Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2017) by Dior is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women. Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2017) was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Francois Demachy. Top notes are Pink Pepper, Blood Orange, Sweet Orange, Mandarin Orange, Calabrian bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Grasse Rose, Damask Rose and Jasmine Leaf; base notes are Patchouli and Palisander Rosewood.

New Miss Dior Eau de Parfum edition comes out in September 2017, created by Dior perfumer Francois Demachy. The face of advertising campaign is actress Natalie Portman. The fragrance is advertised with slogans like "Miss Dior for love", "Dior for love" and "And what about you? What would you do for love?".

The composition is announced as an elegant floral, with dominant notes of roses, the Damask rose and the May rose from Grasse, to be precise. The rest of the composition consists of a fresh opening of lemon, mandarin and pink pepper and a sensual accord in the base that includes rosewood and patchouli.

It is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

This smells like an Easter basket that holds jelly beans and those marshmallows with candied shells. It's fresh and clean without being soapy. To my nose, the smell doesn't change much over time. The same beautiful smell that emerged after five minutes was still there after 12 hours (but not as strongly). I was going to buy Coco Mademoiselle until I smelled this.

clairesque

I can see why this is so popular. It smells clean, feminine, sophisticated. The scent reminds me of a high-class department store, and I don't mean that in a pejorative way at all. It smells like wealth. Best for daytime wear, works for any occasion, and great for every season except summer.

I don't get much citrus even in the opening, it just smells like a powdery, woody floral to me. I don't have an experienced nose and it's hard for me to pin down the notes in this; Miss Dior feels complex to me. Unfortunately, as it dries down it gets more and more powdery and the patchouli starts coming through, which gives it a mature quality that will probably prevent me from purchasing until I'm older and can embody the fragrance more. This fragrance strongly evokes the image of a wealthy middle-aged woman who has her life together, dresses well, garners respect. I think my best friend's mother may have worn this (or something similar) when I was younger, and that's what informs my opinion of the fragrance? Overall, I really like Miss Dior, I just don't like WEARING it. I may try some of the flankers to see if any of them are more my style at my current age, but Miss Dior EDP does represent who I want to be in the future.

Zombie Apocalypse

I need to give an update on my previous review of this fragrance. I ended up panic buying a small 30ml bottle of this fragrance. at first I wasn't sure if I really liked it, but I tried it again.... and realised this fragrance is not half bad if price is not a significant factor. It does cost quite a bit for a tiny bottle because its Dior. However it can be worn during day or evening especially in cooler months. Its not too heavy or cloying but probably not the best summertime fragrance. No its not the popcorn original, it may not be memorable and its probably not going to be signature scent worthy for most. But what it is, is an all rounder! I guess when I heard its going to be gone soon I wanted a small bottle to remember it. LOL

I don't understand why Dior keeps completely reformulating the pillar fragrances in this line. I very much enjoyed the original Miss Dior Chérie and was under the impression it was very successful commercially, but then they changed it entirely (I have no memory of the 2012 EDP, but I wholeheartedly adore the Le Parfum and Eau Fraiche versions) and what started out as a modern twist on chypre perfumes is now another blandly generic floral.

I got a sample of the current EDP formulation with a purchase and couldn't be more disappointed. It smells just like every other current bestselling high end youthful fragrance in the market - bright citrus opening, thin-as-air rosy heart and crystal clean drydown woods. On my skin, it smells almost exactly like Mon Guerlain EDP, even though they have supposedly very different notes. I would never be able to discern it in a lineup.

It has low projection/sillage and medium longevity on my skin (about 6hrs).

AtelierLicorice

I think pink pepper plus citrus tends to read "generic mall fragrance" to me, so while I enjoy the warm, woody drydown that kicks in after about 4 hours I will probably never buy a full bottle (which is a shame, because it's so pretty). There's very little projection or sillage, but the longevity is impressive—almost 10 hours later, and I can still smell a trace of the rosewood on my skin. For that alone I'd say it's decently priced, provided you enjoy the scent.

CindyLouHoo

This is the most boring perfume I've ever smelled. It's sweet and maybe vaguely floral, definitely a chocolate note, but not good chocolate, milk chocolate from the bargain bin. I don't get any spice. Utterly perplexed as to why any brand would want to put their name on something like this.

essiesfrags

Better than the 2012 in my opinion. This is way more wearable, safer and more pleasant to the nose. The 2012 version is super patchouli heavy and smells like something a older woman would wear. This is younger, smells like roses, lotion and chocolate.
One of the few reformulations i applaud dior on. Thanks for creating something alot of people can enjoy.

supergirl9412

A lot of citrus in the opening, followed by syrupy rose nicely balanced with peppered orange and patchouli. There’s a earthy note, which grounds it. I’m thinking this is from the patchouli, because it’s not a “woody” earthy note. It’s almost a little “flat” or “play-doughy” ... Hmm. A little weird but doesn’t ruin the wear for me.

When sniffing the skin, there’s an unfortunate undercurrent of isopropyl alcohol in the first 1-1.5 hour of wear. That fades, thank goodness, and is really only smellable on the skin and not in the scent bubble. That could be my tester though, which, while fairly new to me, has signs of age.

I’ve been lamenting the discontinuation of Miss Dior Cherie lately, so I decided to give this a try and compare/contrast. Cherie is sweeter, fruitier, richer, stronger, and has a totally different personality than this iteration of MD. If Cherie is a popular extrovert, MD is an elegant and reserved introvert. Still sweet, but more grounded.

Adding to my wishlist!

americanablonde

Sadly, I'm not a fan of this one. I don't get the citrus notes at all for some reason, and instead, smell only a spiciness that I don't happen to enjoy. I found the first spray to be extremely sour, but after it dried down a bit, the fragrance did become a tad sweeter. It's a light scent, so the sillage isn't great, and the longevity was just ok on me. I wish I had more to say, honestly, but this fragrance just isn't it for me.

carlahoffman

To me the first spray was just another pink pepper perfume which I have enough of. This note is dominant and stays that way for a while knocking down any fruity fragrance on my skin. The perfume lays on the skin giving it almost no projection and I prefer a little bolder scent at least one I can get a whiff of. I ended up giving my bottle away about a month of owning it. Just nothing special to me for the price I paid for it . It skipped over the rose scent and went to a soft woody scent that last for about 4 hours then poof it was gone.

jovejove

Some insider information: Say bye bye to the 2017 juice.

emyalda

Have to disagree with the review below me, this has lasted 2 days on my skin and I've showered twice
I can only smell the faint warm spiciness now but when I first sprayed this I was quite impressed.
I didn't get the fresh spicy smell that i expected (like mademoiselle) I got a warm, slightly spicy, slightly floral and almost a chocolatey smell!
I kept smelling the scent wafting around me the whole night and it made me feel very warm, calm and pretty.

Hum_C

I really like this one. It smells very beautiful, elegant and feminine... reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle. Unfortunately, it does not last on my skin for very long, like 3hrs or so which is kind of disappointing for the price tag. I absolutely love the bottle though.

Overall, it's a very nice perfume which is suitable for any season and any occasion.

hnica

Way too sweet for me. Nonetheless, it's among the better ones of its genre. The composition is dominated by the patchouly, the rose remains in the background, and the citrus notes fade quickly in the beginning - too bad, since they would make the fragrance less cloying and sweet. Performance could be better, after 4 hours it became a skin scent.

jovejove

Something is going to happen to the original EDP this fall. What exactly, I don’t know, but shall find out. I found out all the sizes are being discontinued...which could be one of three things I can think of;

1. Juice change
2. Packaging change to modernize the look
3. Changing it to be refillable like Sauvage (packaging change)

Only time will tell what the real change will be.

Enrium

I have a sample of this, and it opens with a very strong sweet note of pink pepper, drying down to a sugary sweet rose. After about two hours, I get caramel with a hint of spice along with the everlasting rose. After several hours, synthetic vanilla - still cloyingly sweet - is all I can detect.

This is not to my taste, being an overly sweet mall girl fragrance. It has a commercial appeal, better than the likes of Flowerbomb or Idole but it is not interesting or anything special.

I would love to compare this to the 2012 version, but I think I'm nostalgic for Chérie circa mid-noughties. Passable. 2/5.

lavender_and_teal013

I am not a rose lover at all, in fact I usually despise it. Here, I get very strong rose with patchouli and a hint of citrus. I don't like it. It smells dated, old, and not me at all. The opening was almost soapy to me with rose, but then it got spicier and more rose-patchouli dominant.

mochiprincess

Smells like roasted sugared/candied almonds, warm and sweet. Takes me back to the carnivals/fairs on those summer nights when things seemed a little more innocent, normal, and care-free. ❤️

TerrCasey

It's a nice perfume, but there's nothing unique or interesting about it. Very casual and simple. Not too floral, not too citrusy and not too musky. Not too much of anything, which makes it very generic. Sillage is okay, longevity below average. I would happily use it if there was nothing else available, but with so many other options, it will be a pass for me.

senorajoselina

I agreed with the “not as good as it used to be”judgments until today. My bottle from 2018
Is now three years old and something magical happened. It’s aged like a fine wine—richer with a rounded out rose. She’s back!

poppyetpear

I blind ordered this one, then I read reviews saying it's not as good as it used to be and I saw the notes and said "what have I done? I got the notes mixed up with a different perfume and these aren't right for me"....BUT, I recieved this today (2018 edp) and it's very nice! I thought I'd have to ship this one back, but it's a keeper! It smells so pretty, almost like the La Vie Este Belle Leclat that I just ordered, without the pissy jasmin note that chokes me up. The opening was very harsh like a man's aftershave, but the dry down is sweet and light with a musky heaviness that holds it down perfectly. Not too floral at all (I'm not a fan of too much floral). The sillage is pretty good too. I'm pleasantly surprised! This will be one of my favorites for sure. I would wear this anytime of year, but I think a lot of people would prefer this in the spring or early fall.

10/10 for me

A Caramel and Jasmine.

deenunnaseehah

I dislike the pink pepper note. What I have is Miss Dior 2017.
I purchased this thinking it was the 2012 version.
If anyone has the 2012 Miss Dior which they wish to swap for this one and pink pepper does well with your skin, please PM or any other perfume from your stash which you could swap for this. We can discuss details in PM.
I’m based in India and I am not looking to ship internationally.

sunny_luv

This smells way better than absolutely blooming. It's very spicy and rich. Very well blended. It is quite heavy though so if you like lighter perfumes you might not want to blind buy this.

ylva

Love this

New favorite of mine (with my beloved Chloe Nomade)
Owned the 2012 version, but prefer the 2017 edition.

mytrueessense

Same experience for me as Hamano_Chaiki. Batch code on what I purchased proved it is the 2017 version.

2017 Miss Dior on my wrist today straight out of the box was all Replica By the Fireplace. I am happy for that. But it is a more feminine BTFP
and more complex. I this Miss Dior has a very spicy heart and could be loved by men as well as women. Much more so than CM. The Mandarin Orange notes come forward early on and I guess mixed with the Patchouli create a warm spice pulse. It grows sweeter before heading to a powdery dry down.

ALC555

This to me is wearable by men. It is similar to Chanel Coco Madmoiselle and Fan di Fendi EdP. I love the three and wear them interchangeably on occassions. It is a great unisex scent. Classification is under the modern light tutti frutti colognes for men. Love them all.

Hamano_Chiaki

I ended up buying this by accident, because by the picture and product description I thought I was ordering the old 2012 version. When I received the fragrance I noticed right away from the package that it's the new version, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I'm a long-term fan of this series since 2005 and have owned almost every single one of the previous versions of Miss Dior (Cherie). So I thought maybe I should educate myself about the newest version as well.

This is so different from the previous versions that it almost makes me laugh - I can imagine the annoy that people have had over this when buying it thinking it would be the 2012 formula. I still own a bottle of Miss Dior Cherie from 2009 (which is 2005 formula), Miss Dior EdT from 2013 and Miss Dior EdP from 2012 (only 7,5 ml tiny bottle though...), and this new one has absolutely nothing in common with those except the name and bottle :D The original Miss Dior Cherie from 2005 smells like strawberries, popcorn and caramel. The Miss Dior EdP and EdT from 2012-13 smell pretty similar to my nose, like orange syrup with patchouli and rose. This newest one to me smells like Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb and Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle had a baby - very intensely sweet rosy scent with loads of patchouli & woods. It doesn't have vanilla listed in the notes, but I'm getting an impression of that as well. I actually quite like it, but I think people should judge this as a completely new fragrance and forget the old versions, or they'll be very dissapointed.

elysian

On my 2nd bottle, so I feel like my opinion about this is pretty well brewed.

To begin with I never liked the 2012 version, there was immediately a “medicinal - orange syrup - men’s cologne from the 90’s - hospital hallways” kick to it, it was too much. Too much patchouli which can be aggressive if not used sparingly. Also, everyone is loving how that version was similar to Coco Mademoiselle. Why is that a good thing? If I wanted Mademoiselle, I would simply buy it. I want an authentic smell, not a version of another decent perfume.
That being said, the 2017 reformulation made me very happy. It’s hard to find a rose perfume that’s not too grandma-ish. This is sweet and girly, however, much softer and more sophisticated than LVEB and the others. The ingredients are very high quality, you can always pin-point all the main notes instead of smelling one big cloud of something.

My description: Candied rose, Turkish delights, red orange soda, playful pepper, a walk in a botanical garden.

Love it for an office job, a date, theatre, a wedding, a holiday celebration. Literally anywhere.
I can go to a grocery store with sweatpants and no makeup but wearing this, and I will still feel classy and put together.

My only problem with this is the longevity. This only lasts 4-5 hours, similar to the EDT version which I do own as well. Besides that, Miss Dior is a gorgeous lady!

Oliviaf11

i did't try this one for the longest time because i was so bitter about the fact that they reformulated miss dior AGAIN (why do they keep doing this?? don't fix what ain't broke) and it's a completely different smell. but i recently got a sample of this from sephora and i was like what the hell, ill give it a go, thinking that i won't like it because i don't typically like mature, rose scents. at first spray all i get are roses, not my thing. but later on it begins to smell really nice. a creamy sweet floral..to my nose it smells very similar to V&R flowerbomb. i like it, very classy and feminine. but I'm still sad they changed it because miss dior cherie was better imo. more original. the new formulation is nice but it smells like other perfumes now and the originality is gone. i don't think i'll buy a bottle because i already own flowerbomb and to me they are too similar.

Essellee

This is a more mature perfume - I get the impression of a woman in her 30's, who has her shit together.

Sillage is low, longevity is moderate on me. I like it, definitely get the rose and the patchouli the most. I won't be purchasing a full bottle of this as I prefer girly scents, maybe I'll revisit it in 10 years.

Lollo

OK, feminine but nothing special about it. Not a wow feeling. Its like when you open your bag of makeup, perfumes, and other nice smelling products and you can smell a mix of good notes. My opinion is that there is a lot of other more interesting perfumes.

gloom

MD 2012 was a beautiful masterpiece
This is very different creamy and fruitchouli type of sweet
But still feminine impressing and luxurious

Me memes

I received a sample of this...so glad I did. The first spray I get Coco M vibes and the dry down is very oriental and spicy. It reminds me of my Korean acupuncturist’s office...it’s almost medicinal and herbal because of the patchouli. I don’t like Coco M and I don’t like Miss Dior.

