I don't get much citrus even in the opening, it just smells like a powdery, woody floral to me. I don't have an experienced nose and it's hard for me to pin down the notes in this; Miss Dior feels complex to me. Unfortunately, as it dries down it gets more and more powdery and the patchouli starts coming through, which gives it a mature quality that will probably prevent me from purchasing until I'm older and can embody the fragrance more. This fragrance strongly evokes the image of a wealthy middle-aged woman who has her life together, dresses well, garners respect. I think my best friend's mother may have worn this (or something similar) when I was younger, and that's what informs my opinion of the fragrance? Overall, I really like Miss Dior, I just don't like WEARING it. I may try some of the flankers to see if any of them are more my style at my current age, but Miss Dior EDP does represent who I want to be in the future.

I got a sample of the current EDP formulation with a purchase and couldn't be more disappointed. It smells just like every other current bestselling high end youthful fragrance in the market - bright citrus opening, thin-as-air rosy heart and crystal clean drydown woods. On my skin, it smells almost exactly like Mon Guerlain EDP, even though they have supposedly very different notes. I would never be able to discern it in a lineup.
It has low projection/sillage and medium longevity on my skin (about 6hrs).

One of the few reformulations i applaud dior on. Thanks for creating something alot of people can enjoy.

When sniffing the skin, there’s an unfortunate undercurrent of isopropyl alcohol in the first 1-1.5 hour of wear. That fades, thank goodness, and is really only smellable on the skin and not in the scent bubble. That could be my tester though, which, while fairly new to me, has signs of age.
I’ve been lamenting the discontinuation of Miss Dior Cherie lately, so I decided to give this a try and compare/contrast. Cherie is sweeter, fruitier, richer, stronger, and has a totally different personality than this iteration of MD. If Cherie is a popular extrovert, MD is an elegant and reserved introvert. Still sweet, but more grounded.
Adding to my wishlist!

I can only smell the faint warm spiciness now but when I first sprayed this I was quite impressed.
I didn't get the fresh spicy smell that i expected (like mademoiselle) I got a warm, slightly spicy, slightly floral and almost a chocolatey smell!
I kept smelling the scent wafting around me the whole night and it made me feel very warm, calm and pretty.

Hum_C
Overall, it's a very nice perfume which is suitable for any season and any occasion.

1. Juice change
2. Packaging change to modernize the look
3. Changing it to be refillable like Sauvage (packaging change)
Only time will tell what the real change will be.

This is not to my taste, being an overly sweet mall girl fragrance. It has a commercial appeal, better than the likes of Flowerbomb or Idole but it is not interesting or anything special.
I would love to compare this to the 2012 version, but I think I'm nostalgic for Chérie circa mid-noughties. Passable. 2/5.

I purchased this thinking it was the 2012 version.
If anyone has the 2012 Miss Dior which they wish to swap for this one and pink pepper does well with your skin, please PM or any other perfume from your stash which you could swap for this. We can discuss details in PM.
I’m based in India and I am not looking to ship internationally.

New favorite of mine (with my beloved Chloe Nomade)
Owned the 2012 version, but prefer the 2017 edition.

2017 Miss Dior on my wrist today straight out of the box was all Replica By the Fireplace. I am happy for that. But it is a more feminine BTFP
and more complex. I this Miss Dior has a very spicy heart and could be loved by men as well as women. Much more so than CM. The Mandarin Orange notes come forward early on and I guess mixed with the Patchouli create a warm spice pulse. It grows sweeter before heading to a powdery dry down.

This is so different from the previous versions that it almost makes me laugh - I can imagine the annoy that people have had over this when buying it thinking it would be the 2012 formula. I still own a bottle of Miss Dior Cherie from 2009 (which is 2005 formula), Miss Dior EdT from 2013 and Miss Dior EdP from 2012 (only 7,5 ml tiny bottle though...), and this new one has absolutely nothing in common with those except the name and bottle :D The original Miss Dior Cherie from 2005 smells like strawberries, popcorn and caramel. The Miss Dior EdP and EdT from 2012-13 smell pretty similar to my nose, like orange syrup with patchouli and rose. This newest one to me smells like Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb and Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle had a baby - very intensely sweet rosy scent with loads of patchouli & woods. It doesn't have vanilla listed in the notes, but I'm getting an impression of that as well. I actually quite like it, but I think people should judge this as a completely new fragrance and forget the old versions, or they'll be very dissapointed.

