqva Marine was introduced to make the scent simpler and playful than Aqva pour homme. There are 3 simple facets in Aqva Marine.
1.Fresh grapefruit/mandarin orange citric opening
2.Neroli/Flower notes
3.Seaweed/Watery notes.
Base is seaweed with neroli notes.Proabably because of neroli and seaweed it may remind people of watermelon or cucumber smell.
Longevity is 6-7 hours with good 2-3 hour projection. It can be easily over applied without inducing headache.
It's a fresh scent which is strictly for hot and humid summer day.Dumb reach for hot climtate.
Ladies really love the fresh smell of Aqva Marine.Compliments are assured.
Best of the Aqva line.

JoshCondy

Very nice fragrance that's definitely for summer only!
Fresh, aquatic, cooling fragrance that can be worn in the office during summer, but also out on certain occasions. Very nice but not ver versatile.
Longevity is decent, lasting about 4-5 hours on my skin, with the sillage being 3-4 feet away for an hour which slowly retracts into a close scent.
Overall very nice fragrance and a must have for summer. 8.5/10

Of the Bvlgari Aquas, this would be my favorite if it lasted more than four hours.

The opening and dry down of this fragrance are extremely fresh! Grapefruit citrus top note that stays with the DNA as the aquatic and fresh green seaweed notes come forward. Extremely fresh...the most fresh of all of them.

Performance is about arms length for an hour before quickly working its way inward to a skin scent. Longevity if not good...4 hours at the most on skin/clothes. I double spray each area to apply a good 8 to 10 sprays to get some more out of it.

Super easy reach for Summer time.

Raziel333

Fresh and youthful fragrance with strong aquatic notes combined with seaweed. Unfortunately the batch I own has a small longevity (3 hours) and terrible projection on my skin (sits real close).

I really like the smell, but the performance needs to improve.

D1RTY

A Lovely scent for the summer. Very aquatic and fresh scent. Unfortunately the lasting power is very poor. I dont think I will purchase it again.

Rory1234

Waste of money. Lasts. 30 minutes. Why do these houses pull this carp never again Bulgari

ngc709

One of the aquatics that actually reminds you of the ocean, without being pure salt.

The citrus, neroli and rosemary complements the slightly salty seaweed throughout the life of the fragrance, balancing Aqva Marine perfectly somewhere between a pure citrus scent without any oceanic quality and a salty ambergris bomb like Aqva Atlantiqve or Light Blue Intense.

A fantastic beach and summer scent.

alex.nego

First of all this is my signature frag.
I had it for a few years and then I decided to try something different. Last year I bought it again and it immediately felt different. After some research now I can tell that it has been reformulated around year 2015.

Old bottles till 2016 aprox - have the fire sign on the box near the recycling sing and 1 other and the batch code is written on the middle side on the back of the bottle

New bottles after 2016 apox - don*t have the fire sign and the batch code is on the right

No dispute the old one are a lot better - sharper/ saltyer a double the performance.

10/10 parfume in my opinion.

jamesvt007

Underrated fragrance. Very nice fresh fragrance. Performs well on my skin as well. Nice sea salty marine vibe going on, excellent summer option.

Jondelour

I really like this, it's unique, I love the seaweed freshness, I live by the cold southern ocean with Kelp and fresh Antarctic Sea air.
This evokes such an authentic, natural Marine accord, it's incredible.
I go pretty heavy on it so I can enjoy it, otherwise it doesn't project enormously.
Though it's such a well crafted Marine I can hardly fault it.

jswift286

This scent is very enjoyable. It is not cutting-edge modern anymore. Go with Atlantiqve if you're looking for that. It is also fairly soft, but that makes in very embraceable. It also smells pretty - almost pretty enough for a girl - but not quite. This may be a perfect, all-around timeless aqva.

I also heard that Will Smith wears/wore this scent. If it's good enough for Big Willy, it's good enough for me.

luisrosales64

This is a tropical island in a bottle, I recently purchased this and love the saltiness noted and water notes, this will be with me this summer for my college semesters.

swax1990

This was a blind buy, very enjoyable one. To begin with I love Aqva Pour Homme, Atlantique, Amara and this is no exception, another beautifully aquatic. I've been a fan of Bvlgari for many years and have been quite pleased especially with their AQVA line. Aqva Marine is very light, effusive not overwhelming and smells marvellous, very refreshing. It just exudes class & purity and has become my pick for special occasions, is light enough to wear during the day or evening. I do love the salt note in this, If you like the smell of ocean waves or you like the freshness of a melon or cucumber, you will love this one.

Here are my thoughts for Bvlgari's Aqva line:

Aqva Pour Homme 10/10 - Dark aquatic. APH is going to give you a darker, heavier scent than anything else in the line, think of the deep-sea water coupled with underwater seaweed and some citrus mingled in. Magnificent, totally unique and natural. It's more of a gentleman scent, very mature.

Aqva Marine 8/10 - Salty, seaweed, aquatic marine notes are brought together with lovely grapefruit note, splendiferous lemony opening. Vibrant and crisp scent, the juice inside of the bottle it's clear turquoise like waters of the Caribbean, although it doesn't smell like that. Aqva Marine to me is a hybrid in between Aqua Pour Homme and Amara, it smells a lot like 'em.

Aqva Amara 8.5/10 - Oranges... bitter oranges all around. Honestly, while I do enjoy this scent, the drydown is floral and does lean towards femininity to me. The opening is freakin' awesome.

Aqva Atlantiqve 8.5/10 - More aquatic version of Dior Sauvage. I really, really enjoy this scent. It's an attention grabber for sure, but to my surprise I get something very dark, zingy and deep going on there too, it really does feel kind of oceanic overall.

Unlike most men's cologne Bvlgari is never sweet nor heavy. Never cloying and that's one of the reasons why I love so much AQVA line.

DSK

I have had an interesting relationship with this fragrance. It was a love at first sniff when I first tried it. I got bored with it pretty quickly though and left it behind for quite some time. Then, suddenly and with no apparent reason I decided to give it another go one winter day and it felt better than ever.

