All in all, a very plain and simple fragrance, with no depth or evolving drydown, though admittedly somewhat uplifting for the mood. But uplifting only in the opening where the wood note is not so heavily noticed.
What you get from this is simply Neroli, citrus and wood. It is a masculine smell, because of the heavy wood notes. Not enough florals in it to turn it into a unisex or feminine smell.
This fragrance also reminds me of old people, something a grandfather would wear. It just doesn't feel modern and after multiple attempts, it still didn't give me any particular excitement.
Definitely not bad, but yet outdated and uninteresting. Buy only if you are a fan of Neroli, otherwise look into more modern fragrances.

jerrol37
Very happy. I blind bought and I’m pleasantly surprised.
Spicey Pickled Ginger
Manly but not macho. Not enough softness or floral to honestly be tried as unisex (your mileage may vary). Bitter citrus and wood. Good for summer, office safe, and women seem to like it.
An easy reach and good value with quality (except for the sprayer).
*edit
This doesn't remind me of Ferrari Bright Neroli in the least. Where that one turns to cheap soap quite fast, Bvlgari stays smelling of things found in nature - honestly no comparison.
Candyandy
1) Neroli in perfumes varies from very floral to very citrusy. Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli has the more citrusy kind but the floral aspect is still definitely present. TF Neroli Portofino comparisons are spot on, it's very similar.
2) Does neroli smell "old"? Some people seem to have the smell of neroli in general with old, grandfatherly men. If that's you, I don't mean to take that away for you, everyone likes their own thing. But if you are unsure whether you will like this, don't be scared by this! I am 24 and very much like this fragrance and many other neroli-based fragrances. Neroli is an awesome, natural smelling, clean, sweetish, citrusy-floral note. Perfect for a white shirt or t-shirt kind of day. It's safe, clean and inviting. Give it a chance! Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli is a good neroli scent with a nice price tag.

It's truly a beautiful creation, nothing complex, but just a wonderfully made fragrance. It's too bad the longevity isn't there. If this would last for 7 to 12 hours with a good decent dose of 3 hours of projection, say 2 to 3 feet; then Bulgari would sell the heck out of this stuff because it's that good!

This bottle reminds me of a yellow bronze Morris Marina :)
On to the fragrances, it has been compared to a particular opening of TF Neroli Portofino which is correct on the opening but not as smooth, maybe after a few more wears I will come to accept it for what it is.
I think this would be great to spray on a handkerchief whenever you have a running nose or want to get a hint of something that could of been?
Overall it a nice perfume nothing to bang on about to be honest. If you got £50 - £70 spare it worth adding to the existing collection.
Nothing new to this, but I like it on a personal note, can be worn on occasion to work and funeral without offending anyone.

It opens up fresh and beautiful with the neroli and citrusy thangy wangy, but it stays with you all day, and when the evening comes it turns musky and patchouly (at least on my skin), turning to another scent all together but still staying strong and manly.
Hands down one of my all time favourites of all the 100+ fragrances I've smelt so far in my life.

For someone who loves neroli but is bummed out by shitty performance this is a must try. I personally really enjoy this one

You know what I get? Modern Ambergris accord. Salty and fresh ambergris (with none of the fecal touches that many seems to think is necessary to make an Ambergris).

But the topnotes! The topnotes are GLORIOUS! To me, it smells like a squeaky-clean neroli, tinged with lime green sappiness. It's an abstraction of neroli, as if brightened and blurred by an instagram filter. It has strong Neroli Portofino vibes. I really enjoy it. This stage lasts 30 minutes on my skin.
But the rest of Wood Neroli's wear (another six hours or so on me) is a total letdown. It dries down to the archetypal basic "freshie" men's cologne, a sharp cedar musk thing, which to me means that you've probably smelled this or something like it before. Not offensive, but not something I want to smell like either.
I will probably give this one or two more tries before parting ways with my bottle.

I just feel like it's missing something vital that makes fragrances such as these really shine, especially during the hot weather.
I think it would benefit from a crisper and zestier citrus/woods combo.
If you have any other classic fragrances in this segment such as those from Tom Ford, Acqua di Parma, Mugler etc..., you likely won't be impressed with this.
Like it, but it's a pass for me.

At initial blast it smells zesty punch of citrus in the nostrils and boy is it good! It’s almost like a woodsy/citrus/floral shower gel smell I can’t explain.
However this doesn’t stay around for too long.
The dry down is a love/hate thing
While it has poor performance issues the dry down is f****** beautiful. My grandmother collects orange blossom flowers when our tree starts to produce oranges, weeks later the flowers wilt and dry up and leave behind an amazing jasmine-y green floral fragrance and this fragrance is reminiscent of that. This fragrance very well could be used by men and women it smells very much like a well done unisex fragrance.
Definitely a fragrance no one would hate. Maybe a dumb reach for those cooler weather spring days. Definitely a grab for the upcoming Easter season!