To begin with I never liked the 2012 version, there was immediately a “medicinal - orange syrup - men’s cologne from the 90’s - hospital hallways” kick to it, it was too much. Too much patchouli which can be aggressive if not used sparingly. Also, everyone is loving how that version was similar to Coco Mademoiselle. Why is that a good thing? If I wanted Mademoiselle, I would simply buy it. I want an authentic smell, not a version of another decent perfume.
That being said, the 2017 reformulation made me very happy. It’s hard to find a rose perfume that’s not too grandma-ish. This is sweet and girly, however, much softer and more sophisticated than LVEB and the others. The ingredients are very high quality, you can always pin-point all the main notes instead of smelling one big cloud of something.
My description: Candied rose, Turkish delights, red orange soda, playful pepper, a walk in a botanical garden.
Love it for an office job, a date, theatre, a wedding, a holiday celebration. Literally anywhere.
I can go to a grocery store with sweatpants and no makeup but wearing this, and I will still feel classy and put together.
My only problem with this is the longevity. This only lasts 4-5 hours, similar to the EDT version which I do own as well. Besides that, Miss Dior is a gorgeous lady!

Sillage is low, longevity is moderate on me. I like it, definitely get the rose and the patchouli the most. I won't be purchasing a full bottle of this as I prefer girly scents, maybe I'll revisit it in 10 years.

This 2017 version is pretty. It's very feminine, a hint of spice. The pepper and citrus is bright and prominent in the opening then settle in to blend beautifully. The citrus is sweet, such a nice blend. The millions of roses with a bit of jasmine are lush and creamy. It's such a creamy floral. The patchouli isn't too strong, it enhances the whole thing and holds it together deepening it ever so slightly. I dont know if it's the rosewood reacting with the lingering pepper, but I swear I get a hint of anise, like star of anise, but maybe that's just me. This is nice. Feminine, soft, creamy, bright, with a hint of spice. Great for daywear, and office hours. I bought a bottle. Not my favorite by any means, but it smells ultra natural, ladylike, sweet, and expensive. I do like it a lot.

This is just TOO gorgeous!
With all the varieties of "Miss Dior" out there, I'm a very confused puppy. In saying that, I'm ....almost certain this 2017 version is the one I own.
The initial mandarin orange burst wasn't my favourite to start with, but I'm obsessed now! It evolves to a deep, invigorating blood orange that mingles with sweet orange.
For that gorgeous floral: It's not that deepest-red-of-rose scent here. This is RIDICULOUSLY light and pretty! If you see Grasse or Damask roses, they are (generally) a light pink colour. Comparing visual to smell - is what this perfume prettily emotes. I personally adore sniffing this scent on the back of my hand.
It's romantic, light, rosy, heady, delicate, graceful, whimsical, feminine, and has fairly adequate longevity.
You will smell like a slightly citrusy, very pretty rose.
I love it!
Half a point taken off for Dior heart-deflating price tags.
I'm already half-way through my 30ml bottle which is making my wallet quiver.

This version is kind of boring and it lacks uniqueness. It smells sweeter and spicier than the older version but in a bad way, it gives me a poison girl vibe and there‘s too much rose in it. In my opinion the 2012 version was more sexy, more classy & more interesting, less girly. Sometimes they reformulate scents but you still recognize the old scent in it but this time they totally changed the scent & in a way that I don‘t like.
Ambroxer
The opening is very fruity and sugary sweet. There’s some rose in the background too, which keeps it away from being cloying. The rose takes more of the foreground as the mid begins, allowing Miss Dior some maturity, but this is still very girly-sweet and bright pink until deep into the dry down. It’s an everyday perfume that could work in a great number of settings. Breezy enough to just smell nice at home, qualified for a professional environment, and romantic enough for a date. From what I have smelled, this could be said of any major women’s designer fragrance in various shades of pink bottles.
Still, there’s nothing wrong with Miss Dior to my nose. Letting it waft in the air makes a space feel more romantic. I know this fragrance gets a lot of criticism from reformulation, and the line itself causes confusion with its many flankers. This guy, however, still finds Miss Dior to be a lady. If only there were a little less of the playful and sweet and more floral allure, Miss Dior is a lady I’d consider putting on a pedestal.