Projection is very decent and longevity is amazing. Most people say it is suitable exclusively for the summer, but I think it is a all year round signature worthy fragrance. I fell in love with it all over again during winter and have been using it for the whole season with great success. My girlfriend adores it as well.

For the price point I easily give this a perfect 10/10 and would be sad if this ever went out of my collection.

A masterpiece in its simplicity.

chimpster7

This reminds me of running on a small-town beach on an overcast, summer day. Perfect temperature, not too hot nor too cold. A slight breeze from inland hits my face, evaporating and amplifying the salty sweat. The breeze brings with it citruses and hints of white florals, they blend nicely with the smell of the salty sea.

Aqua & Sport flankers are my Go-To's, so this one was right up my alley. I love going to the gym wearing this one, people around me pick up beachy hints and wonder where it's coming from and realize it was me once I'm gone along with that mild, pleasant, oceany scent cloud (so i've been told)... Salty sweat has never seen a better side kick!

Josh1991

Well this is a nice smelling fragrance, it has that aqva DNA in it nice fresh citrusy salty sea vibe... only thing im not happy with is the performance..it does last a little while on skin up close however itdoesnt project very well... the Amara flanker is semi beast mode performance... dont get me wrong the scent is very nice just doesn't last super long or project well like the others which is expected with really fresh summer fragrances... still buy it, for its price its still great

Mason500

I absolutely love this fragrance.. It was a blind buy and an amazing one. The opening at first was strange to me, there was something nice and not so nice in it.. But 30 minutes into it and it was just a sea of ecstasy.. Definitely to be worn in hot summer days. but i tend to spray it on my wrist at home, around winter time or when i want to feel relaxed for the chill vibe of it

# Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme Marine EDT #

[Salty Sweet Sea Wind On The Face]

Initial spray is a powerful burst of grapefruit and neroli! You get a sour citrus smell, which actually stays through the life of the fragrance.
After a while as it begins to dry down, it calms down and becomes a mixture of grapefruit, sea-weed and aquatic notes. The sea-weed note gives it a manly touch and the sweet grapefruit have also a feminine side to it but not in a bad way. Overall it's a salty-sweet manly aquatic aromatic fragrance which is perfect for Indian summer and even winter according to me (As Indian winter is not icy cold).

Aquatic note makes it wearable in the day and the sweet salty grapefruit makes it wearable at night.

When I close my eyes I can imagine being at a secluded beach with white sand and greenery at a distance. Salty sea wind is blowing on my face. I am sitting there having a nice time in the evening. Maybe some small boats are passing by.

I like this smell as it has a manly vibe to it. Very versatile for Indian weather as it consists of mostly hot humid weather. In hot weather it projects like crazy. It also has a sweet salty side which makes is appropriate for colder weather too.

It has a very good longevity. I get about 2 to 3 hours extreme projection outdoors and then it becomes a scent bubble around the body for another 4 hours or so. Which is incredible for an aquatic fresh fragrance. I get puffs of it even after 7 or 8 hours of application. Even when you cannot feel it on you, others can. As skin scent it stays even more.
Even after bathing I can kind of smell it on my skin. Crazy, right? Never thought an aquatic could do this.

Once I sprayed once at around 11 am on my polo t-shirt, I was outdoor in the sun I came back home. I put it in my wardrobe. The next day 11 in the morning I could smell it on my polo. Just crazy!

How I apply : I usually apply some kind of non-aromatic moisturizer (like vaseline) before applying fragrance. It helps it stay longer.
If I am indoors, I only do two sprays (one on my neck and another on the chest, or two behind the earlobes) and it does the job pretty well. No need to apply more as it can be overpowering. When I am outdoors I spray a bit more. Like one spray behind each earlobes, one in the back of my head on hair. One on the chest on the clothes and one spray on one wrist pulse and dab together (not rub).

Smell : 9/10
Projection : 8/10

Beautiful but Forgettable Fragrance

Bvlgari removes the Strong Seaweed Vibe from the original AQVA Pour Homme making it more mass appealing. Sadly, this also removed much of the memorable characteristic of the original. I get more compliment wearing the original Pour Homme than I do with MARINE. I think it is because without the Seaweed smell, MARINE smell just like any other aquatic Nautica fragrance. I like MARINE but I don't ♥ it. Solid B-

Fipo010812

It smells like you're in a boat in the middle of the sea and that wind with a smell of salt water hits you in the face, good perfume for the summer but it's expensive for what it presents.

zesty_calco

A nice aquatic note with very present, salty seaweed. The seaweed is stronger at the opening. In the background I get grapefruit, a herbal accord, amber and maybe something a little floral. Not the most complex scent but that's not a bad thing. Reminds me of Kenneth Cole For Him that I recently reviewed.

Sillage and projection felt about average. APHM lasted about five hours before becoming soft; fine for work and made for hot weather. It has that mass appealing, clean, generic shower gel vibe but I like it. Many will say it smells good but I don't find it especially sexy. Unisex leaning masculine. The star here is the seaweed note. It gives a vegetal, green aspect to the perfume that makes it more interesting. A well done aquatic (with a cool bottle) for a nice price that doesn't give me a headache. Well done Bvlgari!

ricardo.mestre

I really like it, but my significant other says that "after a while it smells like a very ripe melon, and that's unsexy". I think he might be referring to the seaweed note.
Since I was born by the seaside, I love the sea in a bottle" vibe.
As anyone got the "melon" note comment too?

Aqva Marine is nice and boring....and quite frankly perhaps the most boring of the series. However, I do understand why this flanker is embraced by a lot of people. Aqva Marine will definitely be appealing to consumers that enjoy a more simple composition with fragrances---which is perfectly fine.

However, Aqva Pour Homme, and Amara are the best smelling of this series particularly if you enjoy aquatic colognes that have a more complex, and bold composition.