I was surprised by this. It's not at all what I expected - "Wood Neroli" as a title makes it feel "meh", and deserves a better title.
First spray: you can actually detect all of the notes mentioned. They don't compete, they all stand on their own. Its warm, classic-clean cologne vibe has a charming barber-shop style which might make it very popular.
10 mins in: Sporty incense? Is that possible? The neroli is here slowly wafting in front, but is earthy rather than soapy. There is no sweet or bitter vibe per-se, but there is a boldness that keeps it interesting.
1 hour: the sporty edge still remains, but here is where the neroli title makes a little more sense... the soapy quality finally comes through but remains earthy. The nagarmotha, I think, is what brings forth the incense vibe with the floral and citrus, introducing a welcome oriental/myrrh heart. Quite nice.
3 hours: the earthiness has mellowed out some, allowing the soapy/incense to round out and lose its sharpness. It also warms up at this point, allowing the woodsy base to stand out. Definitely not a skin scent on me, but not offensive or cloying at all. It is a little unusual and fascinating - all ages appropriate. It has plenty of sex appeal, I imagine this would be attractive on women as well. It maintains the barber shop style but is more modern...
I plan to buy this.

I would expect something like this to be an embraceable scent. But the clashing notes are repellent. Feels like Aqua Amara in this way. And, like Aqua Amara, I think this too will be discontinued. Bvlgari always excels with classy, embraceable scents (Original Aqua, Man in Black, White Tea). When they release ones that have these sharp, attacking notes, they don't go far.
The original Wood was much better. It takes you somewhere special when you smell it. Wood Neroli just pushes you away. This may appeal to some people, but it's not a classic Bvlgari.

I imagine a young aristocrat walking around the garden of his palace in a sunny spring day. he has sense of humor, is polite and charming.
Final note: 10/10
Great and unusual male fragrance.
Thumbs up!

asgeirn
The skin scent is also very nice, not like many of the others state, that it turns to something far less appealing.
I like all the stages of this beauty, and the best thing is also that it lasts and lasts, unlike its "brother"; Tom Ford Neroli Portofino.

EDIT: 16 hours after application having slept and showered there is a detectable amber and musk scent on the back of my hand with momentary hints of neroli. So, it lasts on skin. On fabric it still smells pretty strong after 24 hours or more.
EDIT: Ok, so the test card still smelled so great after a week or so in my coat pocket I pulled the trigger on a big bottle in a discount place. Indeed, it was the only one they had in stock and pretty cheap. I shall try it out this spring when it will go head to head with AdP Ginepro, TdH Vetiver and the last few drops of my Cerrutti 1881.

The opening just smells really good and the dry down is decent. I definitely prefer this over Man Wood Essence by a long shot.

Above average performance like 4-5 hrs on skin. I sprayed on my hair in the morning and during lunch the sweat mixed with my hair and still gives off a nice whiff.
Works best on slightly cool summer day, preferably 80F (25C). I tried when the weather outside is 95+ (33C) and it's just too annoying to my nose, even when I stayed in air conditioned office almost all the time.

The drydown is also very good, and I get: slightly warm musk, a bit amber and soft woods with the neroli still being there, but toned down. Smooth warm neroli.
Great release from Bvlgari, great fresh clean cut scent for warmer seasons. Has a bit of a professional vibe to it.

While I like Neroli Woods, it is still very similar to Neroli Portofino. It is cheaper though, but not cheaper than Ferrari Bright Neroli.

Wood Neroli isn't an orange/neroli bomb like some of the other neroli/orange colognes on the market. After the first 30+ minutes, the neroli/orange notes take a more regressive stand while remaining noticeable throughout the lifespan of the wearing. Allowing all the other wonderful notes to take shape creating a light and airy blend of wood notes, green notes, and musk notes that develop into a classy fragrance. That may remind you of Beach Hut Man by Amouage.

Scent 8.5/10 Better than original “Wood Essence” my first choice for this summer!
Project 7/10 In arms length for 2 hours than close to skin.
Longevity 7.5/10 You can’t expect too much for semi citrus-floral.
Finally Bvlgari back to their game again after failure with boring original “Wood Essence”
And thank for creativity of Mr. Morillas the master perfumer who created this neroli right again. This is kind of Aqua Di Gio in Neroli world !!!

C_Joel94
I got between 5-6 hours in performance, after that it will stay very close to skin.
This was the 2nd day I used it and so far I've received 8 compliments on how good I smelled.I am a young business professional and this is, to my opinion, the best release of this house and among the best of Alberto Morillas 2019 releases.
It is in the same smell family of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino or Mandarino de Amalfio but its by NO means the same. I personally prefer this one as it feels more modern and wearable.