I am a die hard fan of the 2012 version of Miss Dior ... not a late comer, not those who bashed her then swore to her beauty, no, I loved her since I opened my 2014 Christmas present. I've loved her since the beginning.I love the brightness, the comfort and elegance it offers,I love everything about it.
I do own and love Coco Mademoiselle, regular and Intense, but Miss Dior has a special spot in my heart, It's the perfect balance of citrus, rose, jasmine and patchouli, not too sweet, not too earthy, just round and perfect.
I finished my 2012 100ml bottle and got a 50ml one, and I was content. Then this weekend I spotted a 100ml bottle at a discount site at a good price. The description offered the 2012 notes .... so, I took the plunge, and waited .... it arrived today ....
I opened the box .... took a look at the bottle .... and my heart sank ... pink juice, not that lovely ambery apricot color of my dreams. I sprayed a little on the back of my hand ... and my heart sank a little bit more, it was not her ... no citruses, no roundness, no elegance, no nothing of what I love, just a sweet, sweet rose, very much like LVEB, which I DON'T like, at all.The drydown does not bring much of an improvement, just some powdery rose and not much more. I'll keep the bottle and I will continue trying to love it.
I don't like leaving negative comments, but I needed to share my experience with the 2017 Miss Dior iteration.
I'm disappointed and a little sad, my beloved Miss Dior is gone forever, because Dior likes to reformulate their hits for reasons only known to them.
Why Dior, why?
EDIT
So, I gave it full day wear, and what can I say .... I 'm a sucker for powdery roses. Yes, it starts out very much similar to LVEB .... but then it turns towards Flowerbomb territory, and that I like (taste is a weird thing. A friend and I despise LVEB, but she loves Black Opium and I love Flowerbomb 🤷).
I ended up enjoying it and I think it'll be a nice comforting winter scent. It's nothing like the 2012 version that I love, but it's a lovely scent on its own right.

Today I was at my local Walgreens in a rather dodgy area of town if I may add. I was perusing the cosmetics section when I spotted a slightly dusty 50ml box of Miss Dior Eau de Parfum in the glass casing display. The "perfumery" at Walgreens is typically a collection of dated has been fragrances from yesteryear of which the department store beauty counters no longer carry. You can find olfactory hits from the 80s/90s or take a stroll down memory lane with some god awful concoctions you used to spray on yourself back in high school. Alas, I asked the doe-eyed and clueless yet sweet sales associate if I could take a look at the box of Miss Dior to perhaps decipher a batch code. She eagerly pulled out the box of perfume and handed it to me saying that she believes it had been almost a year since they recieved it and that she has no idea why they would be trying to sell a prestige perfume at that store location which is a rather high crime area. In my head I was already thinking "Could this be my beloved Miss Dior EDP from 2012? Is it even possible? Probably not. They disappeared from the shelves years ago. Don't get your hopes up..."
I eagerly whipped out my phone and searched my trusty batch code website and after squinting my eyes forever trying to accurately read the bloody batch code:
Batch Code: 6Y01
Production Date: 2016
Oh my god... could it be?!?! I was beginning to get really excited because when people refer to the current EDP they typically note the fact that it's the 2017 reformulation. I still could not fathom the possibility that inside this box could be the gorgeous Miss Dior Eau De Parfum 2012 that was cruelly snatched away from us all those years ago. Walgreen's return policy can be hit or miss so I thought worst case scenario I end up with another bottle of Miss Dior EDP 2017 and just eat the cost. I paid approximately $105 and had the salesgirl wrap up the perfume nicely. Being unable to contain my excitement I got home shortly thereafter and carefully opened the box while praying this was the moment I had been hoping for... and there it was. The moment I pulled up the bottle in my hands I could immediately tell by the color of the warm peachy apricot juice that this was Miss Dior EDP 2012. I'm not exaggerating when I say I almost shed a tear. I removed the cap and spritzed my arm and was in absolute heaven. The sensual rose and Italian mandarin followed up by jasmine absolute and patchouli... if you remember Miss Dior 2012 you know the difference without a shadow of a doubt.
I kid you not when I say I have scoured beauty counters and boutiques all over Europe and the Middle East for at least 3 years trying to track down this beauty and here it was at my local Walgreens. Absolutely unbelievable.
I wanted to share this story with all of you 🖤
(P.S) Personally I think the current Miss Dior 2017 is a lovely perfume and I actually own a 100ml bottle. The 2017 rendition emphasizes florals with pronounced notes of rose and rosewood. Whereas Miss Dior 2012 veers into gourmand territory with notes of caramel and a heavier patchouli.