This is the ultimate summer fragrance. It is the best representation of salty sea water. Epitome of a fresh. This smells like the sea in the bottle. Smells like a turquoise shallow sea waters that can pierce through he heat and sun and give you this watery cooling effect. Neroli makes it feel clean, like soap clean and woody amber and orange notes make it gentle sweet in the high heat. In the cold this cam be a bit sour but that sour feel it totally not there in the high summer heat because in the heat these notes blend into a fresh, semi sweet frag. But don't think chocolate or sugar or something heavy sweet. It's like, if you were sitting in the sea and eating an almost frozen watermelon. Or if you had a glass of ice cold cucumbers. That kind of fresh sweet. This frag and light Blue Living Stromboli are the best frags for summer blazing days. It won't turn bad, no matter how hot it is. It won't choke anyone no matter how much you apply. It is inoffensive yet it lingers around you in the air as you move, leaving a cooling effect. Not a projection monster but it wasn't intended to be.

This is one of the rare frags that will and can withstand whatever temperature you throw at it as it is designed for extreme summers, that leaves you cooled and refreshed. Aside Living Stromboli, this is maybe the only frag that can really do that. Only for extreme heat, day wear. Won't work anywhere else.

Skjei

Some people might have been critical to Aqva Marine's performance. Well, after an application of only two sprays on my neck, I was told to smell like a whole drugstore with a bit feminine feel to it. The scent is kind of salty and green. It is really strong, and on my skin it projects like a beast and is noticeable really long time. So the performance is great. The only disadvantage might be the type of smell. Yes, it is salty, but it is also pretty flowery due to Neroli note. Therefore, in my opinion, this fragrance could have been easily classified as a unisex one.

Art

The world best sea note fragrance! You can feel the scent from the beach air.

This is the real sea note that doesn't fake aquatic cheapie by citrusy like other fragrance, real sea breeze salty yet sexiness. This is my signature scent and the first fragrance I bought 10 years ago, and yes it still my best so far. Imagine the turquoise lagoon in South East Asia Pacific with the sun shine over the sky!
I want to gave it 100/10 score, but it longevity is just average so I give it 10/10. ;p
Sea water droplets on the skin. The best summer fragrance on earth!

legion

its not particularly strong, its linear and not really revolutionary in any way. We've seen aquatic frags like this before, but if you are looking for a summer/ holidays/ beach perfume this is a great option. It smells classy and expensive.

MaryamOHS

it's a salty aquatic, green scent, with a little sweetness that makes it beyond lovely, the sweetness adds a feminine edge to it.

koots88

My new summer favorite right here. I have enough summer citrus frags that are supposed to smell "marine" or aquatic, but this one really does. This is wonderful and dries down to very light fresh mountain air scent to me, slightly feminine though, but not at all a bad thing. I am so pleasantly surprised by this one

Ellej32

This fragrance does smell very fresh aquatic clean and unisex. Actually reminds me of a perfume my sister used to wear, think it’s d&g light blue.. but doesn’t smell like Versace eau fraiche to my nose.. when I ask people to smell this up close they love it, if you’re looking for a light airy summer fragrance that you can be extremely trigger heavy with this is it.

Jms710frag

Ok. Very summery scent. Freshness at its best and very green. I can smell many green notes. Seaweed petitgrain and grapefruit very generic. Less synthetic and less strong than its sister amara.more suitable for sure in the morning. However very easy and pleasant scent

chairat.luck.pluem

It was designed by perfumer "Jacques Cavallier" , the creator of the original Aqua Pour Homme fragrance, who tried to evoke the natural freshness and the strength of the ocean with Posidonia Oceanica seaweed, grapefruit and rosemary.

Fresh salty a bit citrusy. this is something very unique unlike other aquatic scents.
This remind me of a sunny day on a beach.
Great scent for outdoors guys.

I bought this fragrance at Marshalls for $60.00.
It smells great but the performance on it is terrible. This fragrance became a barely noticeable light skin scent after 30 minutes. It was a disappointment! I would not repurchase or recommend!

For Summer, you can't get better than this. Sweet, salty, fresh, woody, marine with citrusses. A lovely man's perfume. One of my favorites.

addiehominem

Very calone-heavy, kind of indistinct aquatic fresh scent. Smells like chlorinated water, melon, with just a pinch of citrus (grapefruit?) brightness. Mellow, but not -too- soft. The musk/woodiness in the base is typical of men's cologne. Basically smells like a nicer version of the 'ocean' scents you can find in BBW sprays, home candles, etc. Aqva Marine is pleasant if not unique, and great for layering with other scents for summer.

Wow, I love it. Puts a smile on my face just like Versace Pour Homme. I feel like I'm at the beach wearing this. Imagine you're walking on the beach with your feet in the sand. You get a combination of the seawater that is a little salty and sweet mixed together with sea breeze blowing in the wind. Hence the marine. The scent is just as nice as the bottle if not better. Got the 5oz bottle for $35.

Amazing cologne! Smells like a mild version Invictus Aqua '16 with reduced sharp-citrus notes. If you don't have or cannot locate a bottle of Invictus Aqua '16, this will be the best clone you can buy! Aqva Marine smells like a grown man, and refined version of Invictus Aqua '16.

Excellent all purpose summer freshy, that will make you feel good, smell great, and be appealing to those around you during the hot summer days/nights! Performance and longevity isn't as good as Invictus Aqua '16 though.

Honestly, not much to add to Buysblind's comments below. A fresh, aquatic scent perfect for a summer's day! perfectly blended juice. a clean initial blast that dries down to an oceany scent, but there's a floral undercurrent that takes the edge off the seaweed - creating that standing by the ocean vibe. Great longevity. A winner in my book!

Buysblind

If Aqva is a journey deep into the sea, Marine is the return, resting alongside the shore as the waves lap at your feet. This is very much a salt-water aquatic scent and smells like a fresh sea breeze while standing by the shore. Water and seaweed have a strong presence and are blended among more aromatic, floral notes like rosemary and Neroli. The presence of citrus, grapefruit, lemon, help maintain Marine's freshness. It's in a brighter, higher register than the original--more airy, more floral, more sun--but still remains very true to the aquatic theme. Marine is a clean, fresh scent but still packs plenty of seaweed in its punch. Sillage is very good and longevity is about average. While I wear Aqva all year around, I would reserve Marine mostly for the spring and summer. Different enough from Aqva to warrant owning both, while Marine doesn't knock the original off its pedestal as the most authentic/best designer aquatic, it certainly helps to further develop the line and offers a brighter, breezier option. Thumbs up, 7.5/10.