BetaTuga

I never bought any miss dior (not yet) so I can not say anything about reformulations and flankers, although I believe when some people here say this used to be better . still... Today I went to the perfume store to test some perfumes I had in mind (I ended up testing some more), and this one still stood out among all of the rest. Not only scent wise and quality wises , but also in sillage and longevity. It is a great perfume. I find Christian Dior perfumes to have a sophisticated DNA (unlike channel... my dna and chanel dna certainly don't get along, lol)

Amascent

Ok.... second review for me. I was the biggest fan of the 2012 version, and this is an entirely different perfume. So I'm going to judge this independently of previous reformulations.

This 2017 version is pretty. It's very feminine, a hint of spice. The pepper and citrus is bright and prominent in the opening then settle in to blend beautifully. The citrus is sweet, such a nice blend. The millions of roses with a bit of jasmine are lush and creamy. It's such a creamy floral. The patchouli isn't too strong, it enhances the whole thing and holds it together deepening it ever so slightly. I dont know if it's the rosewood reacting with the lingering pepper, but I swear I get a hint of anise, like star of anise, but maybe that's just me. This is nice. Feminine, soft, creamy, bright, with a hint of spice. Great for daywear, and office hours. I bought a bottle. Not my favorite by any means, but it smells ultra natural, ladylike, sweet, and expensive. I do like it a lot.

Lollo

Good, pepper and flower. Kind of booring though.

Lyndseymarie

I really like this perfume now ! It took me a while to get used to the new version but I love the pink pepper floral scent. It smells pretty and elegant. It could be enhanced by being a little stronger

s2jkbrad

I love this! To me it’s like a sweet, classy patchouli , floral pepper scent. This was a gift from my husband It is complex. It starts out kind of strong with the pepper scent and it dries down to a floral mixed with a soft patchouli. I can see this being a staple in my collection but casual enough to wear to work and sexy enough to wear at night.

sexylegolas

Upon first spray, it's strong, more orangey with a hint of citrus (lemon?) and rose at the background. It has that oldies feeling about the smell (in a good and classy way, but not too crazy). Then after 15-20 mins the roses began to bloom and the dry down was very powdery in a way that reminded me of old times powder back in the end 90s or early 20s (again, not too much, but more in a way that made me reminiscent more of the good ol days when things are simpler, slower... It ended up smelling like home. It made me miss my mom and dad and my grandparents. It made me remember how my dad used to kiss my cheek when I half asleep, how my grandma would smile at me when she watched the little version of me. I expected this perfume to make me feel edgy, sophisticated and flirty, yet "home" is what I get from it. I love it. I'll update sillage and performance once I wore it for a couple of days.

Kots_Tanya

I hated it when I first tried it in the store a while ago but then recently I have been on designer fragrance kick and decided to revisit this one. Oh my am I glad I did, I really love it. Its sweet, powdery but so elegant. I think it very girly and pretty. I purchased 100ml bottle and have been using it especially in the morning, I noticed its my favorite time of the day to use it. It makes me feel so feminine and elegant. I think its a crowd pleaser too, would get a lot of compliments. Longevity is absolutely great. I would pick this over la vie est belle any time.
By the way Im not comparing it to the previous versions because to me its totally different perfume and I love it.

Snowfall84

Rather boring, not the Miss Dior I remember. Not even close. I regret purchasing this version. It is like a watered down version of Mon Guerlain without the lavender and nowhere near as nice. I remember Miss Dior Cherie came out when I was working in a perfume shop and I found it too much. The other Diors, with the exception of Hypnotic Poison, were far too stifling for me. Now years later I find the Miss Dior range rather dull. If only I had done more research before buying this...

KittyDeBeauvoir

I've had to increase my rating, folks.
This is just TOO gorgeous!

With all the varieties of "Miss Dior" out there, I'm a very confused puppy. In saying that, I'm ....almost certain this 2017 version is the one I own.

The initial mandarin orange burst wasn't my favourite to start with, but I'm obsessed now! It evolves to a deep, invigorating blood orange that mingles with sweet orange.

For that gorgeous floral: It's not that deepest-red-of-rose scent here. This is RIDICULOUSLY light and pretty! If you see Grasse or Damask roses, they are (generally) a light pink colour. Comparing visual to smell - is what this perfume prettily emotes. I personally adore sniffing this scent on the back of my hand.

It's romantic, light, rosy, heady, delicate, graceful, whimsical, feminine, and has fairly adequate longevity.
You will smell like a slightly citrusy, very pretty rose.
I love it!

Half a point taken off for Dior heart-deflating price tags.
I'm already half-way through my 30ml bottle which is making my wallet quiver.

Kitty rating: 9.5/10.

Lyndseymarie

I was really disappointed with this perfume. It smells slightly sickly sweet and peppery. The current version does not feel high quality. It is watery and does not last a long time. It is disappointing when the previous versions were so nice and had far better longevity and sillage. I would not purchase this formulation again.

anna1987

I was so disappointed with this reformulation because the 2017 version is so different from the 2012 version which was my favorite fragrance ever.
This version is kind of boring and it lacks uniqueness. It smells sweeter and spicier than the older version but in a bad way, it gives me a poison girl vibe and there‘s too much rose in it. In my opinion the 2012 version was more sexy, more classy & more interesting, less girly. Sometimes they reformulate scents but you still recognize the old scent in it but this time they totally changed the scent & in a way that I don‘t like.

Ambroxer

Sweet and feminine. There’s no better way to sum up Miss Dior. What I want this to be is romantic, free-spirited, glamorous, sweet and feminine. Basically, all the things depicted in the TV commercial. What guy wouldn’t want to go do donuts on the beach with a beautiful woman in a vintage convertible? Beats dinner and a movie! While everyone will get their own mileage over how successfully these traits are translated, I personally go a bit back and forth.

The opening is very fruity and sugary sweet. There’s some rose in the background too, which keeps it away from being cloying. The rose takes more of the foreground as the mid begins, allowing Miss Dior some maturity, but this is still very girly-sweet and bright pink until deep into the dry down. It’s an everyday perfume that could work in a great number of settings. Breezy enough to just smell nice at home, qualified for a professional environment, and romantic enough for a date. From what I have smelled, this could be said of any major women’s designer fragrance in various shades of pink bottles.

Still, there’s nothing wrong with Miss Dior to my nose. Letting it waft in the air makes a space feel more romantic. I know this fragrance gets a lot of criticism from reformulation, and the line itself causes confusion with its many flankers. This guy, however, still finds Miss Dior to be a lady. If only there were a little less of the playful and sweet and more floral allure, Miss Dior is a lady I’d consider putting on a pedestal.

Why Dior, why?!
I am a die hard fan of the 2012 version of Miss Dior ... not a late comer, not those who bashed her then swore to her beauty, no, I loved her since I opened my 2014 Christmas present. I've loved her since the beginning.I love the brightness, the comfort and elegance it offers,I love everything about it.

I do own and love Coco Mademoiselle, regular and Intense, but Miss Dior has a special spot in my heart, It's the perfect balance of citrus, rose, jasmine and patchouli, not too sweet, not too earthy, just round and perfect.
I finished my 2012 100ml bottle and got a 50ml one, and I was content. Then this weekend I spotted a 100ml bottle at a discount site at a good price. The description offered the 2012 notes .... so, I took the plunge, and waited .... it arrived today ....
I opened the box .... took a look at the bottle .... and my heart sank ... pink juice, not that lovely ambery apricot color of my dreams. I sprayed a little on the back of my hand ... and my heart sank a little bit more, it was not her ... no citruses, no roundness, no elegance, no nothing of what I love, just a sweet, sweet rose, very much like LVEB, which I DON'T like, at all.The drydown does not bring much of an improvement, just some powdery rose and not much more. I'll keep the bottle and I will continue trying to love it.

I don't like leaving negative comments, but I needed to share my experience with the 2017 Miss Dior iteration.
I'm disappointed and a little sad, my beloved Miss Dior is gone forever, because Dior likes to reformulate their hits for reasons only known to them.

Why Dior, why?

EDIT
So, I gave it full day wear, and what can I say .... I 'm a sucker for powdery roses. Yes, it starts out very much similar to LVEB .... but then it turns towards Flowerbomb territory, and that I like (taste is a weird thing. A friend and I despise LVEB, but she loves Black Opium and I love Flowerbomb 🤷).
I ended up enjoying it and I think it'll be a nice comforting winter scent. It's nothing like the 2012 version that I love, but it's a lovely scent on its own right.

I tried Fou de Toi by Tory Burch today and its peony/balsam combo didn’t blow me away. Then I added the new Miss Dior et voila. C’est magique, ca. A woodier, lower sugar Miss Dior.

I could truly cry right now...

Today I was at my local Walgreens in a rather dodgy area of town if I may add. I was perusing the cosmetics section when I spotted a slightly dusty 50ml box of Miss Dior Eau de Parfum in the glass casing display. The "perfumery" at Walgreens is typically a collection of dated has been fragrances from yesteryear of which the department store beauty counters no longer carry. You can find olfactory hits from the 80s/90s or take a stroll down memory lane with some god awful concoctions you used to spray on yourself back in high school. Alas, I asked the doe-eyed and clueless yet sweet sales associate if I could take a look at the box of Miss Dior to perhaps decipher a batch code. She eagerly pulled out the box of perfume and handed it to me saying that she believes it had been almost a year since they recieved it and that she has no idea why they would be trying to sell a prestige perfume at that store location which is a rather high crime area. In my head I was already thinking "Could this be my beloved Miss Dior EDP from 2012? Is it even possible? Probably not. They disappeared from the shelves years ago. Don't get your hopes up..."
I eagerly whipped out my phone and searched my trusty batch code website and after squinting my eyes forever trying to accurately read the bloody batch code:

Batch Code: 6Y01
Production Date: 2016

Oh my god... could it be?!?! I was beginning to get really excited because when people refer to the current EDP they typically note the fact that it's the 2017 reformulation. I still could not fathom the possibility that inside this box could be the gorgeous Miss Dior Eau De Parfum 2012 that was cruelly snatched away from us all those years ago. Walgreen's return policy can be hit or miss so I thought worst case scenario I end up with another bottle of Miss Dior EDP 2017 and just eat the cost. I paid approximately $105 and had the salesgirl wrap up the perfume nicely. Being unable to contain my excitement I got home shortly thereafter and carefully opened the box while praying this was the moment I had been hoping for... and there it was. The moment I pulled up the bottle in my hands I could immediately tell by the color of the warm peachy apricot juice that this was Miss Dior EDP 2012. I'm not exaggerating when I say I almost shed a tear. I removed the cap and spritzed my arm and was in absolute heaven. The sensual rose and Italian mandarin followed up by jasmine absolute and patchouli... if you remember Miss Dior 2012 you know the difference without a shadow of a doubt.
I kid you not when I say I have scoured beauty counters and boutiques all over Europe and the Middle East for at least 3 years trying to track down this beauty and here it was at my local Walgreens. Absolutely unbelievable.

I wanted to share this story with all of you 🖤

(P.S) Personally I think the current Miss Dior 2017 is a lovely perfume and I actually own a 100ml bottle. The 2017 rendition emphasizes florals with pronounced notes of rose and rosewood. Whereas Miss Dior 2012 veers into gourmand territory with notes of caramel and a heavier patchouli.

camden-girl

This reminds me of Chanel Chance EDP , it’s a little like it, going the same direction.
But miss Dior is slightly sweeter, less spicy version.
Lots of fruity orange maybe strawberry too ?

This is a nice all rounder, any time of year , any age but I think the younger girls
Will love this most but any age can wear this.
Pretty and inoffensive sweet n juicy goodness
Very likeable.

raiza1990

Rich, sensual, a bit powdery and a bit sweet. Very pleasant and elegant. Similar to Miss Dior Le Parfum, but this one is not so opulent. The patchouli is intense and i usually don’t like patchouli, but here it’s well done. It gives this scent maturity.
I imagine a young, girly woman wearing it. she is feminine and cute, but responsable and down to earth.
Final note: 10/10

I have smelled this & do love it, but I am afraid to buy it now b/c of the watery reviews on here. I mainly wanted to speak to the person that asked about the Roses edition. I have it, & omgooodness is it GORGEOUS! If you have Ulta, they carry it there. I try not to buy at Ulta. They always RIP ppl a new one with their VERY limited "Coupons" & never have the gift w/ purchases they advertise. The employees take them all home. Nice. Ok, so maybe don't buy this at Ulta, just go smell it & try it on in there. ;)
I say we all quit buying it until Dior can help us stop making MISTAKES by buying the one we do NOT want, knowing most of us won't return it!! It's a marketing scheme at this point!

ParisLoveXo

I think I commented a while ago but I will again.
Sharp , elegant , grown woman , sexy and ultra feminine . Can give me lightheaded if I over spray . This lasts FOREVER on my skin . This has become my signature . I bought this perfume by accident I meant to buy I believe it was the miss Dior absolute blooming because my friend had it but instead chose this one and I chose the large 6.7 ounce bottle I believe and it’s been one year and I’m already finishing that one and I have over 50 perfumes .
I love this ♥️

jjoyce2

Candied rose or rose macaroons. This is a sweet rose scent, and really not much more. It is very pleasing though. People sniff around me whenever I have this or Absolutely Blooming on. The only downside to this is that it’s a bit weak considering it’s an edp.

Has Dior reformulated the 2017 EDP?

I have a bottle produced in late 2017 which smells divine and lush. Very rosy, woody and a little vanilla-y. Minimal citrus, only occurs at the opening. Its sillage is moderate, but the longevity is excellent. Most importantly the juice is DEEP BROWNISH ROSE in colour. Scrolling down on here I found that comments made in early 2018 state that the juice was brownish as well.

However last week when I went to the Dior counter and asked to sample their perfumes, to my horror, the Miss Dior EDP smells like a watered down version of its previous glory!! The bottle they have contains juice that is a pale rose orange colour, much like how it is in the ads and the display picture. The new juice now has a much more pronounced citrus note which, when combined with the watered down rose and woods, is a bit headache-inducing. I also noticed that it bears much more resemblance to the Miss Dior EDT 2019.

My guess is, when Dior devised Miss Dior EDT 2019 to replace the 2013 version, they reformulated the already new EDP 2017 as well. This reformulation would probably have rendered most bottles of EDP produced since 2019 to be the current watered-down ones.

P.S. The Dior counter I went to had the full line of perfumes available to sample, including the newest Rose n' Roses. With each perfume they had 1-2 bottles on display. I saw a less than half-full bottle of deep brownish rose Miss Dior EDP lurking in the second row. I don't think even the salesperson was aware of the difference? But since I have owned the 2017 bottle for 2 years now I can tell you with certainty that the current one is very, very watered-down.

Amascent

Nothing like my 2012 bottles that ran out. I wanted to restock, but this is a completely different fragrance and I'm ultra disappointed. It's lighter softer sweeter and more predictable. This is like so many others on the market. Pretty, but not memorable. To me its very generic. Very similar vibes to YSL's Mon Paris, which is pretty, but I wouldn't buy for being unmemorable as well. It's similar to so many other fruity soft light young sweet patchouli's. It's not special, and missing all the magic and unique individuality of the previous formulation.

No doubt this new version is a nice pleasing fragrance and will gain followers in it's own right. However the girl that wore the 2012 version is not the same girl that's wearing this. I think they're 2 different type of women. This should have had it's own name, and separate marketing. Should be different from the Miss Dior many knew, were loyal to, and loved. To me I'm a little turned off by Dior now. They're expecting the name to carry all weight and are expecting people to be stupid and forget what this used to be. It's insulting to their loyal customers, and seems rather deceptive as well.

Bioluv

This is the kind of rose I’ve come to like, I suppose. A sweet, citrusy rose. Very pleasant but to me, it’s nothing new. I haven’t tried the 2012 version so I can’t compare. But so far, really good!
This is btw but the dry down really reminds me of poison girl edp.