But miss Dior is slightly sweeter, less spicy version.
Lots of fruity orange maybe strawberry too ?
This is a nice all rounder, any time of year , any age but I think the younger girls
Will love this most but any age can wear this.
Pretty and inoffensive sweet n juicy goodness
Very likeable.

I imagine a young, girly woman wearing it. she is feminine and cute, but responsable and down to earth.

I say we all quit buying it until Dior can help us stop making MISTAKES by buying the one we do NOT want, knowing most of us won't return it!! It's a marketing scheme at this point!

Sharp , elegant , grown woman , sexy and ultra feminine . Can give me lightheaded if I over spray . This lasts FOREVER on my skin . This has become my signature . I bought this perfume by accident I meant to buy I believe it was the miss Dior absolute blooming because my friend had it but instead chose this one and I chose the large 6.7 ounce bottle I believe and it’s been one year and I’m already finishing that one and I have over 50 perfumes .
I love this ♥️

I have a bottle produced in late 2017 which smells divine and lush. Very rosy, woody and a little vanilla-y. Minimal citrus, only occurs at the opening. Its sillage is moderate, but the longevity is excellent. Most importantly the juice is DEEP BROWNISH ROSE in colour. Scrolling down on here I found that comments made in early 2018 state that the juice was brownish as well.
However last week when I went to the Dior counter and asked to sample their perfumes, to my horror, the Miss Dior EDP smells like a watered down version of its previous glory!! The bottle they have contains juice that is a pale rose orange colour, much like how it is in the ads and the display picture. The new juice now has a much more pronounced citrus note which, when combined with the watered down rose and woods, is a bit headache-inducing. I also noticed that it bears much more resemblance to the Miss Dior EDT 2019.
My guess is, when Dior devised Miss Dior EDT 2019 to replace the 2013 version, they reformulated the already new EDP 2017 as well. This reformulation would probably have rendered most bottles of EDP produced since 2019 to be the current watered-down ones.
P.S. The Dior counter I went to had the full line of perfumes available to sample, including the newest Rose n' Roses. With each perfume they had 1-2 bottles on display. I saw a less than half-full bottle of deep brownish rose Miss Dior EDP lurking in the second row. I don't think even the salesperson was aware of the difference? But since I have owned the 2017 bottle for 2 years now I can tell you with certainty that the current one is very, very watered-down.

Amascent
No doubt this new version is a nice pleasing fragrance and will gain followers in it's own right. However the girl that wore the 2012 version is not the same girl that's wearing this. I think they're 2 different type of women. This should have had it's own name, and separate marketing. Should be different from the Miss Dior many knew, were loyal to, and loved. To me I'm a little turned off by Dior now. They're expecting the name to carry all weight and are expecting people to be stupid and forget what this used to be. It's insulting to their loyal customers, and seems rather deceptive as well.

Bioluv
This is btw but the dry down really reminds me of poison girl edp.
Edit: this is actually really beautiful- citrusy, sweet, warm and slightly spicy (in that order). This is well blended; no sharp edges; not too much citrus and for that, I am very grateful. It is elegant but not snobby. A youthful rose, perfect for a young lady or anyone for that matter who’s looking for something bright, classy and yummy. It also lasts a long time on the skin. It’s something I would easily reach for if I want to feel a lil special; it’s not unique by any means but still beautiful nonetheless. This is definitely my ideal rose scent...for now.