If you must ask, there the Aqva Tonic and Aqva Marine Tonic. I've had the Aqva Marine Tonic and it's more uplifting, refreshing and the seaweed accord is more forward also.

Does anyone know if this edition and the toniq are the same in presentation of scent? Marine and Markne Toniq, please somome prvt me.

The God of Sea

Just bought my 15th bottle today! Love this so much, it my signature scent for over 9 years! The real sea scent, every time I wear it I feel like I'm Poseidon himself ;) Citrus, Seaweed, Cedar, Neroli make me feel like Blue Hawaii cocktail on the beach! and I always wear this when I walking around sea side....
The salty smell with cedar is just like smelling of wood that sunk in the sea for a long long time , and make my skin smell like I just finished diving and droplets of sea water dry under the sun... it perfect and fun, what I can imagine this scent!
Scent: 10/10 (real sea scent)

Perfect for beach party, or anytime you want to feel like you are on the beach!
I will wear this perfume entire life for sure!

A sublime marine and fresh fragrance. Carefully blended in my opinion. Longevity and silage are good. I can smell: florals, salt, seawater, lemons and woods. This is so good - one the nicest fragrances for men in the world!

Looking something to use in a daily basis, just window shopping went to the perfume shops floor in the mall, decided to check one shop, on the window shelves they’re a bunch of perfumes. I sow this one laying below the last shelves. Ask the sale attendant if I can smell it he spray it in my neck BOOM it just hit me, I just been transported on a ship traveling to an island. This scent is just an ALL NATURAL SEA BREAZZ. It’s that good bough it wearing it every possible way, any scenario or occasion. LOVE IT..........

Call me crazy, but it smells similar, to some extent, to the original 212 Men by Carolina. I had a vintage bottle and I get very similar top notes. Not exactly the same but similar vibe.
Anyway, make sure you get the bottle vintage bottle 2011 and earlier. Looks like:

AQVA (large text)
Pour homme (small text)

Marine (small text)

Looks like the picture above.

Stronger, sillage is better and deeper, richer smell. Great aquatic summer scent, although I find myself wearing this on days that are 65 degrees and warmer. Love the ocean vibe it puts off like salty sea air on a semi cloudy day.

4scentsin1day

Love it, this is a great summertime scent. to describe it in three words would be fresh, cool and uplifting.

A perfect Summer signature scent for anyone of any age I can't see many people disliking this. It's a crowd pleaser in my opinion.

The performance of this based on Fragrantica stats is pretty spot on. its Longevity and projection/sillage are moderate, nothing more and nothing less. I would give performance an overall 7/10

on another note I have seen a lot of reviewers most likely die hard frag heads on here claiming that it smells ''like seawater'' or ''eggs'' (of all things, Eggs ??) I think that when people say it smells like seawater or the ocean don't take it literally as this does not smell exactly like ''the ocean'' or a beach. Hard to explain but it gives a vibe of the coolness of an ocean breeze.

skuzuu

Sea water in a bottle.

ffanatic

This is lovely! It smells both refreshing and relaxing, at the same time.

I don't really get the seaweed vibe. What I do get is grapefruit, watery notes with an woodsy-herbal calming undertone.

You just can't go wrong with this one, pretty hard to over-spray I don't think it can get obnoxious; really inoffensive scent.

Im not saying it's perfect for the office, rather for hanging out with friends and family because of its playful nature. I wouldn't wear this on a date however because it's too tame, too calm.

Final rating : 9/10. As a guy in his 20's, this is signature-scent worthy. Maybe not as good for the older crowd, but ideal for young guys

radi85

Bought it today. I also tried Atlantique-it's literally a Sauvage clone. Aqva Marine is maybe the best example of aquatic scent-it really smells like water. Very clean and fresh smelling! The original Aqva was good-this is even better!

KevTheBarbarian

Smelling this fragrance I Imagine a sea side town in Italy where everyone is smiling. You are there to visit the lighthouse. You take the journey and find the lighthouse is surrounded by blossom trees on your backside. The scent of the ocean is what really hits you when you stand at the top of the lighthouse. The ocean air blowing in your face drowns out the blossom trees, but you know they will be around on a calm day. Rating: 8 out of 10

francois81

First of all, I not tested the original Aqva (yet), so I can’t compare it. This one is a classy citric-salty-aquatic, summer/beach scent. Because of the seaweed, this frag is a bit unique, but not an outstanding stuff. The very long lasting (1 hour) top note is great with the grapefruit, neroli and the seaweed, but later, int he mid, all I get is a bit salty water notes, nothing other. I don’t know why, but I do not want to smell like water… The base is a very very weak cedar, not too convincig. If you want to wear a classy watery perfume buy it, but I think not worth the money, and I pass it.

- Summer/day time scent, not too versatile

- sillage, as most of the aquatic scent is poor, but the longevity impressed me, I got 6-7 hours, whis is verty good.

- safe blind buy

This is one of the best fragrance I've ever used. The longevity is incredible and the scent is so fresh that I feel chilled out throughout the day.

saajbudy

Very fresh and crispy summer scent...Best for beach hang outs..
The only problem is longevity 4 to 6 hours with moderate sillage

Overall a good summer scent

CMTHUNDERS

This is absolutely one of my favorite smells! If you love those uber aquatic, cool smells you'll LOVE this! And to me it smells almost IDENTICAL to Versace man eau fraiche.

jansiri

Such an inoffensive scent that I cant imagine anyone not liking! As a woman almost feel like this fragrance is unisex because it is so well blended. There is no sharpness that I see in many mens fragrances. And the lasting power is great too!