Edit: this is actually really beautiful- citrusy, sweet, warm and slightly spicy (in that order). This is well blended; no sharp edges; not too much citrus and for that, I am very grateful. It is elegant but not snobby. A youthful rose, perfect for a young lady or anyone for that matter who’s looking for something bright, classy and yummy. It also lasts a long time on the skin. It’s something I would easily reach for if I want to feel a lil special; it’s not unique by any means but still beautiful nonetheless. This is definitely my ideal rose scent...for now.

lmwimsatt

Had anyone here tried miss dior rose n roses? Amazing! But not listed in the fragrantica

auroramaria

I love this version of MD so sweet and refined a little powdery and rosy ultra feminine and modern. This fragrance got me many compliments and if I did not have many fragrances to use up I would make it my signature

Sreza7

What an amazing modern rose fragrance. To my nose it’s rose, vanilla and patchouli. My scent palette has been slowing favoring rose over the past couple of months. I remember a couple years back I smelled Miss Dior 2012 EDP and I hated it, and gave me a headache. I used to hate anything with rose in it, but now I have really been enjoying rose. As long as there’s a sweetness it in then I like it. Miss Dior EDP is a sweet, woody rose with a slight powdery quality to it. Somewhat “maternal” like our beloved Mon Guerlain. The opening is a sweet citrus. The dry down is a very woody vanilla(even though there’s no vanilla listed, it must be the rosewood + patchouli), so in love with the dry down! Patchouli is not overpowering. I usually don’t like patchouli heavy fragrances like LVEB. This patchouli is very well blended here. This is so luxurious and comforting, cozy and elegant. The longevity is perfect. I put it on my wrist before bed and when I woke up I could still smell it. Ultra feminine, ultra sophisticated. So if you like jammy roses, or if you just like rose. You may want to put your nose in the sensual Miss Dior EDP 2017.

Cassiano

Miss Dior perfume first appeared on February 12 of 1947, when Christian Dior decided to introduce it along with his first fashion show. The name was given when his sister, Catherine, arrived by surprise and Mitzah Bricard, the fashion counselor, said, "See, it's Miss Dior!"
Its success drove the creation of more than 20 variations, serving as the pillar for the launch of new lines and limited editions, such as Miss Dior Chérie, in 2005. However, in 2012, Dior decided to rename the fragrance family, ending the name Chérie and launching a new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum.

In 2017, after reformulation, a new fragrance hit the market, leaving behind a modern-chypre style and bringing a new carnal-chypre, which combines notes of Calabrian bergamot, blood orange, and mandarin (top); Grasse’s rose and Damascus rose (body); Rosewood and pink pepper (base).

On the skin, the new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum brings everything one expects to find in a feminine fragrance: power, seduction, and trail. Bergamot is no longer ubiquitous, as the juiciness comes from the other citrus fruits. The mix of roses gained a different weight as if it were a jam made with the fallen petals and green buds that were discarded during the morning harvest. And the rosewood, from which natural Linalol can be extracted, gives a fruity wood smell, which eventually brings a facet similar to that of patchouli.

Was this reformulation well received? No, for several reasons. People are still confused by so many reformulations, as well as mandatory repackaging with the name change. To make matters worse, comparisons are inevitable and many users have not seen due respect for the DNA of the previous version of 2012.

On the other hand, the public who had no contact with the previous version, nor with the fragrances of the extinct Chérie line, fell in love with this Miss Dior EDP and I understand why. In this creation, it is possible to like roses, without having to feel that literal smell, which reminds us of a walk through a flower garden, for example. In addition, in 2017 the market surrendered to the Ethyl Maltol compound and its sweet nuances, which were explored in various ways and related to the patchouli note. And this version of Miss Dior has some of that sweeter footprint, resulting in a floral-gourmand of fruity opening and spicy drying with excellent projection and high durability.

It wasn't the invention of the wheel, but it wasn't a total shot in the foot either. To me, it was like a risky move by Dior in a chess game, whose board represented the market, and the pieces represented their variables (audience, investment, etc.). Honestly, I don't know if it was checkmate, but that Miss Dior EDP (2017) came close to conquering the Queen, I have no doubt.

Cherrybubble

This is amazing! Not gonna lie, this took a while to win me over but once it did I was hooked. I'm not usually a fan of overly rosy type perfumes but it has been done so well here, the rose smells like a beautiful bouquet and not synthetic at all. The roses are soft and pillowly with a slight sweetness. Top notes are not my fave, a bit too sharp but once it settles down WOW I cant stop smelling myself. Longevity is 6 hours on me and 3 of my work colleagues complimented the scent today, with only 2 squirts of juice. I have definitely been converted and have found a gorgeous scent that I will now cherish ❤

ParisLoveXo

Bought this one by mistake and omg I fell in love . Sharp rose , orange , patchouli and pink pepper and grapefruit all mixed together gives you a beautiful scent . definitely a staple in my collection
Longevity for sure and sillage as well

Littlewhitetruths

Right, so I kept the bottle of my last Miss Dior (which I loved), and sent a photo of it to my Mum so she could buy it for me again duty free - which she did. It's not the same. I'm so angry. Why do this to us, Dior? Makes no sense.

I can smell a little of the original formulation in here but they're very different and this one doesn't work for me. It smells a bit like musky hairspray on me, and it's not a complex perfume. I mostly get lemon, musk and rose, and it's not a fragrance that suits me.

At least it's not awful so I can wear it, but it doesn't make me feel special like the original did. I just want to finish it and move on. It may suit a younger woman who wants something relatively light, because it's not heavy or distinct so I can see how it may appeal to some.

Plus the longevity is reasonable (around six hours), and on me it smells the same no matter how long I've had it on - which could also be a good thing for some because many fragrances smell better (or worse) at different periods during their wear-time. This one's constant.

Not for me.

Judith Esquirba

I never smelled the original formulation so I can’t compare the two. I can only give you my impression of the present formulation, so here we go....This, to my nose, is classy, ladylike, Dior perfection. It starts out with a citrus blast along with May roses, then becomes a rose, Patchouli fragrance. The sillage and longevity are very good but it’s hard to overspray this one. But it’s still one of those fragrances that you are able to get gentles whiffs of all day. Definitely a beautiful perfume that people will compliment you on!

sarrah_92i

I'm very confused, can someone explain to me why in some perfume stores the Miss Dior EDP's liquid in the bottle is pink and in other stores it is orange? Does that mean that the orange liquid is the 2012 version and the pink liquid is the new one (2017)? I own the miss dior EDP with the orange liquid since ocotber 2017 and i repurchased a new bottle (orange liquid) in august 2018 (it has the same smell, mandarine and patchouli, I don't smell any pepper or rose), so i'm wondering if those bottles I own are the 2012 version. And lastly, I went to Sephora a few months ago to smell the miss dior EDP with the pink liquid : it does smell similar, but I fell like it's less stronger and more sweet, so in the end I don't know...

—}—@ darlingbud

Apologies to Ms. Lawrence and the House of Dior, but *this* Miss is JOY. Jammy, spicy, rosy, patch-i JOY.

This reformulation of Miss Dior is Mon Guerlain’s bubbly cousin. But this Miss Dior’s longevity could be better.

Sherine777

Why oh why is Dior confusing us so much?!!!

I found a Miss Dior at a good price and I couldn't figure out, for the life of me, is it 2012 or 2017?

I bought it anyway guessing that it's probably 2017.

Can't they simply come up with different names (or bottles) and spare us the agony?

Edit: I've had it for for a week and I love it!

Honestly, I was hoping for the 2012, Coco Mademoiselle's sister, but instead I got Coco Noir's sweet and flirty young sister!
They are somehow similar to me, but I think Miss Dior out performs Coco Noir, It's rich, thick and long lasting. And there's a huge Vanilla in it that's not listed!

Auragin

I attempted twice to wear this new formulation and both times it made me so nauseous I had to scrub. It's a no for me, definitely. Funny, I haven't had such a strong reaction to a perfume in years. Bad batch, perhaps? Regardless... I will trade it in for something I know I love and can tolerate.

elmccullar

This fragrance is so beautiful on my skin! It's sweet, but also elegant, ladylike and rich. Several other of my perfumes are rose/patchouli combos, so I guess that works for me. Longevity is great and the bottle is just adorable. I feel prissy when I wear this one lol

Nancy83

Feminine, tendre, romantic. I get a lot of oranges and roses, subtlety spiced and fresh, not overly sweet. The patchouli doesn't disturb me here as in some other perfumes, but I wonder if this is the reason why I can't totally fall in love with it. The projection is strong, people can smell me around feet away and I got compliments everytime I wear it, around 3-4 hours the sillage is softer and then after 6-8 hours it's closer to skin. The longevity is nice, it lasts more than 10 hours on me.

I got one sample and a mini, I hope that I will have enough tries to know if it's worth the splurge, because I'm torn. I don't dislike it, far from it, I love its orangeness its soft side, I just don't know if I love it enough. Miss Dior reminds me a lot of Dior Poison Girl EDT, Miss Dior is rosier and less sweet, but they share a lot of smelly notes, that makes me wonder if I would just rather wear Poison Girl EDT instead, since it's a top favorite of mine.

Overall it smells good, some of the notes make me dream (rosewood, blood orange...), this is still my favorite rose centered perfumes right now and I recommend it, but I need to try it more.

Blackmoonlilith

The perfume pyramid in this description is wrong. According to Dior the pyramid is like this:

"Miss Dior Eau de Parfum reveals the femininity of a sensual floral.
The top notes are wrapped in a ribbon of fresh notes of Calabrian Bergamot. Its heart combines the beauty of Grasse Rose with the boldness of Damascus Rose. Base notes of Rosewood and Pink Pepper bring character to the composition."

On me it's sweet, warm, sensual and nutty. I don't smell the patchouli. I like to wear it when the weather is colder and I've got some compliments for it. Someone said I was smelling of chocolate. :-)

Yeah, it smells like you want to eat it! :-)

MaHa80Denmark

First of all I have never tried Miss Dior 2012, so I can’t compare:-)
I love this fragrance! The rose and the rosewood in this is just amazing.
I wear it day and night and all year. Get a lot of compliments from both husband and family/friends.

Scent: 10/10

Sillage: 9/10

Longevity: 10/10 (is still going strong after 8-10 hours. Can still smell a bit the next morning)

Over all: 10/10

Rozan

Dior is the brand that failed me the most. First, they withdrawn Miss Dior Cherie, who was loved by women around the world. And now they completely change the formula Miss Dior and issue under the same name. New Miss Dior should come out as Miss Dior flankers. It's a crime on the client.

Parfümlady

Divine and absolutely stunning!

Once the top notes of pink pepper and citrus pass, this gem settles into straight up rose jam on my skin. The Rosewood gives it an amazing warmth and sweetness that is not sickening or cloying to me.

The lasting power is amazing! on my skin it lasts 8+ hours, hair 12+ hours and on clothes it lasts for DAYS. I had to literally wash a scarf so I could wear another perfume that would've otherwise clashed with Miss Dior.

Also I don't need a lot: 2 sprays on my neck and I am good to go.

Edit: A Co-worker started to wear Miss Dior regularly and I always knew that she's already at work by smelling her perfume in the corridor .. so sillage is also an 10/10 for me!

sensous_5877

Uhh, nice!
I like that it's close to the EDT (2019) - but this EDP is more intense with the powdery-woody notes + more added (vanillic) patchouli.

The more I wear it, the more it reminds me of Poison girl (I got the edp) somehow.

But it's is definitively more luxe, more divine and absolutely more wearable than any of the famous patchouli-fragrances we know, like lveb or flowerbomb (I had them both) imo.

PS: If you think EDP/EDT is too 'strong' and you want your Miss Dior without patchouli, I'd suggest to try the EDT blooming bouquet. [So fresh and beautiful peony with a slight whiff of apricot+peach (but not fruity at all)!]
And if you like it more fruity go for Absolutely Blooming. ;)

Parfuwoman

It has just arrived and yet here I am totally in love with this ❤️
Yesterday it was dark and cold, windy and a little depressing outside but just as I sprayed this on, it invited me into a sunny, carefree Sunday in May. It has a certain luxurious champagne vibe to it. Let me explain it:
An image popped into my head: I have beautiful waves in my hear, wearing nice make-up and a beautiful white cocktail dress. I am sitting outside a nice little cafe sipping champagne served with strawberries. I have all the time in the world , I have nothing to worry about, the sun is warming my cheek and I feel harmony.
Those might be the happiest moments in someone’s life. This fragrance is just easy to wear yet it feels special and it isn’t generic at all. The notes are balanced and in perfect harmony. Every woman who likes dresses ,make-up and stuff like this should have Miss Dior on her dressing table in my (biased) opinion.
It lasts for 8-10 hours and sillage is great.
I usually don’t find anything to my taste from the newest designer releases and I am a huge fan of perfume so I am not easy to impress but this one is a really beautiful perfume.
10/10 for sure.

huda_jubail

I don't like Miss Dior EDP 2012

But this version -MD EDP 2017- is way much better and more unique to me, though I don't like the sweet orange note but it's well blended here.

Miss Dior EDP 2017 is very modern, chic and addictive due to its high quality roses, certainly this version is rejuvenated in a very neat and classy way.

stephdray

This seems, to me, to be a much better and smoother La Vie Est Belle Florale, and I see that it shares quite a few of the same notes.

I distinctly smell vanilla in Miss Dior, though it's not listed. The patchouli is elegantly done here, but still, quite prominent. So much so that it's overwhelming the absolutely beautiful rose and the sun-drenched orange and the delicious rosewood.

Overall, a pleasing fragrance, soft and feminine and well-rounded. And EXTREMELY LONG LASTING. It was all over my clothes (and the sheets) for days.

But that vanilla-patch combo is everywhere in the market these days, and I don't get along with it.

silenceowl

I don’t know really Miss Dior (2012) and other cherie versions.
But Dior’s this version is very nice for me.
This is a real rose fragrance with a powdered vanilla base. Very elegant and softly evolves. It announces its presence without disturbing anyone. I liked it first sniffing and quickly became my signature. I feel very comfortable and happy with it. And most important for me there's nothing disturbing about this scent.
Finally I can say about with it , I love Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2017).

scent of rain shop

عطر خیلی خوبیه هرچند خیلی خاص نیست، فضای مطبوع رزی مرکباتی عطر رو احتمالا کمتر کسی هست که خوشش نیاد.

Very good perfume, although not very specific, lovely rosy-citrus atmosphere.

Lovely123

Disappointment. That's the main word that comes to mind with this newer version of the perfume. Why change a good thing? Miss Dior Cherie 2011 was great, and so was Miss Dior 2012. Why couldn't these be named differently and kept alive? This holds no comparison to those others. Honestly, I wanted to like this, but it smells like strong artificial chemicals. The dry down has a much older perfume scent. It's lost all of its bubbly, confident, and sophisticated charm in my opinion. I've tried smelling this perfume on two different occasions to give it a chance, and both times I had the same reaction. I even sprayed it on my wrist since I know chemistry is an important factor, but after doing so the smell was so nauseating I had to rub it on my jeans so that it would dissipate.

sarrah_92i

I've never been able to smell this new reformulation. And wierdly, last summer when I was in Spain, they were still selling the 2012 version, same here in France. But maybe since then, they have this new version; I wish I could smell it.