Its success drove the creation of more than 20 variations, serving as the pillar for the launch of new lines and limited editions, such as Miss Dior Chérie, in 2005. However, in 2012, Dior decided to rename the fragrance family, ending the name Chérie and launching a new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum.
In 2017, after reformulation, a new fragrance hit the market, leaving behind a modern-chypre style and bringing a new carnal-chypre, which combines notes of Calabrian bergamot, blood orange, and mandarin (top); Grasse’s rose and Damascus rose (body); Rosewood and pink pepper (base).
On the skin, the new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum brings everything one expects to find in a feminine fragrance: power, seduction, and trail. Bergamot is no longer ubiquitous, as the juiciness comes from the other citrus fruits. The mix of roses gained a different weight as if it were a jam made with the fallen petals and green buds that were discarded during the morning harvest. And the rosewood, from which natural Linalol can be extracted, gives a fruity wood smell, which eventually brings a facet similar to that of patchouli.
Was this reformulation well received? No, for several reasons. People are still confused by so many reformulations, as well as mandatory repackaging with the name change. To make matters worse, comparisons are inevitable and many users have not seen due respect for the DNA of the previous version of 2012.
On the other hand, the public who had no contact with the previous version, nor with the fragrances of the extinct Chérie line, fell in love with this Miss Dior EDP and I understand why. In this creation, it is possible to like roses, without having to feel that literal smell, which reminds us of a walk through a flower garden, for example. In addition, in 2017 the market surrendered to the Ethyl Maltol compound and its sweet nuances, which were explored in various ways and related to the patchouli note. And this version of Miss Dior has some of that sweeter footprint, resulting in a floral-gourmand of fruity opening and spicy drying with excellent projection and high durability.
It wasn't the invention of the wheel, but it wasn't a total shot in the foot either. To me, it was like a risky move by Dior in a chess game, whose board represented the market, and the pieces represented their variables (audience, investment, etc.). Honestly, I don't know if it was checkmate, but that Miss Dior EDP (2017) came close to conquering the Queen, I have no doubt.

Longevity for sure and sillage as well

Littlewhitetruths
I can smell a little of the original formulation in here but they're very different and this one doesn't work for me. It smells a bit like musky hairspray on me, and it's not a complex perfume. I mostly get lemon, musk and rose, and it's not a fragrance that suits me.
At least it's not awful so I can wear it, but it doesn't make me feel special like the original did. I just want to finish it and move on. It may suit a younger woman who wants something relatively light, because it's not heavy or distinct so I can see how it may appeal to some.
Plus the longevity is reasonable (around six hours), and on me it smells the same no matter how long I've had it on - which could also be a good thing for some because many fragrances smell better (or worse) at different periods during their wear-time. This one's constant.
Not for me.

This reformulation of Miss Dior is Mon Guerlain’s bubbly cousin. But this Miss Dior’s longevity could be better.

I found a Miss Dior at a good price and I couldn't figure out, for the life of me, is it 2012 or 2017?
I bought it anyway guessing that it's probably 2017.
Can't they simply come up with different names (or bottles) and spare us the agony?
Edit: I've had it for for a week and I love it!
Honestly, I was hoping for the 2012, Coco Mademoiselle's sister, but instead I got Coco Noir's sweet and flirty young sister!
They are somehow similar to me, but I think Miss Dior out performs Coco Noir, It's rich, thick and long lasting. And there's a huge Vanilla in it that's not listed!

I got one sample and a mini, I hope that I will have enough tries to know if it's worth the splurge, because I'm torn. I don't dislike it, far from it, I love its orangeness its soft side, I just don't know if I love it enough. Miss Dior reminds me a lot of Dior Poison Girl EDT, Miss Dior is rosier and less sweet, but they share a lot of smelly notes, that makes me wonder if I would just rather wear Poison Girl EDT instead, since it's a top favorite of mine.
Overall it smells good, some of the notes make me dream (rosewood, blood orange...), this is still my favorite rose centered perfumes right now and I recommend it, but I need to try it more.

Blackmoonlilith
"Miss Dior Eau de Parfum reveals the femininity of a sensual floral.
The top notes are wrapped in a ribbon of fresh notes of Calabrian Bergamot. Its heart combines the beauty of Grasse Rose with the boldness of Damascus Rose. Base notes of Rosewood and Pink Pepper bring character to the composition."
On me it's sweet, warm, sensual and nutty. I don't smell the patchouli. I like to wear it when the weather is colder and I've got some compliments for it. Someone said I was smelling of chocolate. :-)
Yeah, it smells like you want to eat it! :-)

I love this fragrance! The rose and the rosewood in this is just amazing.
I wear it day and night and all year. Get a lot of compliments from both husband and family/friends.
Scent: 10/10