Its fresh, aquatic(has that just stepped out of the shower smell)and clean. I highly recommend this scent for people who are fussy with perfume or dont like strong scents.

MsHeisenberg

This is one that I chose for my husband since I'm "the nose" of the family.
He smells SO AMAZING in this fragrance!
He and I tend to both be partial to aquatic, clean, salty, ozonic fragrances and this one is a gorgeous BEAST. It lasts for hours but even when he uses a few healthy sprays, this never has that "I dominate the atmosphere and steal all of your oxygen with my perfume" kind of presence that others are prone to.
You absolutely get what you pay for with Bvlgari and Aqva is no exception.
Scent: 9/10
Longevity: 7/10

nima_dolati

Nice but i get bored after a while. I like to smell it for some moments. I can not tolerate it is on me for whole day. Bitter green ocean scent it is.

Hyasakyt

Great scent but I'm an Aqva lover so totally biased.
Opening is grapefruit mandarin in a blast that lasts minutes then you're into the marine aquatic scent.
It stays fresh marine and not just citrus (like other 'aquatics' that can end up smelling like lemon floor cleaner).
I can see how many could get the marine elements coming through on their skin more than on the original Aqva but try before you buy and if it works will be hard to beat for a fresh uplifting option that not everyone's wearing.

alosula87

I had this one and Versace Eros at the same time. This one did not compete that well against Eros but it is still a very good scent. The opened air freshness (citrus) was a delight and as a daily driver for work it was good. I also found it to very comfortable to take with me anywhere because of the packaging.
It lasts quite long. Probably 5-6h is a good estimate.
It fills the whole room. I was walking in to a place and a girl smelled it from a distance. Do not exaggerate. Should be put on a bit less then others.

5fashion

Good projection.
It really reminds me of my island on the summer. Madeira Island.
I really enjoy the salty scent resemble ocean sea.
First spray reminds me of Mango. after a while the salty starts to come.

Scent 9/10 really does well on what is supposed to do MARINE(ocean).

Longevity 8/10
projection 7/10

Which one iz batter for me in Bvlgari Aqua Line cz I love aquatic fresh citrus Scent any one Suggest me..

Art

For me it far better than the original aqua pour homme , real sea breeze that comes from the beach in southern of Pacific. Brighter citrus, a bit of salty air, cool feeling from tropical flowers and sweetness from tropical drinks. The first time I smelled it reminded me my hometown in the southern of Thailand , the islands, shores, blue lagoon and sand beach.. just like when I standing beach side and wind flowing through me mixed with the trees and flowers smells around. It's perfect!

Oldspice

My original opinion of Aqva Marine was negative. It opens strong with an air freshener vibe that I don't find pleasant. It gets better after it settles. Overall it has more strength and longevity than original Aqva but it's still pretty light after it settles in.

It's not bad but I like Nautica Voyage and others better in terms of scent and performance.

RenoirH

This is taking an aquatic a bit too far. Smells like a guy who, minutes ago, had a grueling fight with an octopus on sea.

John Wayne 86

Read/watched a bunch of reviews and thought it may smell like the ocean. Went to the store to test/purchase and no way. Does not remind me of the ocean and I thought it stunk. Pass.

Update: Its the seaweed. It does smell like seaweed. So perhaps a heavily infested with algae or seaweed ocean. I get that. But I do not like the smell of seaweed. If you do, you will enjoy this.

Beethoven's TeaParty

Not much to say here. Just wanted to add my two scents as I've had this for a long time and haven't worn it much, but wanted to write a quick review.

It's hard to describe other then it smells of the beach or the ocean and some sort of salt water smell. It's all so faint, you can't really tell. It's CRAZY light and has almost no performance on my skin even with Vegetable Glycerine moisturizer on!!! Within a few seconds of spraying 6 sprays on, I can barely tell if I even put it on. It lasts maybe 3-6 hours with the softest sillage, almost imperceptible. Others say they can barely smell me sometimes, other times not at all in the first 1-4 hours. It's a barely there skin scent after 1 hour, which is kind of nice for summer when you don't want to smell too strong in the hot summer temps. Leaves a nice clean salt water beach smell on your skin. I like it for after the beach and having drinks while waiting for dinner at the beach. It's very light, won't offend anyone, and keeps the just at the beach vibe going until it's time for bed. That's pretty much the only time I wear it.

Other then that, it's kind of useless and has really bad performance. I might try the Atlantique and Amara if I can get some samples. I like the idea of a light sea scent but it needs to have SOME performance! This is just ridiculously weak.

ThrowingShade

This is an extremely interesting scent, best for Spring/Summer use. First spray I get a very distinct fruity aqua smell, with an underlying whiff of pencil shavings. 20 minutes or so a very salty marine note dominates. I get excellent projection and it will last 5-6 hours with 7-8 liberal sprays in the key areas. It gets compliments and questions, which is a sign this is good juice for me to use. This isn't a scent for everyone though, as I gave my Dad a few sprays and it was very synthetic and metallic smelling. So this one is very dependent on your chemistry.

lee99

This is an awesome aquatic fragrance. It lasts 5-6 hours and projects nicely. My favorite in this category by a mile.

doniking

I reeeeaallly love the smell. This will be my daily casual scent regardless the longevity. I really hope it lasts longer.

davide2111

Profumo 5/10
Sillage 7/10

Obee

Very fresh and salty. a true master piece

RobbieX

If you want a fresh, sweet, well blended and citrussy EDT with marine saltiness (not overdone) - then this little masterpiece has character as well. It lasts all day! (on me) I think it's the nicest marine perfume out there!

Lockon

Blind buy, i bought it last year at the drug store for $16.00 bucks.
For the 3.4 oz bottle, wish i bought more than one.
I would wear this on a date up close.
Not harsh...smells great.
Sillage is about 4 feet...and more if the wind is blowing.
Last about 9 hours on me.
Received many compliments.
Would buy again.