Edenrocks

I think a few of the most recent reviewers are reviewing the brand new EDT, rather than the EDP

annubi19

This is a disappointing perfume! Nothing memorable! If it didn't have the name Dior and the fancy packaging I wouldn't give it the time of day! Enough said! Sorry. Just my opinion! Tested it twice and wanted to love it, but couldn't!

tweakly

I believe that the note pyramid on this version is wrong. There is no patchouli listed on either Dior's website nor Sephora's. I fell in love with a sample I got from Sephora a couple weeks ago, a spicy patchouli rose. To the point where I'm ordering several bottles in case it was reformulated yet again. A new 100mL bottle came today, batch code says manufactured December 2018 and it smells very different. This smells more like Absolutely Blooming than the Miss Dior I tried; I even tried a spray of my sample on one arm and my new bottle on the other. The sample is almost masculine and smells fresh yet spicy, the full bottle smells sweeter and more generic. I'm so disappointed that I've fallen head over heels for a discontinued scent. I was so sure that I had been sampling the 2017 version because the notes here included patchouli and pink pepper, but now I believe the listed notes are mistaken. I have a feeling that half of these reviews belong to the 2012 version.

Edit: I've since stocked up on the 2012 version, so my initial shock and disappointment have worn off. This perfume is tangy and juicy; youthful yet classic. A little shampoo-y. I don't get pepper at all, no real spiciness either. Still generic, but pretty and likeable.

If you don't like it then just wait a couple years and we'll get a new version.

JuliaQueen

The (older) EDT is fresher with a stronger orange note. The EDP smells more complex and has a more cosmetic/makeup scent to it, which I love. Both are lovely and last forever. Perfect every day scents.

dahrling

I really don't know what that pyramid or those notes are all about - there's no citrus or spice or wood in this (at least not on my skin). On me, this is simply a very soft rose, powdery with a vanilla undertone that smells completely innocuous (in the best way possible). It's very graceful and delicate and suitable for a princess. It can be worn year-round, and unless if applied with a heavy hand it could never offend. I love it, as I do all the other perfumes in this line - both past and present.

huda_jubail

I really like this scent, it's very similar to (Lancome Hypnose Senses) in its dry down in particular, the sweet-orange note in Miss Dior 2017 along with its rose, pink pepper and patchouli make her resembles Hypnose Senses a lot in her mix of orange-honey, pink pepper, rose and patchouli IMO.

Both scents are balsamic chypre floral.

I have 2 bottles of Lancome Hypnose Senses 75 ml one of them I used half of my (2011 bottle with round cap) and I still have a new full (2014 bottle with square cap) and no reformulation still the same amazing long lasting juice.

So therefore, for me no need to purchase Miss Dior 2017 before finishing my Lancome Hypnose Senses bottles because both scents are almost identical to my nose at least.

samantham-123

I just write my review for the 2012 version before realizing that I in fact have THIS one....Diors reformations are happening so fast it makes my bloody head spin...
I deleted my review because it was on the wrong page obviously, but I did think it was odd that it smells quite like the 2012 Miss Dior Cherie.

I still think there's vanilla in this even if its not listed.
I knew it was too fruity to be the 2012 formulation lol, but it's still not overly sweet or sugary.

The rose and patchoulli is incredibly smooth and well blended.

I bought this by accident lol, the description of the perfume I thought I was buying was for the 2012 Miss dior cherie, I had it when it first came out, I burned through it in less than 2 years; which is something I rarely do but I loved it. A lot of people disliked the intense strawberry note, but I thought it was beautiful.

Then I went to replace it a few years later it was gone without a trace leaving me only with this formula.

The longevity is really great with this though so I will give it that, I put it on last night after a shower and woke up to a soft slightly sweet, musky smell wafting around me and it took me a moment to realise it was this, still going after a good 7 hours.

Ultra feminine is the description I'd use for this, perfect for a sunday brunch or a wedding. It's still quite grown up though; that's the whole Miss dior line, they're girly but mature at the same time.

If you're looking for Miss Dior Cherie but can't find it, this is probably the next best thing, its similar but not quite the same

PS: I forgot to mention my immense stroke of luck when buying this( well, it wouldve been even more lucjy if it was the version i was actually after)
I only paid for one bottle, i double checked the invoice and order confirmation, but they sent me two bottles in two seperate boxes! so at least I know i can spray it like i can afford it LOL

pinkjumpsuit_apparatus

Just bought this a week ago and currently wearing it. Tbh, projection is moderate. Not an offensive fragrance, I could say office safe scent. I wish it would have better projection and sillage considering it is a high end perfume with outrageous price tag. I never really smelled the 2012 version but judging from comments in here, sounds divine to me. I love the perfume, I really do. It doesn’t smell like an old lady perfume though roses are one of the main ingredients in this perfume. Love it but I wish it had something more to offer.

navavive

Was this one reformulated again. Honestly I didn’t care for it when testing and this was in the last year, 2018. However the test strip I have lasted two days and even transferred into the arm of my couch. I didn’t want it to go away, the notes are so lovely, so so lovely. Is there anyone who can validate or correct this. Was this reformulated yet again?

Edit 5.5.19

Got it, love it. Stays on you and just. You know how a fragrance just does something to you and you can’t get it out of your mind. That’s what happened to me with this and I have to say, YES, just YES.

Adamjanovic

Full disclosure: I have never smelled the old version of Miss Dior, so I can't compare this "new" version to it. I can say that I am absolutely in love with this fragrance! When I first spray it, I get that burst of citrus, but that quickly dissipates, thankfully, as I personally don't care for citrusy scents. When it dries down all I can smell is that beautiful, sweet rose. Some high-end scents are too harsh, or either smell too "old ladyish" or too masculine for my liking, but Miss Dior is mature yet still girly and youthful. It's the perfect embodiment of femininity, grace, and sophistication while also being playful and sweet. The only criticism I have is that I wish it lasted longer, it fades a bit quicker than most other high-end perfumes. But overall, Miss Dior is fantastic!

oumaima

I have never owned the original dior so fortunately my review will not be biased towards any version.

I have a sample of this and i don't get where the hating comments are coming from, then again i didn't smell the original so... you never know.

This is a very romantic and classy floral fragrance. The shift from the citrusy opening to the floral and woody accords is smooth and fascinating. It smells luxurious and expensive and would suit many occasions, from the most formal ones to the every day use.

Projection is good so you don't have to overspray. The lasting power is moderate, 6 hours on my skin.

Scent 8/10
Sillage 7.5/10
Staying power 7/10

Personal rating 7.5/10

Gosh, reading these reviews is a little sad, because I LOVE this version of Miss Dior!

For context, I have one of the very first 2012 formulation bottles (it's a batch code for the end of 2011, and it was bought as soon as it appeared in the shops after the removal of MDC), and honestly... I prefer the 2017 version. Rose is my thing so I expected to like this, but I also expected to find it lacking in comparison to the earlier formulations. What I didn't see coming was that I would fall head over heels for it, and use up my sample in three days! On me, it's a jammy/marmalade-y rose with sophisticated patchouli and a little bubbliness from the pink pepper. Great longevity, average sillage, both on par with 2012.

IMO, 2017 is much closer in spirit to MDC than the 2012 formulation ever got. And I fully expect this review to disappear into the ether with the weight of all the thumbs downs it will be getting! ;) But I hope it stays a little while at least, because all the negative reviews almost convinced me not to even bother sampling this. I'm very, very glad that I did.

My previous signature perfume was the 2012 formulation of Miss Dior. My bottle of MD 2012 expired at the end of 2018, and I didn't want to try the 2017 version at all. Every time Dior changes a scent, they make it so different.

I tried it today. It's like a more romantic version of the 2012 Miss Dior; it doesn't have the bite the 2012 one had. It's softer, and smoother. It's like a cool, smooth silk slip.

My partner and I both also appreciate how light it is, too.

I'm in love again ❤

When Miss Dior Chérie was released, I was obsessed with it. I was very young and to me it smelt so expensive, feminine & chic. Everything I wanted to be but couldn’t afford. An unattainable beauty. So, now that I can actually afford such perfumes, this one has dramatically changed as we all know.

Miss Dior (2017) is very beautiful. Yes, it doesn’t have the same charm as Chérie but it is one of my current favourites. I prefer this one to the (2012) version as it was a bit harsh & heavy on the patchouli. This one is softer and blended perfectly. A sweet citrus rosy-floral scent with wood and pink pepper for added spice. Lasts about 10 hours on my skin. The accompanying body lotion is divine too.

It is an absolute scandal how many dislikes this version has. On a positive note; I was very entertained by the melodramatic & very biased reviews!

Give it a chance. Mark my words, this will probably be a ‘masterpiece’ in 10-15 years time;)

I<3Perfume

I actually have the the 2012 and the new 2017 version and I MIX them! Honestly it's divine. The 2012 is more elegant with notes of Mandarin, Jasmine and Patchouli where the 2017 version is more Romantic with notes of Baie Rose, Roses and Rosewood. Both have the underlying DNA of Miss Dior so they end up blending incredibly well. I've always felt the 2012 version was a sister to Coco Mademoiselle while the 2017 version was a sister to Dahlia Divin (same perfumer btw). Honestly if you have them both MIX them! It creates the ultimate Miss Dior that doesn't smell like a sister to anything.

I agree with @cullen62001. Miss Dior Cherie was my entry into big girl perfume world. My boyfriend, now husband bought me my first miss Dior Cherie and he buys me a new bottle everytime a bottle runs out. So I have gone through all the formulations. I have a love hate relationship with all formulations post Miss Cherie. But this one is making me fall in love again. It's a great day scent. I am hoping to finish the 50ml bottle by my birthday so hubby could buy me a 100ml. I don't ask for much..
I have a friend who has been faithfully and solely wearing Miss Dior since 2012 and her whole house smells of it. Freaking beautiful to walk into.

cullen62001

Honestly, there would not be this many dislikes if people weren’t comparing it to the old one. There’s really nothing wrong with this perfume.

Yes, it sucks when your favorite perfume is reformulated. However, if you’re going to do an honest review, you have to put everything else behind.

Therefore, on its own, this perfume can be very lovely. Is it the most original? No, but you can never really go wrong with a rose, patchouli and rosewood combination. That sort of combination is unbeatable. Then, with the underlying notes of citrusy oranges, it just comes perfectly together.

It’s definitely on the sweeter side and I can see the comparisons to Poison Girl, but if you prefer more of a rose scent Miss Dior is probably the way to go for you. I personally prefer Poison Girl EDT because I absolutely love the tonka, vanilla and orange combination and I find it to be a little more on the seductive side. Yet, I’m still debating about buying myself a bottle of Miss Dior because I really enjoy the rose in this one and finding a rose fragrance for me is really hard because I hate when the rose is too literal and you end up smelling like a garden.

So give it a try! Don’t be discouraged from all the dislikes because I truly believe it is because everyone is judging it in comparison to the 2012 version. They loved the old one so much that I don’t really think they’re giving this one a fair chance.

Cozy in the Winter! Who else does "Rosewood"? Rosewood precious jewelry boxes and heirloom chests come to mind. A happy, warm take me away scent. I use it more as a seasonal work scent, not too sensual. Miss Dior 2017 brings happy memories to me and those around. This girlfriend "Miss Dior" is a "house" and not a one night stand?! Different, unusual even "set apart" from the others.

fivezero

I actually like this better than the 2012 version, in which the patchouli really didn't agree with me. The patchouli here is much tamer. The opening of this Miss Dior is not my cup of tea—too brash and sweet and perfume-y with no real direction. When it dried down on my wrist, however—on a very cold evening—it bloomed quite nicely into a warm, candied fruitchouli. A bit generic but it was nice from a distance. If I put my wrist to my nose, it smelled surprisingly dusty and chalky.

Overall, I much prefer Yves Rocher's Mon Evidence, which is a citrus, rose and patchouli scent that feels far cleaner, rosier, and elegant to my nose. The only drawback to the YR is that the patchouli goes a tad sour on my skin (as that note tends to, for me) but the scent's overall effect is lovely. It might have slightly worse sillage and longevity, as well, but the price is great so you can spray with abandon! ;)

As a side note, I don't get the similarity to Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming, at all. Weird.

EDIT: Wow, the one spray of Miss Dior on my wrist lasted just about an entire day on my skin. The sillage was just OK but I'm floored by the longevity.

EDIT 2: OK, so I redeemed points for this. LOL. Not many perfumes last all day on me, and sometimes it's nice to have something versatile and inoffensive that will last a good, long time.

jenniferkuo423

At the risk of sounding cliche--oh how I miss the 2012 version! This new Miss Dior isn't a bad fragrance but it is MUCH more generic, a sweet floral-fruity blend that can't make up its mind whether it wants to be citrusy, or rose-y, or both. There is no clear distinction between any of the notes, and the patchouli is barely detectable so if any patchouli-lovers are looking hopefully at the notes, you may be disappointed. I am not a patchouli fan but that was in my opinion the highlight of the 2012 version. Miss Dior 2017 is pretty, but it is too in-your-face sweet and lacks character.

shusha

I think many reviews here are affected by attachment to the former 'Miss Dior' (2012). I, for one, really loved this (2017-pink version). I stirred clear from most Dior as they usually smell horrible on me being loaded with orange blossom or other ingredients I can't tolerate, so imagine my surprise when I smelled this beauty. It is absolutely beautiful fragrance. It's flirty, sweet, light and distinctly sophisticated. It opens with citrusy sweetness with pepper note contouring it. An hour later it settles for a sweet woody rose with a hint of jasmine, which is delightfully sensuous. The projection is moderate, longevity could be a bit better. I can't afford it right now but will purchase it the first chance I'll get. For me it is worth it. It does smell expensive because it is so well blended and oozes sophistication while being flirty.

Magenta106

A little cloying and sweet, hence the “miss” I guess. It is a little cotton candy/powdery for me. Not exotic or complicated. I love rose and white flowers. I guess oriental floral is my thing and this is not that. The top notes are heady, but the middle and base notes are a little too soft. Dior is my go to, but Pure Poison and Addict EDT are s little more my thing.

shopgirl

Forgetting about the previous iteration of Miss Dior - which I really liked by the way, I have to say that this is like a new perfume. It’s rosy for sure maybe a little lemony, and you what it reminds me of Baby Doll by YSL. The new Miss Dior is pleasant enough and easy to wear, but it’s not memorable enough to me to be a signature scent. It’s also too light and floral to be an autumn/winter scent - probably best saved for spring where it will really shine.

mermaidylady

@chininta, is there a batch code on your bottle? Sounds like you have the 2012 version which had a champagne-ish colored liquid. The current 2017 version has a more vintage-looking rosy brownish-pink juice. I haven't smelled the 2012 version personally, but have read it is more sweet patchouli. The 2017 version (which I own and love) is sweet as well, but more floral. It's very rose-centric, with patchouli and pink pepper in supporting roles.

Miss Dior 2017 EDP is my favorite winter frag for everyday wear. It reminds me of Christmas. <3

chininta

i have the goldish color of miss dior edp just wondering what is the different with the pinkish one ? is is the old version or what? because i just buy it at sephora few weeks ago. for me its nice perfume its sweet delicate and long lasting. i love to spray it just 1- 2 sprays its enough. Its heavy in first spray but After few hour this to be softer and nicer.

Madrona

Overripe fruit, very perfumey, the olfactory equivalent to drinking too damn many sunset-colored drinks on an empty stomach and noticing your stomach turning as you get up to pee, with a hint of the headache that awaits tomorrow. Can't handle it, captain.

rumari47

On initial spray, I hate it. I don’t know what I’m smelling but then two minutes later it starts to smell nicer on me. This is definitely citrusy but not enough to be called “fresh” it still has some sweetness and a tiny bit of spice. As it dries down I get a little rose but it continues to be dominated by citrus notes at least on my skin. I don’t really smell patchouli in this one. Im gonna have to try this in cooler weather to see how this develops. This 100 degree heat does not pair well with this perfume.