A previous review mentioned 'old women' in reference to this scent and I can see where that's coming from. However to put it in a less negative context Wood Neroli recalls certain scents from a bygone era, an era when 'young women' (and even some men) would've worn something similar. I believe it's the neroli which is responsible for this.
There is a certain elegance and even a slightly intoxicating swagger to this fragrance, like sexual tension creeping into a very formal occasion, it's nice & clean but with a naughty underbelly, I wonder if there's some jasmine or hedione in this...
The longer I wore this one the more I liked it. Still unsure if it's my kind of thing but it certainly made an impression.
Unisex for sure.
Edit: Just realised Alberto Morillas was the nose for this, how does the guy produce so many scents? Has he been cloned?!! Wow.

K-man of finland
The start is neroli and just clean and ”right out of shower”.
My girlfriend says it smells like a old women, but in the other hand she is not into summer fragranses at all. This is old women and aqua amara smells like piss, according to her:D
After about 5h this turns into a very easy ,safe, modern scent.
La grande bellezza
...but finally..
Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli smells like hint of Mugler Cologne + hint of Carven L'eau Intense on the designer poor base. [I know MC & CLI are designers but juices in them are niche level.
Sweet touch in Wood Neroli reminds me Carven, but L'eau Intense is next level of blend - niche level, with masterclass mixture of: Mint, Grapefruit, Birch, Ginger, Levander, Lemon,Cedar&Ambery Woods, Moss, Cardamom by master Francis Kurkdjian.
Here in Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli splits two different profiles, and that disturbs me. It's like cat with dog's head.
For me unfortunately disappointment, because i was expect after all reviews something more on the Mugler Cologne & Neroli Portofino side. Something more fresher and less sweet.
On the other side, Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli is much better flanker than Bvlgari Wood Essence

VILFI
Reminiscent of Mugler Cologne, maybe not a surprise. But this feels richer and deeper.
This is a zesty citrusy fresh opening. Modern, not unique but very well balanced.
Very well done by Morillas once again. This and Guilty Cologne is rocking it in 2019.
(Will edit for drydown and longevity)

I sprayed the perfume and stay the essence trip in my world. I confess that this perfume open with a long and desalt forest, with much cipreste and tree, the cedro and the green plants around my nose, take me along a infinity trip to Madagascar.
Bvlgari Man Wood remind me a reset and start button of control, i nice guess, because when i stay with my brothers in a farm, this scent remind wood pie and a wood sandwich.
To who like smell of cedro, wood, green vile and ocean in your best side for me, take this perfume and put in a bag of trip, because they do when never say goodbye.

I can not smell leather, cypriol and cedar in this.
This will replace my Mugler Cologne once the bottle is empty.
EDIT: It reminds me Fleur du Mâle, but much higher quality.

jwc001
Woods soon emerged. There was an almost oud-like element to the wood, but hugely tamed, and turned into a creamy-leather / amber sort of vibe: maybe edged with ambergris. The mixture of the citrus against the woody notes is pleasant, and the smell is persistent and hard to ignore. At no stage over the next three hours was I unaware that I was wearing this scent - it was forward and unrelenting. At times almost unsettling, and possibly intrusive.
After three hours, things settled, and it became a skin scent.
Overapplication might make this uncomfortable to wear.
Very sophisticated - wonderful perfume.

SEA Fragrance
You take Mugler Cologne and mix it with Dior Homme Cologne and there you have it.
In the opening the Neroli is very present with this hint of bergamot, but you can quickly detect the Orange Blossom backing up the fragrance. Then the Bergamot and the Orange Blossom will take the lead after 1 hour until the end.
Surely you will get compliments like "you smell nice", but probably not "you smell amazing".
The performance is pretty damn good for a freshy. A solid 6-8 hours, although in the far dry down it can become a little bit "acidic" (like the Mugler Cologne in the end).
Projection is good at least 4 hours.
It's a very polyvalent fragrance. All seasons (because of its performance), almost all occasions, except maybe Club & Party nights. Perfect for the office.
A strong release. Crowd pleaser.
This definitely may end up replacing Mugler Cologne...... and even Dior Homme Cologne.

very citrusy, in fact bergamot dampens the classic smell of neroli and orange blossom making it a different and less soapy fragrance.a clean citrus soapy never smelled before.
the cypriol oil feels only slightly while the other notes are overwhelmed by the magnificent contrast between bergamot, neroli and orange blossom.
maybe a slight white musk on the bottom and a touch of amber but I don't hear other notes. not even woody. in fact I would call it citrus neroli.