JovanK

Opening is a bit too harsh and bitter, but the drydown is really enjoyable

keithleo

Quite good one in this genre, not offensive nor "cheapy"

erha69

Nice and fresh fragrance but the problem is longevity.

simpa256

Amazing fresh fragrance. Reminds me of the sea. But it's not that aquatic which smells of stale water like many aquatics do. It is in the same vein as Versace Pour Homme. Not the same smell but the same vibe. This is more watery and bitter in the dry down but just slightly while pour home is more sweet. Lasts longer then Versace.

This screams summer and works only in summer heat, both day or night. Vacation, coffee, lunch during blazing summer days... it will feel cooling and refreshing, no one will mind as it is not offensive no matter if you apply a lot. Definitely not complex nor should it be because it wants to be only one thing... summer hot weather fragrance that lasts and smells pleasant yet light. Is it better than Versace Pour Homme? No. Is it far? No. Similar vibe, different frags that get the job done and ppl love both.

Django7

(female perspective) I tried this on at a perfume counter last week and fell in love with it. I couldn't stop thinking about this saltyesqe unique fragrance. So I went back to the store to buy it and to my surprise D: it's a men's fragrance! I didn't realize that the first time, long story, but I tried it again anyways. Every time I smelled this, it literally made my mouth water. I will not be buying this for myself but I will be buying for my man. And I like the gentle sillage, it will keep my face burried right up against his body.
Update: I did buy this for my boyfriend and he too, quickly became obsessed. Awesome fresh yet sexy scent. Love it!

Hi everyone!

As a Filipino, most people here prefer lighter scents, as we in the Philippines have a predominantly tropical climate. But being a 3rd world country, most haven't updated their perfume game yet, at least on knowledge, information or relativity. You guessed it. Armani Acqua di Gio and Issey Miyake are used by nearly every guy who wants to smell good here. I got the Bvlgari Aqva Marine as I didn't have a light aquatic scent last year, and I stayed far away from Bvlgari Aqva & the 2 perfumes previously mentioned. Bought this to sort of "fit in", but I wear this only for cycling or other solo activities, as Aqva as become quite of a go-to scent for a LOT of guys here. Great inoffensive & very likeable scent, perfect for those instances when you just need to smell good for others. No hate, though. I seriously consider another bottle when my juice runs out.

ledlight

I have tested this morning about 11am and now is 3pm,i can still feel the smell on my skin, even after i washed my hands..I like this fragrance but only thing is sillage is very weak but not bad,,This fragrance is good for day time in a warm weather...I found a great deal on this fragrance $25 50ml or 2 for $40 for this price i am happy with fragrance...

I love this frag for the really hot days here in Texas
.its longevity last about 8 hrs and Silage is moderate but overall i will buy again but only use in the summer during the daytime .it is a very very fresh scent.

farook

I have given this perfume so many chances for it to come good. It's been a disappointment-it has no projection and its longevity is non existent. I've literally doused myself in it and it disappears after less than an hour. Though i recieved it as a gift, I feel bad for the giver because I've had better scent, projection and longevity from unknown brands. Have tried in on skin-disappears really fast. On clothes, and that too on a hot day(no shortage of that in sunny Singapore)-disappears after an hour and a half. Don't even get me started if I'm wearing this in a cold office because deodorant can outlast and out project this perfume. Thumbs down from me. Extremely disappointing.

P. S. Update : This won't even work as an air refresher.

flyngace

This fragrance is really meant for Summer days! It reminds me of walking on beach, with the waves crashing, and the smell of seaweed in the air.

When I first sprayed this frag I was surprised how much it smells of seaweed. I was happy to find out that that initial blast subsides and you are left with a salty, seaweed smell (after 30 minutes). The overall frag is not that offensive. It really does smell like you have been walking on the beach for a few hours.

On my skin it lasts around 5-6 hours.

Recommended for casual, relaxing, summer days with friends.

Overall: 6/10
Longevity: 7/10
Sillage: 7/10

SprinterE5

Fresh fragrance. But I d prefer BVlgari pour homme, stronger and lasts longer. Aqua is not that strong, lasts about hour and half even when I spray 3 times, But smell is cool.

Overall 7/10
Longevity 3/10

La_Douleur_Exquise

I really love this one. My uncle used to wear it and I can say I never got tired of smelling it. It's fresh, not too pungent. I would call it classy.

zombieldehyde

I love this scent! I did not expect to love it since I like girly perfumes.

EDIT:
I wish it came with a more female-friendly scent. I love it on my bf tho. I think this fragrance is one of the things that attracted me to him LOL. It smells so lovely on him.

kd17

Pretty much smells like the ocean! Not a bad scent at all, perfect for the hot Summer days. Very atmospheric, just be cautious if you really do not like salty notes.

Bkkorn

Great unique aquatic.

For the first time, I feel someone finally made a true seashore aquatic that wasn't heavily based on citrus.

Clean, fresh and slightly marine scented. Longevity is average (4-5 hours) on my skin. This is a great daytime summer scent for outdoors. What I like most about this is that although it's a typical clean and light aquatic, it does have a different spin on it to make it unique, good for finding your own signature scent so you don't smell like everyone else

Clean, crisp with a slightly marine (seaweed and barnacle) undertone. This is an aquatic that truly does feel like your laying close to the beach shoreline of a boat harbor while the seagulls sqaw about.

Ryanmmas26

This fragrance and me have a love and hate relationship !

When I first bought this scent many years ago when I first started getting into buying fragrances I remember spraying this and LOVING THIS. So then I sprayed it on my skin and it smelled horrible after about 5 minutes. So because of that I sold this to my step dad for cheap since he also liked wearing fragrances. HAHA, and then immediately after selling it I instantly regretted it because it smelled amazing on him and the way it smelled on him was exactly what I wanted in a summer scent as it was very crisp without being sharp,semi-sweet,natural smelling aquatic and ive tried a lot of scents over the years and this scent in my opinion is the closest representation of capturing the scent of Ocean breeze that I just love.

So after smelling this on my step dad I decided after all these years to purchase it again and Im so glad I did because maybe my skin chemistry has changed but this smells just as good on me as it did on him back then !