I am wearing this today and a coworker keeps telling me how nice I smell and wrote down the name. Longevity and sillage are pretty decent. Six hours into my shift and I feel like it’s still going pretty strong and I only have to be standing next to someone for them to be able to smell my perfume.

I have several bottle of this 2017 version because I THOUGHT I was stocking up on the 2012 version. I just realized a few days ago that I have the wrong version. I bought my bottles October of last year and for some dumb reason didn’t think to check the batch codes. The tester on display was the 2012 version. So be careful! I went to Ulta the other day and they STILL had 2012 MD as the tester but 2017 bottles for sale. I’m extremely bummed with this change. Miss Dior 2017 is a whole new scent with no similarities to my beloved 2012 version.

I do really like this perfume. I won’t let my disappointment in the change cloud my judgment. With so many backup bottles I feel like i have no choice haha. I feel a lot of people are being unfair in their reviews of this perfume because they are angry with Dior’s reformulation. This perfume is totally new you can’t compare it to the old Miss Dior. I’ll update how this scent changes on my skin when weather cools. This perfume is something i think I would enjoy during fall and winter months.

Oh! BTW I personally don’t smell the comparison to MD Absolutely Blooming. That one is super sweet and this one is only a little sweet.

EmmaBelle

Do you like rose? Do you love patchouli? Then this is for you. It's heavy on the rose and mandarin on first spritz, then the patchouli pushes through and stands firmly with the rose. The mandarin balances the two, and keeps the scent from being overwhelming. It's very well done, and really packs a punch. Daytime delight.

scentnut

I thought I had the 2012 version and I kept wondering why so many comparisons to Coco Mademoiselle. Then I read more and realized I must have the 2017 version. I have worn Coco Mad for years so I was actually looking for something different and I'm happy with the 2017 version quite honestly. The patchouli is just perfect, it enriches and anchors the sweetness. The dry down is amazing and the scent just envelopes you. Wearable day or night. I have received so many compliments the handful of times I have worn it. Just beautiful!

Edit: I happened to be in Ulta today where they have both the 2012 and 2017 testers out (which is ridiculous, but I digress). I sprayed the 2012 and agree it is super similar to Coco Mad. For those highly upset about the reformulation you should give CCM a try! Personally I already have CCM so I appreciate the 2017 version. I have worn the latter daily and even with the humidity in the south it still works. I can’t wait to get a bit heavy handed with it when the weather cools off!

bibibling

I have:
Miss Dior Cherie EDP 2005
Miss Dior Cherie EDT 2010
Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet 2007
Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet 2014 (The current one)
Miss Dior EDP 2012

So it's unlikely that I'll be adding more to the pile unless I find a used one at a ridiculous price but MD EDP 2017 has ROSEWOOD in it and I LOOOOOOVE rosewood so I said okay, let me give it another chance. (First few times I bottle-sniffed at Sephora, I just got a fruity feeling and wasn't too happy about it... Really didn't notice rosewood.)

So yesterday at Sephora I sprayed a generous helping on my hand. My sister said it smelled nice, but in that tone like 'I would't wear it but it isn't hideous and I'm just telling you it smells nice so I don't offend you,' you know that tone I'm talking about.

Okay, so, rosewood. So many of my darlings have it:
Sensi
Dune
Tendre Poison
Hypno Poison
Ange ou Demon
Egoiste

If you don't know what it smells like, it smells just what it sounds like: wood with a rosy resinous sweetness.

But apparently that's all Brazilian Rosewood I listed above and this is Palisander Rosewood... I don't know, once I read the words 'rosewood' and went looking for it, my nose DID recognize something somewhat like rosewood, but it was just so fruity so I really can't tell you if this is psychology (like thinking a cloud looks like a mouse because your friend just suggested it) or if Palisander Rosewood just smells nothing like Brazilian Rosewood or if Miss Dior EDP 2017 just did a less than stellar job?

I guess one thing I can say is that to me, rosewood is definitely a winter note, and I tested this on a very hot day, so maybe I'll re-try in the winter and do another review if my opinion changes. (OMG if they don't discontinue this and pop out a new version by then! Don't laugh, they did it with the 2011 Miss Dior Cherie!)

So at this point, my description of MD EDP 2017 would be somewhere between MD EDT 2013 (current? Kon-nos91 you are scaring me!) and MD Absolutely Blooming. Just way too fruity to function with a hint of rosewood... maybe. (No offense to those of you who like it!)

I think if you don't already have any Miss Diors and also you don't have any fruitchoulis in your collection, this might actually be a good pick, (I'd say do consider it over Mon Paris, Poison Girl and the rest from that category, this is still superior!) But coming from the context of the resume I presented to you above, I feel like this has no place in my collection unless the fruit is way toned down and the rosewood is drier and more serious the next time I try it when the weather cools down. There is always more room for rosewood on my shelf, but MD EDP 2017, pull yourself together!

Also, the bottle is literally identical to 2012, it's so annoying, only way to tell the difference is to look at the batchcode on the back (anything that starts with a 7 or 8 is new, with the possibility of some 7's being old???) and then sniff. The fruitiness immediately gives 2017 away, impossible to confuse them!

**Read this if you're a Miss Dior fan-ONLY**

The end of Miss Dior world, yeah, I know that my review won't be understood from everyone who isn't or even wasn't a Miss Dior fan and that it may be deleted after many dislikes but truth hurts, isn't it?

So? What happened with Miss Dior? Ok, reformulated for the 3rd time. Do I miss the older '2012' edition, yes! Can I live without it? Yes...It was a patchouli bomb but a true character, a perfume, a statement even during 00's that this vibe was lost. Francois Demachy is a master, I can't understand why he didn't pay enough attention when he calls it a perfume with love, for love...

They even changed my signature, Miss Dior EDT, I can't believe that the only way to find 'older' bottles is on duty free stores. It's the only edition that reminds a bit the masterpiece made during 2012. For God's sake. I will tell you what Francois did. He found the best selling Miss Dior that is Blooming Bouquet EDT so he made something that could be so addictive and nice as an EDP. I've got copliments wearing the newest edition but honestly guys, sometimes the fruityness of it reminds me a bit of Poison Girl EDT and although it has an amazing dry down that is a pure traditional candy we use to have in Greece for weddings, I feel like my skin sticks with something 'dirty'/floral/blah...

I can't believe I am doing a review expressing bad feelings or hate, take it as you wish but this is unacceptable for a house like Dior. Wake up. Why do you think they made roller pearl editions of 20 ml? Why do you think they made only for Absolutely Blooming, Blooming Bouquet for Miss Dior line and EDT plus Unexpected for Poison Girl? Because they don't have lasting power! And who wants to re-apply a perfume here and then just to enjoy an explossion of something nice that faints down to less than an hour? For sure not me. I am really sorry for writing that much, if I was crazy I should have copy-paste my comment to every 'new' or 'right now' edition of Miss Dior but ok. I am really glad I can finally waste a perfume without caring when I will end up by an empty bottle. So here's what's happening right now.

EDP 2017: Explained above. A floral blah opening with an addictive bergamot exactly like Blooming Bouquet, a touch of jasmine, a pinch of rosie woodness that gives a couture vibe, ending to a slightly vanillic/chocolat-ie gourmand mess that is nice.

EDT: What left to remind to a point of 80% the latest reformulation of EDP. So hard to be described but it used to be a blood orange with a caramelized patchouli and refreshed by turkish rose. A-ma-zing. It does or ir did remind Coco Mademoiselle EDP but in a more warm, less citrusy harsh way. Newest edition smells kind of synthetic, more floral less intense.

Blooming Bouquet: The absolute (EDT) edition we all love for a strange reason. Extremelly fresh, generic floral, but addictive to the moon and back although it's just bergamot, peonies and light rose in a base of white musk. It smells like romance, like an expensive body cream, like you just got of the best hair salon and after 30'...boom...say hello to a skin scent that no one will ever smell except from you. YES, a roller ball edition is needed but not sure it helps.

Absolutely Blooming: Wow, what a copy of Armani Si, less chypre or complex, more like a Victoria's Secret intense berry note with an amazing sillage for a few hours, feminine, too fruity but thank God enough woody and then...ok, buy a rollerball edition just to relive the first hour of it. I had high expectations as it's an EDP and it's characterized by a more romantic edition of Blooming Bouquet. Closer to what I really enjoy in gourmandise perfumes but not even close to how addictive Blooming Bouquet is.

Le parfum: Pure amber, refined patchouli and a bit of rose. Have you noticed that they almost remove it from the line silently? I can only find it in some stores or duty free! I won't analize the original EDT edition (longer bottle, yellow juice as this is a total another story)

EDP 2012: The star of my collection, to help you recognize it, the juice is orangie/champagne-like, the 'new' edition is kind of rosie. So easy to be confused even with Absolutely Blooming if light isn't good and bright enough. What can I say for this perfume? A dirty patchouli, a statement, you feel like you run in nature being carefree, I can smell freedom if that makes sense. The rose is golden, the patchouli is like green, I close my eyes and I see the thorns of roses, I can catch a touch of galbanum, jasmine absolute gives a spicyness, God...I can't describe more. The best chypre ever smelled in my life. And to end with, for all of you who never smelled it or you dare to compare it with the newest edition. Ok, you wouldn't like it at all but HOW CAN YOU COMPARE A PERFUME THAT IT IS MADE OF ABSOLUTES? Orange absolute-rose/jasmine absolute-patchouli absolute when the new one is a party of notes that give a generic result?

Enjoy!

Oh and P.S: I will never buy a Miss Dior bottle again, ever, I am not interested in 'body mists' sold as EDPs in such prices!!! I will store some bottles of 2012 for my own pleasure, try to find what left from my signature before they change it to look closer to the newest edition (go ahaid and compare EDT and now's EDP, if you find any similarities I'll go crazy) and that's it. In a few years another reformulation will come so I sit back and wait for it :)

Shellprincess

Reminds me of Quelques Notes d’Amour Yves Rocher. A sweet, soft and lightly woody Rose scent! Love it!

Soofiya

Finally tried this new version on my skin and sprayed a bit my miss dior 2012 on back of my other hand to compare them
Well there's a slight similarity in that I can detect rose and orangey citruses in both but I don't feel like they necessarily belong to the same family
Call me crazy but Miss Dior 2017 reminds me Poison Girl more than previous miss dior!
2012 version opens with sharp and sweet patchouli and some sweet orangey citruses, sweetness mellows down in a few minutes and then it dries down to a clean musky floral and a tamed patchouli.I can see why some people find it a bit similar to chanel mademoiselle
patchouli is so much lighter in this version that it's almost invisible.also there's no musk here,so rose and orange are more prominent in new miss dior and it's sweetness lasts all through it's life but still it's not too sweet for my taste.I can smell lots of vanilla in new version and I find it very strange that it's not listed among it's notes.this new version doesn't remind me Chanel Mademoiselle even a bit.as mentioned before it reminds me Poison Girl and Miss dior absolutely blooming.Poison Girl is more syrupy sweet, more gourmand thanks to it's almond and caramelized vanilla and it has stronger sillage, still it shares the same orange candy+modern rose+powdery vanilla with Miss Dior 2017.I adore poison girl so I definitely like this one too
All in all it's a beautiful scent.I like this pretty, softly powdered, sweet orangey rose covered by vanilla and subtle woods which stays with me for hours.
I like miss dior 2012 but I don't love it.I don't love this new version either but I like it more than previous one.I can see that my line for new version can grow to love.
I find it highly versatile, modern and classy at the same time,it's not original and groundbreaking but I can't deny how pleasant it is.I've just had a single spray on my hand,it lasted for +7 hours but sillage seemed to be soft to moderate, but it may improve after a full wear
I'm adding miss dior 2017 to my wishlist but I cab buy it only if it's highly discounted or if I find a half used tester bottle as it's unbelievably expensive here.it's even more expensive than Amouage perfumes and other niche ones
اگه کسی ورژن جدید میس دیور رو خریده و مقداری ازش رو استفاده کرده و نمیخوادش و قصد فروشش با تخفیف خوب رو داره،من خریدارم

rabemans

This is a gourmand rose, very sweet, almost like a rose candy with a little bit of citrus on top. I think it's too heavy for my taste and lacks a lot of subtelty. Longevity is really nice though and I like the dry-down after 4 hours, before that, it's a little sickening for my taste (too syrupy, lacks elegance).

The candy rose would appeal to a younger playful crowd.

minnicikim

I purchased a 5 ml sample without any idea how it could turn out. When I got it, at first I smelled the sprayer and thought "Oh, it's like eating Turkish rose lokhum with a hint of citrus." And then I decided to try it. It opened with a peppery bergamot and quickly dried down a citrusy rose lokhum like I thought :)

I don't think it's a romantic perfume, it's more like it tries to be a romantic girl in a very young age. Yeah, it is Miss Dior herself.

Now I have Miss Dior edp on me and I feel like I'm eating a tangerine lokhum and a rose lokhum between the biscuits at the same time :D

After 6 hours, this perfume has some Bois d’Argent notes

Christycaxxx

I believe I’ve reviewed the wrong Miss Dior EDP by mistake (I wrote for the 2012 formulation) and I’ve decided to write a new review rather than copy and paste.

I really like this perfume but not my favourite of the Miss Dior range (Blooming Bouquet is my favourite). A lovely fresh floral scent with rose and patchouli notes dominating the scent on my skin and the citrus notes breaking though softly in the dry down. Longevity not that great with 5 hours max and sillage moderate but I must admit I don’t use this much but nevertheless a keeper.

Blossom Dreams

I have smelled this before in stores, but it never really grabbed me as anything special until today for some weird reason I fell in love with it. I sniffed the bottle, and instantly thought of Christmas. I decided then and there that this is what I want to wear this coming Christmas. Since I've got home though and kept smelling the test card, I think I have to get some tomorrow! I have never smelled the 2012 version, but this one is just divine. It's sweet, warm, spicy, peppery. When guys talk about women smelling so good, I've often wondered which fragrances would make them say that ... this has to be one of those scents. This fragrance is both elegant and sexy at the same time. It feels perfect for a prom/wedding, but it also feels perfect for a late night booty call with a sizzling hot guy. I think it would be a bit heavy and rich for office wear though.

EDIT: Reading other reviews, there are a lot of annoyed customers at all the re-re-reformulations. I can sympathize. Some people like to have a signature scent they wear for years. It would be annoying not to be able to rely on that scent being available in the future. CD should listen to their customers.

meow78

I don’t enjoy the pink pepper, but it’s quickly replaced by a sweet, watery rose and rosewood base. I liked my sample enough to use it up, but ultimately settled on Poison Girl for the same rose with an almond base. (Absolutely Blooming was beautiful, but a little sharp on my skin.) Not similar to Coco Mlle, despite the Sephora SA’s suggestion.

MademoiselleMaya

Sorry, but to me this is an abomination !
The many versions of Miss Dior were all being stripped down with every release, making them simpler and simpler (still nice though, likeable but lacking depth with time) but this one does not even smell like Miss Dior, so much pepper it's dry and just plain upleasant. Uh.
Maybe on another day it will bloom but this was a scrubber for me.

I also do not understand how more pepper and less depth and more chem lab particles can be more youthful for some, but I'll wait and maybe one day I will find it less irritating.

christobellious

I bought Miss Dior Cherie in 2007 and loved it. Since then and after a ridiculous number of versions later, I think I have found something I like almost as much (but not quite). It's a great formulation and stronger than say, Blooming Bouquet, which dissipates from my skin almost as soon as it is sprayed. It's also not as cloying and sickening as Absolutely Blooming, which is great but still doesn't last as long as it could.

beatrix75

I have the old one to 2012 goldis color and this beautiful new one pinkish color and my opinion it's that this new it's my love really enjoyed it's feminine sweet creamy and gorgeous. Besides I I'm in love with absolut blooming to both are very beautiful

yzzilyzzid

So, let me start by saying I haven't tried any of the 500 previous Miss Diors (I know, I know!). Yes, been living under a rock here.

I received a sample with something I bought last week, and at first spray, I was pleasantly surprised at the bite of peppery spiciness! Quickly, she turns quite woody, and settles into an ambery vanilla.

Sillage is moderate. Longevity on me is monstrous: when I first tested, I sprayed on my inner elbow in the evening, and I could still smell whiffs in the morning after I woke up.

I really like this. When I get to the end of my sample, if I still feel the same, I'm definitely getting a full bottle.

UPDATE: This Miss Dior sure has grown on me each time I wore it. I've wrested the last spritz out of the sample, so off I go to buy a full bottle.

mesha2sweet

@prettyswag I understand what you're saying, however, at Ulta they still have the 2012 version as the tester. But when I got into my truck, it wasn't until I opened the box & saw that it was different. Different color & smell. I was like hmmm. I sprayed it on & liked it better than the one that I thought that I was purchasing. And the SA's are not very knowledgeable when it comes to reforms lol. They feel like if it has that name & strength then its the same.

socorrosouza

Independent of colour, it is so easy to distinguish Miss Dior 2017 from 2012. 2012 is the one that absolutely resembles Coco Mad: citruses, patchouli with a hint of flowers, especially jasmine.2017 is much sweeter a bit like Absolutely Blooming but with lower longevity (5/6 hours vs 7/8 for Abs.Blooming), much less citruses and patchouli, more red pepper and a bit of roses.

prettyswag

ALL ladies to sum up the confusion between the 2012 version VS 2017 version is THE COLOR OF THE JUICE.....2012 IS MORE GOLDEN JUICE TONE....2017 IS WARM PINK....VERY SIMPLE.

FireFlySF

To Minty Mouth: you are right! After you helped me out with the batch code to identify which version is which, I tested Miss Dior again and realized that my review was for the wrong version. Although the 2017 still smells good on me, I can see what is "missing" and "different", compared to the old formula.

The best way to avoid confusion is to double check the batch code before buying, and it does not matter either at Macy's or Sephora..., as the old bottles can still be displayed with the new ones on the shelf. You may test one version, but end up buying the other by mistake, due to bottles got mixed up. And many sale associates do not even know, if they are not trained or informed by the perfume rep specialist.

I did some experiment at home by layering the 2017 version with Prada La Femme EDP. The result was great. Check it out, in case you guys wanna "reminisce" or "recreate" the 2012 scent. Have fun :)

maria.rodríguez.cruz

It doesn't smell anything like Coco Mademoiselle or the intense version. The older Miss Dior shared similarities, yes.

mesha2sweet

I agree with you @Minty Mouth... 2012 version smells verrrrry similar to Coco Mad. 2017 version (that I LOVE) smells nothing like it AT ALL.

Minty Mouth

FireFlySF it sounds to me like you're describing the 2012 version. The minty patchouli you describe IMO is totally absent in the 2017 version. The 2017 also smells nothing like Coco Mad, whereas the 2012 is very noticeably similar to it.

FireFlySF

The four notes from this one that stood out the most on me are rose, patchouli, citrus/orange and a hint of jasmine. I spray tested it at Sephora and on my way out, 2 of the sale staffs nicely stopped me and asked which fragrance that I just tested, as they sniffed a trail of something "INCREDIBLY good from me" when I walked pass them. When I told them it was Miss Dior EDP, they seemed a little surprised but still professionally complimented me on the fragrance. When I was by the door and far away from them already, I overheard them privately whispering with each other:"Wow, it smelled differently and really good on her...".

The scent is florally fresh, youthful and classy at the same time. I smelled soft rose, soft jasmine, fresh orange and minty patchouli with a gentle warm wood. Pink pepper was just right, balanced enough to give the composition a little "kick" or "lift".

I can also see some similarities between this one and Chanel CoCo Mad, from sniffing from the bottle sprayer only. But on my skin, Miss Dior performed differently in the dry down with more "warmth and softness" than CoCo Mad (somebody in here already pointed out). However, this fragrance DOES work very well with my chemistry.

I also tested the EDT and I liked it too. Of course, it did not last as long as the EDP, and they both smelled very differently, as if they were not related (just like many other different EDTs in general, this EDT version smelled fresh with the citrus/green notes). I have a strong feeling that Miss Dior EDT has close similarities to Miss Dior EDP 2012 version that many Miss Dior's fans have missed.

I have no idea what the version 2012 EDP actually smells like, nor should I care to find out, as it was already "gone", but more importantly, I LIKE what are in this newest version that I got introduced to NOW, as it worked out beautifully in my favor! Don't take me wrong, if I stumble upon the old version 2012, I would DEFINITELY try it :)

Klmn00

This reminds expensive floral shampoo or soap. It's very lovely. That's the proper word to describe it. There's delicacy about it without anything rude, but people around you will notice it. Miss Dior smells like rich girl who has no problems and never sweats lol.
Blooming Bouquet flanker gets all possible accolades but Miss Dior original has more interesting composition.

After wearing it for one hour I caught hint of something familiar, I even thought of Angel. There's nice sexy patchouli note in the base. I think you would love this perfume if you like Valentino Donna or Mon Guerlain. There's same accord going through all these compositions.

ClEL

It's an attempt to please younger clients like myself. For me, it failed. With this new version you can find dupes for 30$... Cherie is still my favorite.

latafan

Recently got a tester of this when purchasing another perfume and finally found the time to test drive it.

On first spritz and for a good 15 seconds I get mostly freshly cut lime and lemon with a clear not of pink pepper tickling my nose. There is a humble soft underlying creamy sweetness too.

After about half an hour the pepper got a bit tamer and it starts shifting between soft rose and fresh oranges while that soft sweetness remains.

About three hours in i finally get some powdery wood notes and still quite some orange. The rose at this point just pops in front for me every now and then. It's so timid it's almost as if it's shyly lifting its hand once in a while asking 'May I say something too?'

So would I buy a full bottle of this perfume. Nope, sorry but nope. I am not saying it is bad. Not at all. But except for the first half hour the rest of the time all the interesting notes are so quiet and humble while the citrus notes are prancing around proudly saying 'Look at me, I made it into a Dior bottle'.

The thing is, you get very similar kind of scents time and again at medium price range perfumes of apparel brands (Lacoste, Benetton, you name it).
It's the kind of scent I'd wear on days where I want to smell fresh and nice but wouldn't want to 'waste' my 'good' perfumes.
I must say at this price point and all things considered it's so uninteresting to me I didn't even care to check out the longevity before applying something else over it.

So for me it's a pass.

HOWEVER it is indeed a very pleasant inoffensive young everyday fresh kind of scent. You could gift this to a 40 year old just as well as to a 15 year old. It would fit in office, as well as for strolling in a light summer dress around downtown or going for a date.

So if you're not really adventurous about perfumes with lots of 'character' and just want to smell feminine, fresh and romantic, and also enjoy having a nicely designed bottle of Dior on your vanity, this might be just the thing for you.

I don't feel you can go very wrong with this, but it's not the kind of scent you'll remember and identify anywhere even after decades.

G.I. JANE

@rockstarrshade I never thought of it that way! It makes total sense that Miss Dior should always be modern, hence the countless reformulations. But it's kind of crazy how "the modern woman" has changed so much from 2012 to 2017... because those two reformulations are like night and day. This is my second review. I just want to say that I still like the 2017 version much better because it's less offensive and a HUGE crowd-pleaser.
GUYS, I have never gotten so many compliments in my life, and I mean, I am a fragrance connoisseur! This means that I wear different fragrances every single day. People smell me all the time, and yet, EVERYBODY likes THIS. I am speechless. Perhaps it's because it is a "typical" sweet floral. It's rosy, sweet, citrusy in the beginning (blood oranges stand out for me), and it has that sweet patchouli drydown that I love so much. She lasts FOREVER on your clothing. The sillage is better that way. I think that's why I get so many compliments. People can smell it on my clothes. Men will like it. Your friends that are girls will like it. It's definitely youthful. Ideal for 20s-30s. And that is a true testament to the tradition of Miss Dior. Natalie Portman in the advertising exudes this perfectly: youthful, modern, carefree.

tienalbertine

Can't say I love or even like this scent. I completely agree with Maria Rodriquez, to me it is the kind of smell I call cheap. I have Edge from Swiss Arabian, also rose and patchouli, but much more mature and agreable.

KitKat

I know this is not gonna be favored by the fans of the old Miss Dior (or miss dior cherie). It is definitely different, younger... more fun and less serious. For some reason, none of the old Miss Diors worked on me. This one is beautiful and I enjoy wearing it.

shannonwheeler05

My initial response to this reform was not favorable. It struck me as not having any nuance. The 2012 is a favorite of mine for any occasion, and this one seemed too sweet and too common. However, I tested it a few more times and ended up getting a large bottle this week, because actually, I do love it! I think the 2012 is by far more sophisticated and elegant. The 2017, once I stopped comparing it to the 2012, I came to quite love on its own. It’s a fun fragrance. The pink pepper and juicy rose are happy and girly and quite lovely. It’s very sweet, which I didn’t like at first, but now in the spring weather, it’s just right. I think it’s a fragrance to try a few times and to really make a point not to compare to previous versions but to consider on its own merit.

rockstarrshade

im a collector of miss dior perfumes and i have to say that this one is gorgeous although i love them all (but absolutely blooming is little bit too sweet for me) at first i was pretty lucky to get this fragrance only for 55€ for 50ml which is actually best price on market in perfume stores it cost about 80€ for 30ml.

everybody is wondering "Why is Dior still reformulating this perfume?" Its very easy friends: BECAUSE MISS DIOR ALWAYS HAS TO BE MODERN YOUNG WOMAN. that means that what was trendy in 1947 cant be trendy now. gosh! or do you think that young girls would like to smell like a church lady? (MD Cherie was trendy when sweet perfumes became as trendy in that time) now 2012 version of perfume is best choice for grown women but trust me little ladies dont like this smell that much. they would prefe Chloe to it. Fragrances goes with time so there are still new trends in fragrances. They dont make versions like "miss dior eau de bergamot" or "miss dior eau de rosy wood" (im kidding with names) because MISS has to be always nowdays Miss. And they still kept that oldest smell with galbanium in miss dior originale in memory of inspiring person sister of Christian Dior who survived concentration camp. please dont judge this perfume by other brand decisions like Chanel... if you are over 40 and you dont like this perfume please remind yourself that maybe you are not miss anymore....

but back to perfume. Its so strong rosey and pepperish scent so charming and warmth for every day wearing but perfectly in spring time. It remind me a easter a lot. Reborn of new life. Highly recommemd this perfume for ladies that feel overpowered and sophisticated this scent will give you more energy its not perfume for goodnight like black opium

senteur

This version is awful, too much rose, too much pepper. I'm so sad the previous version was discontinued.

Belleblue

Juicy , delicious , kinda sexy but not over the top. I am not a fan of comparing to previous editions of fragrance, nor of bemoaning the fact that things change..so let me just say this is a lovely scent, its got good staying power,it should not offend if you keep it to 3 sprays and the bottle is a beautiful as well, there are enough floral notes to satisfy and then warm carmel undertones come thru, I am not sure if I will wear this into the summer , it may suprise me . This is a very well composed scent , try and enjoy!

karen.fiallos

I truly don't understand the bad critics on this perfume. To me Miss Dior 2017 smells incredible. It is more authentic than the previous version and more sofisticated, when I smelled the previous Miss Dior I was kind of disappointed, it was some kind of patchouli little sister of Coco Mademoiselle. The trend was patchouli at the time so I understood the fuzz back then but to me it smelled like a perfume a 18 year old girl could perfectly wear instead of Coco Mademoiselle. The new Miss Dior on the other hand starts citrusy fresh but not much later the roses start to appear with a powdery peppery feeling. If you like powdery and sweet this you will love. At the dry down is such a pleasent fragrance. Perfect to wear on all occasions, if it screams love? I don't know about that, I suppose it can be a little "vanilla" type of romantic, but not extremely sexy.
I purchased a big bottle at the airport tax-free and it is very nice to wear to the office or a casual dinner. I am a fan mostly because of its authenticity, it is not quite like any other perfume I have smelled before and I think it will get soon pretty caracteristic. To me is a sweet/rose/citrusy/powdery perfume. If you enjoy LVEB intense, Mon Guerlain and Hypnotic poison you will like miss Dior 2017. Just give it ten minutes after you have sprayed it like I did it may change your mind... you tell me what you think.

maria.rodríguez.cruz

Why did this reformulation have to happen? Just why?!?! It smells cheap and bad. Nothing more to say...

mesha2sweet

@janedelamare
That is soo strange! Hmmm maybe you have a hybrid 2012/2017 formulation lolololol.

Larsfenn

Janedelamare- your bottle seems to have been produced in February 2016. I have a bottle here that was produced 8 months later in October 2016 and it's the older 2012 version. That's a strange one.

janedelamare

mesha2sweet - it is not brown, not amber colored, but it is a brown pink. that's not very helpful, is it. it looks like the picture but it also looks like the pic from 2012.

my guess is they made it in 2016 and had it ready before they trotted it out for market. the notes match the 2017 version.

thanks!

Edit: I was reading the reviews from the 2012 version and some of them are matching my experience of the perfume, which may be transitional, which might be why I'm so confused right now

janedelamare

I am the high school teacher who was posting I was admiring the young ladies' perfumes in class. I kept admiring the fruity smells and wanted something new and modern.

This started a journey that led me to mon guerlain, miss Dior absolutely blooming, and Chanel Eau premiere, my new favorites.

well anyway, I did a few blind buys early in this journey and this was a blind buy from Walgreens. I was disappointed when I opened the box to find that it was yet another fruitchouli, thr fourth one I now had, common, boring, I threw it in the back of the closet with disappointment. I forgot about it until now.

it's a under a year later, and I pulled it out and blew off the hurricane Harvey construction plaster dust off of it and gave it a try.

I'm in the bathtub with it now and I smell first peppercorn, second rose, 3rd bergamot and I hardly smell patchouli at all. Since I like soliflor Rose perfumes, I absolutely adore this and I'm sorry that I misjudged the perfume at first.

I use the word adore too much in these reviews, so I will change it to- I really like this perfume!