This not only has an amazing smell but it also has amazing performance ! This projects VERY well so be easy on the trigger as 2-3 sprays MAX if your indoors or 4-5 if you will be outdoors and this also lasts me 8-12 hours which is amazing for an aquatic.

Overall rating-- 8.5 out of 10 ! A great refreshing aquatic thats actually unique and has great performance

nlimgc

This perfume smells like having sex beside the sea. Just a metaphor. Too bad it has poor longevity and sillage. Smell is like what I have mentioned earlier when it reaches top performance moment around 10 minutes, which is WOAH!
For me, it somehow reminds me of Nuit Hugo Boss for women.

Smell: 8/10
Longevity: 4/10
Sillage: 4/10

sheynose

To me this smells a lot like Dior Homme Sport without the ginger. It is a good safe daily wear for the summer. A very good alternate for fans of DHS who want to save some money, or just don't care for ginger. Just don't expect the same performance because DHS smokes it in that category.

drbull

This is a nice hot weather day fragrance for those who just enter to the world of fragrance (like me :P) You won't feel odd or uneasy when you put it on.

The scent is fresh with moderate longevity and projection. It is linear to me as I don't feel much difference between the middle and base note.

Highly recommend to the new joiners!

mamehaviolette

Absolutely gorgeous! Genuinely marine without being nauseating, woody and aromatic at the same time. It is very well made and the bottle is gorgeous. I can't wait to buy some of this and to wear it, also if it was created for men.

fergali

I enjoy the smell of this alot. It smells like the beach the sea and the salt. It is different and it does what it promises. 3 sprays enough form me. Definitely a summer fragrance. Longevity is 6 hours on my skin which is good for a summer fragrance.

RobbieX

An absolutely gorgeous marine, citrus and salt perfume for men that lasts - there ya go!

AmmoSexual

It's how your jacket smells after visiting Seaworld

vihri

I was born in a town by the sea and I've lived a few years near the ocean, and this is what an aquatic smell really is. It's a bit sweet, with a very distinct smell of rotten seaweed. I do not find that smell particularly flattering, but it's interesting and it's not your average synthetic sweet lemony shit that everyone seems to wear.

A very refreshing masculine fragrance.

It is saltier and brighter than the regular Aqva, and personally speaking, more interesting, appealing and of my taste. It starts with a discreet grapefruit note that turns into a salty watery type of smell. I love that it exudes an overall freshness and notes cant be recognised.

It is seaside virility, very energetic and uplifting and the best version of the Aqva concept.

Definitely a daytime scent, with really good longevity (7 hours) and moderate sillage.

I_Like_Sand

Having spent much of my life along the rocky coasts of Scandinavia, this particular fragrance immediately found its place amongst my all time favourite scents. It's not salty. It's not seaweedy. But it definitely does remind me of the ocean. A Nordic type of ocean that is. An ocean that smells very marine indeed, surrounded by pine trees and other evergreens. An ocean that, similar to this fragrance, is beautiful in all types of weather all year around. The citrus notes adds to the overall freshness and helps in providing a lovely sea breeze type of feeling. A really really great fragrance that will always be in my wardrobe.

Saransh101089

I like both Aqva and Aqva Marine. Sweet-salty oceanic vibe. Sometimes becomes a bit too much. Good for outdoors but, an absolute no go for close settings.

Having said that, both these are absolute beasts in terms of longevity. I do not know if it's just on my skin or if it's because of the tropical climate but these stay on for at least 12 hours with solid projection for the first 6.

And, even though it's sometimes hard to spray with the big 100ml bottles, they look beautiful on the shelf.

7.5/10

P.S. - Not a safe scent. After using this for a long time, I understand the polarity in reviews. Try before you buy.

Not the best aquatic on the market, I usually love aquatics but this one is not something I love. I dont hate the scent but it can be nauseous at time If smell yourself while wearing this.

Hot summer day, casual good longevity (8h+)

LE NEZ - zouhair

Un parfum aux notes marine, pour surfeur ou personne qui aime sentir bon tout court, il ressemble a beaucoup d'autres fragrances, un classique, pour été surtout mai n’empêche pas de le mettre de temps a autre

nionsunny

I have always love this scent on my husband and the cute light blue round bottle :) Last night i was wondering would it work on be so I sprayed on me just 1 squirt and being just EDT believe it or not i wake and 1st thing that hit my nose was this lovely fresh scent. So the longevity is very good.

Housebliss

As many others have said, while the original Aqva is the deep blue sea, Marine is closer to the shore where the water is a greenish blue with a soothing shore break accompanied by a white sandy beach.

I personally don't smell any seaweed or fish for that matter. In fact I'm having a hard time smelling any specific notes at all. It's like you're spraying a "scenario" on your skin, if you know what I mean. That scenario is the one I described above in regards to Marine.

On my skin it lasts over 12 hours. I haven't used it that much, so I'm unsure in regards to sillage. I do smell it in my personal space though.

I think this is much better than the original Aqva. It has a freshness that the original is missing. I do feel they serve different purposes though, so if you like darker aquatics go for Aqva. If you like more laidback, breezy and fresh aquatics, go for Marine. Do try them both before making up your mind.

This is really good, and I'll be using it much more often.

rickyfreaky13

Imagine this: Wake up in the morning on the yacht, in the middle of blue ocean, wearing white shirt, feel the summer breeze, no noise, only the sound of wave and morning birds. This is Bvlgari Aqva Marine.

jardinedavies

i always have this in my bag.. very reliable summer scent.

Vesika

Our IT wear this scent. Ooh, pefume smels soooooooo beautiful. Will buy for my husband :)

gabri

I love this, reminds me of beach vacations under the umbrella in Riccione.

kingderella

Lighter than the "adjectiveless" AQVA, and a bit on the generic side. Not a bad fragrance though, if you're looking for something aquatic and unobstrusive.