I'm curious now about the Miss Dior 2012 and I'm on eBay trying to find one

edit: i am sooo confused - why is my bottle dated 2016? 6P01 help? didn't come out until 2017?

lmwimsatt

There is definitely an unlisted note in here and whatever that is there's a lot of it. It's almost a somewhat powdery medicinal smell. I like it, it's interesting, I just can't identify it. But this obviously isn't just some citrus, pepper, rose, jasmine, patcholi, and woods

acdc_bigballs

I feel like I’m about to cry! I have been wearing Miss Dior Eau De Parfum for a few years now and I loved it. My husband and children bought it for me as a Mother’s Day gift as the bottle I had from Christmas 2016 had run out. I opened it up as I was so chuffed and couldn’t wait to use it but when I got to the bottle I noticed the difference in the colour, I opened the lid to smell it and I though he had bought the wrong one. When I called the store they told me that Dior had “tweaked” the fragrance and I would not be able to purchase that one or even exchange this new one. It’s awful!!! I hate it!!! I now have a £70 bottle of icky sweetness lying in my bedroom that will never be used! I am devastated! Tweaked?! They destroyed it! Every time I walked into a shop, restaurant, work, friends houses I got a compliment on how beautiful the fragrance was, I loved it and now we’re left with this run of the mill sweet scent that smells no better than Britney Spears perfume!
Dior need to get their act together and change it back! Way to many fragrances just the same as this! They have messed up big time! Won’t be buying it again!

mesha2sweet

Mmmmmm.... I love this new fragrance! So mildly sweet, so classy, so sophisticated, so warm, & oh so comforting. All this hate is what peeked my interest. I sprayed this on the bend of my arm and on the top of my hand, waited to see if she was going to take me for a ride, & she did. This my friends is not generic. It's a quality fragrance. It starts off with a rosey orange spice punch that blew me away, so I put on my seat belt. Then before you get too comfortable, it changes to sweet roses with a smidgen of spice. An hour later its a jammy rose. Yes Lord!!! An hour later it's a creamy rose. I'm not very familiar with Rosewood but dammit I think I love it. The dry down IS TO DIE FOR!!!!

Longevity 6+ hours on my skin.
Sillage is quite impressive.
My only regret is that I only purchased the 1 oz. bottle.

Edit 3/8/2018- This fragrance is office appropriate. Just the right amount of everything. Not too loud, but not bashful. I have gotten so many compliments on this fragrance. "Oooooo what is that?", "Sniff sniff sniff, you smell gooood", "Wow its soft, but I can smell it when you move around", " I like this one Mesha", "Mmm you have on the one that I like again". WINNER!

genny17

First it would be nice to read a review without swear words, just nicer..
Anyhow, I love this perfume, it is bold and a compliment getter...it has a certain warmth and a slight sweet vibe, but nothing overdone here, the florals blend in nicely with a warmer base, it is so harmonious, feminine, and bewitching almost..whereas the previous version was heavy, this one isnt...I do find this version better than the previous ones, now only a matter of taste ..now Dior like many brands has decided to reformulated some of their fragrances, I see nothing wrong with that, they understand the market after all..there are only so many types of smells out there, how innovative should perfume brands be !? As long as they smell pretty, I don't care about innovation.

Helbo

After the first spray my reaction was F####! Another gag inducing candy sweet fragrance joining the bandwagon. I was about to invoke the ghost of Christian Dior to bring down vengeance on anyone inflicting these dumbed down fragrances on us. Then I either lost 100 IQ points (very possible) or the middle and base notes picked up their game. I am unexpectedly charmed. It's still too sweet and generic for me to love it, but I'm going to have some fun overlaying it with 4711 Acqua Colonia Pink Pepper and Mandarin to cut through the gourmandiness or Yardley's English Roses (contemporary edition) for the tea effect. Best rose fragrance on the market IMO - I know I keep saying this ad nauseum. And yes, those combos with the 2017 Miss Dior EDP will probably blast the doors from the house.

I agree with iamoir's review that this isn't a floral chypre, but more a floral woodsy fragrance. I'd have been royally peed off if I'd bought it based on the fact it was a chypre.

So, not terrible, but disappointing. When is Dior going to become innovative again?

SniffinBloomingBubbleLand

As real fresh moist living flowers, when it's as its best. Lovely.
Invisible real flowers surrounded me for a moment in the city center.

After 2 hours almost all of the scent has faded, in my own nose, but the vestibule is scented in a feminine, nice way, still after several hours, because my coat touched the perfume.

Some of the 4 testings felt worse a bit, because of older sample & hotter time of the year.
Difference between the samples of the same perfume was sadly big.

stephanieklein

So unremarkable, except for the headache. Smells generic and ends up very cool, not warm and feminine but aloof and easily forgotten. Like the makeup floor in Macy's.

jenna.kal

I’m excited to leave my review since just testing this one hour ago! I honestly didn’t think I’d like this because I love sweet perfumes but this is sweet! I had my heart set on Dior absolutely blooming so I sampled both on my skin one on each wrist and assumed I’d pick AB but guess what lol I was so wrong! There is a cloying feel to AB and I thought I loved it but the second time trying it out I may pass and pick miss Dior! It’s softer and sweet but not cloying and I actually like it a lot to my surprise! I wish it came in the roller pearl cuz I wanted that so bad but for some reason I guess the original is too good lol so I may but the one ounce for 75$ ouch lol but it is Dior and that silver bow is just too luxe to pass up lol and I actually think it smells like a toned down poison girl slightly , I’m in between on which I want

debbiestar

well...this is my third review!
what to say? At first I liked it, then I started to love it and now it's become my signature...unique to me and that's all that matters.
I know, I shouldn't get too attached to it, just in case...

a.iioana

The 2012 version is creamier, this one is sharp and sweeter. Aside from that, the dry down is similar. You just have to give it a fair shot. I do have to admit, though, I prefer the 2012 version. Not a smart move from the house.

MeliMon92

Extremely sweet with citrus in the opening. It's warm, yet cool at the same time, it's odd to explain. I really like it, and I think it can be worn both in Fall and in Spring. It kind of has a classic touch to it; something timeless. This is a keeper and glad I decided to take the leap and get it!

Deanie

I found this sickly sweet for the first half hour, after which it was just a big bouquet of roses, which was not unpleasant, but was still too sweet for me. Definitely a younger, pink and girly vibe. I do like the smell of roses, but this was just too much. I couldn’t detect any other notes because the rose sweetness was so overwhelming to my nose. I wouldn’t say it was bad though, just not for me.

jessicva921

oops ! forgot to log in

Decided to delete my previous review after smelling this another time,
this smells delicate, sweet, young yet mature. I definitely don't believe this deserves such harsh reviews.

I love it.

anikomarton

This is a sheer delight ! I love, I love this fragrance with its delicate freshness and sweetness at the same time !
Generally I don't like parfums with pronounced rose notes, but in this one blood, sweet and mandarine orange (which are my favourite citrus notes) bring the necessary sweetness to soften the sharpness of rose notes and it gives a gorgeous association.
In addition, it has a very good longevity, any disappointment in the scent even after many hours.

aura_therapy

I love the bottle design and the allure of it being a classic and a Dior and all that. I sprayed it on my arm at Ulta and you know that movie scene where Samuel L. Jackson goes off on being tired of so many effing snakes on the plane, well I wanted to snap and scream that I’m tired of so many effing sweet perfumes. It doesn’t need to be this way perfume makers! A little more variety would be nice. It is the equivalent of every restaurant I go to only offering dessert. Enough already! This is nothing like an older sample I got on eBay. And I don’t even have the time or energy anymore to go start tracking down what year it was from, blah, blah, blah.

Calvini

This generic sickly sweet floral is THE BEST OF THEM ALL! Honestly I was tired of the trend and had stopped paying attention to commercial fragrances in general, but then I started looking into sweet creamy/powdery rose again and ended up here @[email protected]
I've compared it to big shots like Amouage (Blossom Love), Armani Privé (Rose d'Arabie), and the ever so popular Delina by Parfums de Marly! Of course this isn't at their level, but there is something niche and addicting about this particular release and costs about 1/3! Put it on the skin (only one spray) and let it shine; give it a chance, as I've also compared this to MANY popular sweet feminine perfumes yet none has the same effect.

cccmrc2

This 2017 reformulation is very very different to its predecessor. It's VERY sweet, leaning more towards 'si' or 'flowerbomb' than the previous version. It used to be a beautiful, instantly recognisable warm rose, now it's generic. It's not unpleasant but certainly extremely different.

DaisyChain90

I’m actually pleasantly surprised by this, I personally really enjoy it. It is much softer than the last reformulated version but this suits me much better. Love the floral fruity smell. Worth trying on the skin. Soooooo incredibly different to the last one.

Cwoods0890

This smells like if black opium and la vie est belle had a baby. There's just a touch of la vie est belle and it smells almost exactly like black opium if you took out the coffee note. I quite like it. While it may not be in the same family as its predecessors, it's still a nice scent. I hate the scent of la vie est belle but the trace is so small in the new miss dior that it doesn't taint it for me.

shannonwheeler05

This is not a keeper for me. The pepper is very big at the opening, and the dry down leaves what my 9 yr old describes as “sugar water.” It’s not awful, but I don’t care for it personally, and I find it very much a backward step from the Miss Dior 2012 which I thankfully have a big bottle of. I haven’t tried the earlier than 2012 formula and can’t speak to that. The 2017 is very basic to me. I don’t think it remotely compares to the 2012, and I feel it’s not very original. It’s not a BAD fragrance but it just shouldn’t have replaced 2012- the vibe is nowhere near the same.

WonderGirl98

To me this smells almost identical to the 2012 version, just a bit softer and sweeter. I hate the 2012 version, it reminds me a lot of Coco Mademoiselle, the one and only fragrance that I totally can't stand because it gives me a huge headache. There are other fragrances that I don't like but nothing comes close to CM and all the fragrances that smell like it.

I am very disappointed, people who loved the 2012 version seem to dislike this one so I thought it would be different enough. I love rose scents and I was hoping that this would be a beautiful rose fragrance but it's mostly citrus and patchouli.

The only fragrances of the Miss Dior line that I like are Absolutely Blooming and Blooming Bouquet.

Scentstrumpet

Since this version is so polarizing, I had my husband test it with me, for another perspective. We also intentionally skipped reading the notes, so that we could judge it fairly.

My take: this is a beautiful modern citrus-floral-gourmand. I smell orange juice, rose, jasmine, almond, and vanilla. It smells like a modern bouquet, set next to a display of macarons and sweet oranges. The floral notes fade after 20 minutes, and I’m left with an almond-vanilla base that stays until it’s completely faded away six to eight hours later. Silage is average (4-6 feet), and lasting power is above average (6-8 hours). As far as the actual scent quality goes, this truly does smell high-end, no doubt about it. “Miss Dior” 2017 smells modern and extremely romantic. It does bring to mind a young Parisian girl. While it is not as unique or compelling as “Miss Dior Chérie” (now, THAT was a true masterpiece, totally rivaled the original “Coco Mademoiselle,” and a work of art in its own rights), “Miss Dior” 2017 is a pleasure to wear. However, it will never have the distinctive or recognizable qualities that many designer perfumes have. As for how the 2017 measures up to the 2012 version; I’d say the current version is more gourmand. Personally, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about “Miss Dior” 2017, and might purchase the largest bottle once my sample is empty. I don’t care how common it smells; it is gorgeous, very relevant, and very NOW.

My husband’s take: “Eh. Vanilla-rose-jasmine. It’s so done. The basic girl of perfumes.”

norhamdi

I never like miss dior edp...for me it just to sharp...make me headache...just like her twin, coco mademoiselle...but this 2017 version is different...on me, the rose top note smell really great...not overwhelming...just lovely....after a while, i can sense the patchouli note...and something woody yet sweet... i just love it! Really the best miss dior edp ever made!

debbiestar

it is very curious how differently people perceive perfumes... I keep reading this is too sweet and syrupy, cloying and also someone compares it to La Vie est Belle & sisters??? how is this possible?
I really don't know why, but this is not sweet at all for me, but citrusy, fresh, clean and soft...but as I said noses are very different, so...

charf

I have loved fragrance all my 39 year old life, but absolutely hated Miss Dior, especially the 2012 version. In my opinion it has smelled like something from the old days. It's just not for me. But for the first time I really enjoy it, this new 2017 version. It is so creamy and sweet and soft. And I think that I am going to buy a Miss Dior perfume for the first time in my life. I am a fan of this. I do also love Absolutely Blooming and Blooming Bouquet.

Annabear

I tried this at the Dior counter in Sydney airport recently. It’s pleasant enough but I won’t be buying it because this isn’t Miss Dior. Did the marketing people at Dior run out of names for their fragrances? Couldn’t they have come up with something that would better describe this new creation? It’s nothing like the original, so why call it after the original, or does someone think it’s economical to recycle names because there’s only a finite number of CD permissible names in their universe?

It’s as ridiculous as Guerlain creating a zesty citrus juice and calling it Shalimar.

Maybe they didn’t have the budget to pay someone to create the name...here’s some options for free Maison Dior...

Nouvelle Miss Dior,
Miss Dior Junior,
Safe Miss Dior,
Nothing like Miss Dior,
Miss Dior Manque,
Missing in Action Dior
Missing Miss Dior
Competing with other boring Frags Miss Dior...

G.I. JANE

First impression:
I definitely smell the bergamot right out of the gate.
Once it settles, the pink peppercorns really shine through and there's a hint of rose. I'm not really smelling the patchouli though. It's a rather pretty scent. It smells NOTHING like the 2012 reformulation, which smelled more like champagne. It's a bold move by Dior that has upset a lot of people. It's unfortunate, but this is the new Miss Dior and it's here to stay, folks.

madonnatella

there will be always only one "Miss Dior" and it is the one from 1947 and the esprit de parfum and edt I wore in the 80s, as there will always be only one "Poison" which shall be the 80s' witch alongside her sisters "Coco", "Giorgio", "Red", "Obsession", "Knowing", "Phéromone" etc.
But hey I bought this new edition of Miss Dior and it is just a whole new perfume, a lovely rose perfume, also "très très Dior" and in the whole of its execution fabulous. Never did I buy one of the popcorn, blooming bouquet, "Chérie"; and other lame flankers yet to this perfume I easily succumbed. yes I hate "La vie est belle" then must think at Christian Lacroix' "C'est la vie" such an original perfume also. the very rosy Miss Dior is sweet but not from saccharine Barbieing Victoria's Secret pear, mango, papaya or orange sucréed non perfumes. this is a wholly feminine perfume and I love it. and well they could overflankering as they do but those notorious oldies just keep rocking, no, punking hard.

debbiestar

I understand the disappointment from the old version lovers, but I still love this version and I am going to wear it and enjoy it without too much drama. Love it!

Shoshi

This version of Miss Dior actually strikes me as heavier on the patchouli and base notes than past versions. Less citrus/orange and even less rose. It's nice, if you want a heavier woodier Miss Dior.

iamoir

I have already written a review about it, was lucky to be one of the first to test it and I never write a second review-It's too much in my opinion- but I was so pissed that I had to. So forgive me please

How f***ing could they? Go ahead and create a FLANKER Dior and name it Miss Dior A la Vanille, no problems, why on effing earth do you need to discontinue and change formula? In a flanker-friendly era, every girl would be happy having her flanker of Miss Dior, and it would be definitely economically beneficial for the brand. Their actions don't make sense, it's insane

Why Miss Dior A La Vanille? Simply, I was browsing in Sephora for cosmetics and thought "hey, let's wear some juicy sweet rose, just to feel better a bit" and after the initial bergamot and brief rose appearance, HEAPS of vanilla started pouring into my nose, which is nothing from what I remember testing in the summer.

Please don't go with " but it behaves differently in winter and differently in summer" I call that BS.

We all know this stuff, the core of the perfume is immediately recognizable and urges the girly girls into buying it, which is fine, okay, BUT as a flanker of the already existing Miss Dior 2012, it would profit the brand and they would keep up with the trends.

Olympea is like it, Poison Girl is like it, Girl of Now is like it, Armani Code Cashmere is like it, the list goes on and on and on.
Dior has lost it. Pray for your Addicts, Hypnotic Poison and J'adore, although the latest J'adore flanker I smelled is really nice, good quality, they seem to cherish this line a lot, well obviously, J'adore is THE top seller.