Jamiljames

This is beautifully aquatic. It has a salty seaside smell. The smell is fairly simple but it smells great for a reasonable time. Great to wear in hot weather. Love it.

omid-am

its a soft and beautiful fragrance i feel that i am at the beach and i feel the blue sky and fresh air i love it .
خیلی این کار رو پسندیدم نرم خنک و بی آزار مثل دریا وقتی هوای خنک و خوبی داره

Boocifer

Something in this edt just does not sit well on my skin. Suppose to be an aquatic and all I smell is flowers almost feminine like. Bought a 100 mil and sprayed it 4 times. Wanna trade with me?

budimanarief87

RobbieX

Aqva Marine IS fresh and salty. But, for me, there is no fishy smell at all. It's a lovely well blended scent that's great for Summer.

duzmantic

I wanted to get this so I can complete my Aqva collection. Beautiful opening. Then I get a smell of a fish tank mixed with eggs. Sorry but I'll pass. I'm going to stick with Poure Homme and Amara.

Úrbez larres.lardies

It smells much worse than the original Bvlgari Aqua. I recommend the original.

Takuma

On my skin, it opens with the fresh citrus notes with salty aquatic notes; the citrus notes fade in 5-10 minutes, then salty aquatic notes become dominant, which gradually introduce musky notes in 10-15 minutes; the sweet aquatic notes combined with a hint of musk stay for 3-4 hours. It has blighter opening and the seaweed note is less potent, although still dominant, than the original Aqva Pour Homme.

It projects fairy well – when I was wearing this fragrance, people next to me could smell the scent.

I like the presentation - the bottle is unique and looks great.

But I personally do not like the seaweed note; it is not fishy, at least on my skin, but too sour to my preference.

simanchalratha

Emboldened by the messages on this board , I bought one - the marine version . But I feel I am befooled . Because the perfume has a note of stinking rotten marine fish/frog .
My family really abhors the note .
I lament why I did not purchase the original aqva pour homme version .

kanak

I have been a long time fan of bvlgari frags. I live in a place with warm weather 9 months a year and most Bvlgari frags work really well on me in the heat. Aqva Marine is actually milder than the original, mostly a peppery melon in the beginning, the petitgrain I guess, and then kind of salty, aquatic rest of the way. I dont get any fish notes on my skin . Maybe the sea weed note reacts in a bad way on some people. All I get is a wonderful watery, peppery melon goodness with an underlying tartness from the seaweed for about 5 hours. Projection is kinda on the soft side as far as I can tell but I have gotten compliments long after I stopped smelling it on myself so maybe it is one of those stealth frags that stays longer than you think. Like all Bvlgari's, this is high quality stuff and one of the best summer frags in my wardrobe. Love it. 8.5/10

zepfan81

It's big brother reminds me of being on a boat in the middle of the ocean at dusk. Just complete calm. This reminds me of a beach in the middle of the day. It's good. There are some I like better, nights not bad at all. Lasts forever. It's just a light version of its predecessor.

Lumiere

Bvlgari class, seemingly common idea-freshness of the sea, but Aqua Marine is done with the delicate unobtrusive manner, it is rather a skin scent, reminding soft sea breeze with no sharp notes. Well-rounded and settling in soft musky way, may be considered a unisex. I personally steal it for own use at times, ad I am a female. Separate kudos for the convenient flacon easy to put in a bag.

beavisbonce

Mood lifting and relaxing at the same time just like a day by the beach. Has as much lasting power as some of my YSLs and Chanels so I highly recommend. I'd even pay full price. I personally prefer it to the original aqva which is nice but somehow melancholy and brooding. Like the sea with a shark somewhere. Marine is like Amity beach after Jaws has been dealt with.

That_John_Guy

This smells similar to the regular Aqva, but with a saltier note. It is almost literal, it really smells like you were just swimming in clean ocean water. So, not so much like you are necessarily wearing a clean, fresh, aquatic fragrance, but that you just went swimming in the ocean. The literalness makes it sort of different from normal aquatic fragrances like Cool Waters, Tommy Bahama Set Sails, and so on. If that's what you are going for, Aqva Marine is for you. Likable, for sure.

RobbieX

Gorgeous, marine, salty and fresh. This is one of the nicest Summer Holiday fragrances.

Hòa Au Mario

This one is really fresh, and I know lots of people like it. But on my skin, it smells fishy. That is why I don't like it. Anyway, the dry down is much better when the fish smell is less and neroli / rosemary are more.

Rhoidz

Objectively,
This fragrance truly stands up to it's name AQVA MARINE!
That's all what it's about sea water and more sea breeze.

I don't find the scent offensive as most people do here.
It's actually quite pleasant for me since I do love aquatic scent to begin with. I know some people here can't stand aquatic, for these people, you need to STAY AWAY from this fragrance because even tho a little bit of grapefruit is added here and there, this scent is like 99% Aquatic + 1% (grapefruit, etc).

The smells is very oceanic and salty and my nose interprets these scents as a masculine and fresh scents. Although, I think girls/women can easily pull this one off too.

Aqva marine is very versatile, you can wear it to work, holiday, sunny day, beach, weekend getaway, etc.

Subjectively,
In comparison to it's original bvlgari Aqva. I would say Aqva marine has the stronger overall scent. More salty, more oceanic, and even more power.

The original Aqva's scent is more well blended between the orange and the seaweed hence it gives you like 60% aquatic 40% citric overall.
But this flanker the aqva marine is giving you like 90% aquatic smell (which many can't tolerate and stand).

Performance wise, I don't know if this is just my skin chemistry or what, but I get like crazy longevity and crazy projection. Definitely much much better than the original bvlgari aqva. On my skin, Aqva Marine projects and lasts like A*men does to you, all day long. 10+ hours and getting to scent cloud in the 8th hour of wearing. Even in a sunny day.

(4 sprays)
Longevity : 10/10 (12+ hours)
Sillage : 10/10 (8th hrs becoming a scent cloud)
Scent : 10/10 (I'm biassed towards aquatic)

Very harsh synthetic citrus opening with a slight floral quality. As it dries down there is an apparent watery oceanic vibe that appears. However it quickly turns salty and fishy! I really did not like this one. It's too synthetic and fishy smelly for me. I would feel so akward wearing this.