Still though, pray and buy your backup bottles if there's any left... Sticking to Miss Dior Original and Miss Dior Le Parfum only! Perfection liquified.

I do have the 2012 version and quite like it, so I was a bit worried that I’d hate this new iteration of Miss Dior, but I actually really like it! I feel that Demachy kept a good portion of the DNA, but it smells lighter, sweeter, and more ethereal than the previous version. Previous Miss Dior was like Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle in that it was a bit of a heavy hitter and also heavy on the patchouli. In the current Miss Dior lineup, I would say this falls between Absolutely Blooming and Bloom. AB is the outspoken, sultry older sister, regular Miss Dior is the confident middle sister, and Bloom is the youngest sister who is coming of age. I love all three, and am going to have to add a full-sized bottle for myself soon. Lovely, lovely scent.

Just prefacing my review by saying I wasn't a fan of the original Miss Dior Cherie nor of the 2012 reformulation, so I don't have any biases towards this new 2017 version. I didn't like the patchouli note in the original, and the 2012 version always had this weird smell to me, almost chemically or something that I could never put my finger on.

By reading the reviews I thought I would like this or at least find this pleasant. And I do. I'm not someone who rates fragrances poorly because they aren't super unique or different (which seems to be a trend on this site sometimes). I enjoy light scents and I enjoy inoffensive scents as much as I enjoy super complex or incredibly unique ones and I find this light and pleasant. At first it smells like a very watered down version of Absolutely Blooming with a bearable version of La Vie Est Belle (which I actually don't particularly like since I dislike La Vie Est Belle). But then the patchouli note comes through and gives it a tiny bit more depth. It's a very light patchouli note, no where near it's previous version. As it settle it takes on that familiar base tone of Miss Dior/Miss Dior Cherie, that underlying warm rounded sweetness that you recognize if you're familiar with the line. But this is lighter, much lighter, than the other two. Ultimately, it's an airy, light warm sugary rosy floral with a hint of fruity sweetness and a touch of patch. It's definitely has more mass market appeal, which I personally don't think is a bad thing. But I agree with other opinions this should have been a flanker and not a reformulation.

On a side note, like the reviewer lilka down there I remember when the 2012 reformulation happened and everyone was saying how horrible the reformulation was and how they disliked it, so it is actually sort of funny to see how the majority of reviews are now praising the 2012 version and saying this new one is horrible.

Edited to add: For the first few wearings I could not smell any pink pepper note, but I accidentally "doused" my wrist when I was too overzealous about shaking my dabber bottle of this and that over application made me able to smell it, and it smells really good, give it a warm and spicy (not a spices deep spicy, a bright spicy, if spicy can be bright) . Adds another faucet of complexity and surprisingly, despite over-applying the scent did not get cloying or headache inducing. Considering a bottle of this now!

The new Miss Dior took me by a pleasant surprise though I’m truly sad for those who are disappointed with it. I know what it feels like to have your signature masterpiece butchered by reformulations so I get the negative/frustrated reviews. However, as I am not a lover of the patchouli note, for me, this is the best formulation of Miss Dior and finally the one I can wear! :) It makes me very happy because I could never don the legendary Miss Dior due to that “dirty” patchouli note that made it too heavy on my skin. This version is dominated by a sweet, jammy rose that’s also warmed up by a beautiful pink pepper note. The fragrance itself feels fresh but sensual and, like a chameleon, keeps changing to showcase different notes periodically until I wash it off. The projection certainly does Dior proud! It fills the room and stays on my skin for 12+ hours by passing the “overnight” test. Again, I wish they hadn't reformulated Miss Dior and simply named this one a flanker of Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming, whose DNA is certainly expressed here. But I’m overjoyed with the new beautiful bottle and absolutely want one on my vanity!

Ps: If Dior reps are reading this, would you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back Miss Dior Cherie 2005 version with the strawberry/popcorn note? I promise to buy it in a heartbeat if you do. Thank you. :)

I was not expecting to like this so much, but I do. I was not a fan of previous Miss Diors, but this one is the first that has me considering a bottle. If you're a fan of frags like Black Opium and La Vie Est Belle, there's a good chance you'll love 2017 Miss Dior. Due to the notes, this is a fall/winter fragrance in my opinion.

Edit: I've been wearing my sample of this perfume exclusively for the past several days, and I have to say, I cannot get enough. It is truly lovely, a perfect perfume. The initial blast is citrusy, yet spicy with the pink pepper note. The opening can be a little on the strong side, but the dry down is so, so beautiful. Very warm, sweet, and comforting. This is going on my Christmas list. LOVE.

I have been using Miss Dior EDP(2012) for four years, and it is one of my favourite scents. I don't know why Dior has to reformulate it but keeping its name. It is totally different from the 2012 version, the 2017 one is less delicate and fresh, it is a boring scent. and Pink??!!! I want my champagne colour again!!!!!!!

helirium

I had basically zero expectations for this new version of Miss Dior. I was so heartbroken upon the discontinuation of the previous version so I was quite indifferent while testing it.
The opening reminded me first Absolutely Blooming, so I thought, oh, so this a "beige" version of Absolutely Blooming. However, something about it drew me in.
I tried it again, and it suddenly took me back in childhood! My mother had a bottle of Yves Rocher's Venice, which I remember smelling as a first perfume ever in my life. By the time I was attracted by it as a curious little girl.
I checked the notes and surprisingly Miss Dior has almost every note Venice has except the base notes. Somehow, I smell amber/vanilla in the base of Miss Dior and therefor it completes my memory of Venice.
A sensual, warm floral that makes me think of velvet-- feels soft yet luxurious against the skin and has something old fashioned about it.
So I tried hard to not to love this because I was angry and sad what happened with other Miss Diors. But I'm afraid I can't fight against how much I like it.
And what would I do for love? Buy a bottle of this new Miss Dior, I guess. Maybe, Dior, maybe..

Pmy

I was expecting a better performance of this new reformulation, but sadly I was disappointed. The 2012 formulation is better in so many levels.
Its a no buy for me.

lilka

I remember when Miss Dior 2012 was launched and everybody was complaining about discontinuing Miss Dior Cherie, throwing stones on new release of 2012, and now everyone became the fan of discontinued Miss Dior 2012. Ha ha ha ... funny. I have never loved Miss Dior 2012, the new one is just what I want. Love in a bottle.
Please live today’s life, love or hate today’s products, buy or not buy the new Miss Dior, stop complainings, it is just so boring.

clavicepspurpurea

Miss Dior 2012 was very popular and it deserved the love. I had high hopes for the new formulation, expecting something deep, warm and sensual. Unfortunately this version was completely disappointing. I have smelled this 100 times before, we already have La Vie est Belle, Black Opium, Si. I find nothing unique in this, another boring sweet fragrance.

This will be more a review of how Dior, as a brand, is deceiving and disrespecting their customers, and how they, to me, are losing their value as a real luxury brand...

Miss Dior is a perfume that has been reformulated many times. I can understand why they reformulated the 1947 version and make Miss Dior Chérie the new Miss Dior (which happened in 2012), because the 1947 version was indeed a little "too old" for modern times (but beautiful just the same). So, there came the new Miss Dior is 2012. But if you like the yellowish-ambar colored fragrance with a great patchouli and caramel popcorn dry-down, forget it, it has now been replaced by an insipid, boring, weak floral fragrance with no powerful base note to make it remarkable or lasting.

I don't know why Dior would replace the 2012 version, which is a BEAUTIFUL AND REMARKABLE perfume, with that crap that is now being sold. After all, Miss Dior is indeed a classic perfume, it has been reformulated one time already, WHY DO IT AGAIN? How are they supposed to have loyal customers if they are not loyal to their customers in return? If they wanted to release a new version of Miss Dior, why not release it with a new name, such as the "Blooming Bouquet" and "Absolutely Blooming" (which are beautiful versions btw), while keeping the original 2012 version in the market?

If you want to be viewed as a real luxury brand, you are telling the world that your products are the essence of elegance and timelessness, which means your perfumes, clothes, etc will never ever need to be changed because they'll always be trendy and desirable. If you keep changing your own products all the time (and Dior does that to their makeup line as well), you're sending the message that your products are constantly out of date and need to be updated all the time. Also, you're sending the message that you care about the MONEY of the customers, not their satisfaction. All brands want customers' money, but at least they hide their capitalist intentions by being loyal to their customers and not changing their classic perfumes.

Chanel, for example, has their 1986 reformulated Chanel No. 5 but if you want to buy the original one, you can still find it. Chanel also released Eau Première and L'Eau, which are other modern versions of the Chanel No. 5 but they never stopped selling the original, true Chanel No. 5 parfum. That's being loyal to your customers and to the legacy of the brand. Dior, on the other hand, throws away any perfume that "underperforms" according to their stupid criteria, even if it was a beautiful, amazing perfume like the 2012 Miss Dior or the wonderful Midnight Poison, which is an olfactive gem we will never see again.

I was lucky to buy a bottle of the 2012 version online, produced in 2016. So if you're looking for the 2012 version of it, look for it in small perfume shops and online from trusted sellers and maybe you'll find it. And always check at Checkfresh.com if the perfume was really manufactured before 2017. If it was manufactured in 2017 and the perfume is rose-tinted, it's the crappy new version, don't waste your time with it.

I also recommend buying an extra bottle of the "Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming" if you love this perfume like I do, because it seems that it's "underperforming" and they'll probably discontinue it as well. Will they discontinue or reformulate "J'Adore" one day as well? I don't know. I honestly don't trust Dior as a brand anymore. Too bad they're doing this to a beautiful brand, because Christian Dior was a genius who valued tradition, legacy and craftsmanship.

Dior, your new Miss Dior is definitely not what I would do for love.

Kon-nos91

The time has come. It's my very first blind-buy just because it's Miss Dior and the EDT edition is my signature! I really wish they will not reformulate the whole line, it wouldn't make sense, but I guess logic isn't a word well known for Dior perfumerie.

First of all, special thanks to fragranticans: prettyswag, genny17, aliora and Vanian that texted me to let me know their opinion on the "new in square" Miss Dior EDP 2017. We could call it like this, right? I can assure you all that we're talking for a completely different perfume that doesn't remind 2012's masterpiece. It's difficult to say goodbye to it but we won't cry in the end. Their similarities are only in sillage.

While smelling the box of it, that has only as an extra a paper cover with the old Miss Dior Cherie EDP bottle design, just like Absolutely Blooming EDP has with a fuschia perimeter & bow, a nice rosie-jam note could be detected. I guess they passed the change almost silently if we forget the really nice ad with Natalie Portman and soon the box will be the exact same as Miss Dior EDP used to be. I am giving you all this details to help you and the 2012 edition lovers. From now on, you must check the number to be sure of what edition you buy.

On the skin it's a whole different story. My first impression was like: hmmm people are right, there's a similarity with Absolutely Blooming EDP edition although they don't share common notes. It's like a similar, less fruity, or intense sibling of it. After a few minutes you forget about this. I agree with those saying it's one of the sweetest Miss Dior, that something is missing while testing in on paper, but without being sugary or gourmandise. It's just a perfect rose and I am not a rose fan. About the characterization as generic. Well, it is a bit. It's something you have smelled before like an edition of La vie est belle or La nuit tresor EDP from Lancome, less sweet/synthetic/sirupy, but with Dior's signature. I can smell something special right in the heart of it that I like and I could describe it with the word fresh. This is the only new fact I can accept and really like.

So, I was waiting as long as possible before I open and test Miss Dior EDP 2017 because I am on a new beginning of my life at the moment. Promise I will use it till the last drop as I never did with any perfume from my collection. I totally forgot to mention that to me it doesn't smell anything close to Poison Girl and not at all a combination of EDT & Blooming Bouquet. A few hours passed, in my clothes it smells how I like, like a rosie delight but in my skin a faint vanilla left. Unfortunately, lasting power is moderate. What is this perfume about: Rose, rose and rose, but not a classic one. A modern and light rose with a touch of sweet orange and a supportive jasmine. I love jasmine but not straight so the amount of it it's at least perfect. I can finally smell this 'jasmine leaf' that I couldn't in 2012 spicy and musky edition. That's it. You didn't like the earthy patchouli, warm spicy feeling and golden rosie touch of 2012's edition? You like florals? You like honey-sweet fresh florals dressed in couture? Then try it!!! The 2017 Miss Dior is not mature or precious anymore, but completely liberate, strong and ready to be loved...

I find it a lot less sweet than the other versions personally...it is warmer too,, more .mature also..more floral..i just don't think it is extremely sweet ?! But here in Canada it is quite cool, so might be a weather thing too.

ScarlettX

It is very-very sweet, the sweetest of Miss Dior's perfumes.
I sense rose, woody notes and spices. I don't think it has that typical Miss Dior scent to it. The 2012 version was more for my taste, but unfortunately I didn't buy it, just can't possibly buy them all.
A bit too sweet.

gillbert

softer version of Miss Dior (really reformulated) sound like cheaper version of Miss Dior

combination flankers of Miss Dior EDT, Blooming Bouquet, Absolutely Blooming and Miss Dior EDP 2012

by the way it still a nice scent but more tone down compare to Miss Dior 2012, I love Miss Dior EDP 2012 very much, rich, potent, really good sillage and longevity, while Miss Dior 2017 is more modern, youthful, easy going, simple and elegance, what i get the most are roses and jasmine, freshness is there and not too aggressive even they put so many citrusy note but it easy to fade, in dry down is very soft woody, overall i enjoy wearing this perfume

snoopyQ

In the beginning i get a fresh clean rose that lasts for about 5 minutes. Then it slowly morphs into a sugary vanilla, indeed reminiscent of Absolutely Blooming.

Basically it is a cross between Absolutely Blooming and Poison Girl.

That type of smell is everywhere and I dare say it has become generic.

But of course not bad.
Not good either.

Minty Mouth

It really does smell very similar to Poison Girl. Orange, rose, vanilla. The only real difference is that the vanilla is a little toned down, which makes the rose stand out a little more.

I think it's a good decision by Dior from a business point of view. Obviously they really believe in this fragrance DNA, and are making it clear that this is what the Dior woman smells like. Them marketing the same fragrance across two different demographics is a little disheartening for us perfume lovers, but if it helps more women find this beautiful juice I'm all for it.

R.I.P Miss Dior 2012.

IndigoEye

This saddens me. The original is, I get it, not to everyone's taste - it is not to my taste. The 2012 version was quite a bit like Coco Mlle but more citrusy and I had a soft spot for it - it was nicely made and with good longevity - it still had something of a chypre about it. The parfum version was pretty lovely. This version has lost all trace of chypre, or spunk or originality. I get that you need to move with the times but does moving with the times really mean riding on the coat tails of every other mainstream success but then making it a bit safer and a bit more polished?
This is fruity and light, as inoffensive as shampoo and as uninteresting. Fine for a gift for anyone who likes to dress in pastel colours. You will smell good but unremarkable. But really, come on, Dior - step up to your name and heritage and be a pioneer not a copycat.

I really really like this fragrance! I never cared for the other versions...they were ok, just never a love for me.

This version is soooo nice though.

It opens fresh and citrusy with a bit of peppery spice, warming up into a woody rose and some sort of hint of sweetness to keep it from smelling stale (maybe thats the patch?).

Its definitely a modern, young woody rose.

This wears pretty light and close to the skin for me. I truly enjoy this and Im hoping they keep this version around because when I run out of my cute 1oz bottle Im definitely going to buy a big one!