Over all: 10/10

Once the top notes of pink pepper and citrus pass, this gem settles into straight up rose jam on my skin. The Rosewood gives it an amazing warmth and sweetness that is not sickening or cloying to me.
The lasting power is amazing! on my skin it lasts 8+ hours, hair 12+ hours and on clothes it lasts for DAYS. I had to literally wash a scarf so I could wear another perfume that would've otherwise clashed with Miss Dior.
Also I don't need a lot: 2 sprays on my neck and I am good to go.
Edit: A Co-worker started to wear Miss Dior regularly and I always knew that she's already at work by smelling her perfume in the corridor .. so sillage is also an 10/10 for me!
sensous_5877
I like that it's close to the EDT (2019) - but this EDP is more intense with the powdery-woody notes + more added (vanillic) patchouli.
The more I wear it, the more it reminds me of Poison girl (I got the edp) somehow.
But it's is definitively more luxe, more divine and absolutely more wearable than any of the famous patchouli-fragrances we know, like lveb or flowerbomb (I had them both) imo.
PS: If you think EDP/EDT is too 'strong' and you want your Miss Dior without patchouli, I'd suggest to try the EDT blooming bouquet. [So fresh and beautiful peony with a slight whiff of apricot+peach (but not fruity at all)!]
And if you like it more fruity go for Absolutely Blooming. ;)

Yesterday it was dark and cold, windy and a little depressing outside but just as I sprayed this on, it invited me into a sunny, carefree Sunday in May. It has a certain luxurious champagne vibe to it. Let me explain it:
An image popped into my head: I have beautiful waves in my hear, wearing nice make-up and a beautiful white cocktail dress. I am sitting outside a nice little cafe sipping champagne served with strawberries. I have all the time in the world , I have nothing to worry about, the sun is warming my cheek and I feel harmony.
Those might be the happiest moments in someone’s life. This fragrance is just easy to wear yet it feels special and it isn’t generic at all. The notes are balanced and in perfect harmony. Every woman who likes dresses ,make-up and stuff like this should have Miss Dior on her dressing table in my (biased) opinion.
It lasts for 8-10 hours and sillage is great.
I usually don’t find anything to my taste from the newest designer releases and I am a huge fan of perfume so I am not easy to impress but this one is a really beautiful perfume.
10/10 for sure.

huda_jubail
But this version -MD EDP 2017- is way much better and more unique to me, though I don't like the sweet orange note but it's well blended here.
Miss Dior EDP 2017 is very modern, chic and addictive due to its high quality roses, certainly this version is rejuvenated in a very neat and classy way.

stephdray
I distinctly smell vanilla in Miss Dior, though it's not listed. The patchouli is elegantly done here, but still, quite prominent. So much so that it's overwhelming the absolutely beautiful rose and the sun-drenched orange and the delicious rosewood.
Overall, a pleasing fragrance, soft and feminine and well-rounded. And EXTREMELY LONG LASTING. It was all over my clothes (and the sheets) for days.
But that vanilla-patch combo is everywhere in the market these days, and I don't get along with it.

But Dior’s this version is very nice for me.
This is a real rose fragrance with a powdered vanilla base. Very elegant and softly evolves. It announces its presence without disturbing anyone. I liked it first sniffing and quickly became my signature. I feel very comfortable and happy with it. And most important for me there's nothing disturbing about this scent.
Finally I can say about with it , I love Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2017).

Edit: I've since stocked up on the 2012 version, so my initial shock and disappointment have worn off. This perfume is tangy and juicy; youthful yet classic. A little shampoo-y. I don't get pepper at all, no real spiciness either. Still generic, but pretty and likeable.
If you don't like it then just wait a couple years and we'll get a new version.

Both scents are balsamic chypre floral.
I have 2 bottles of Lancome Hypnose Senses 75 ml one of them I used half of my (2011 bottle with round cap) and I still have a new full (2014 bottle with square cap) and no reformulation still the same amazing long lasting juice.
So therefore, for me no need to purchase Miss Dior 2017 before finishing my Lancome Hypnose Senses bottles because both scents are almost identical to my nose at least.

I deleted my review because it was on the wrong page obviously, but I did think it was odd that it smells quite like the 2012 Miss Dior Cherie.
I still think there's vanilla in this even if its not listed.
I knew it was too fruity to be the 2012 formulation lol, but it's still not overly sweet or sugary.
The rose and patchoulli is incredibly smooth and well blended.
I bought this by accident lol, the description of the perfume I thought I was buying was for the 2012 Miss dior cherie, I had it when it first came out, I burned through it in less than 2 years; which is something I rarely do but I loved it. A lot of people disliked the intense strawberry note, but I thought it was beautiful.
Then I went to replace it a few years later it was gone without a trace leaving me only with this formula.
The longevity is really great with this though so I will give it that, I put it on last night after a shower and woke up to a soft slightly sweet, musky smell wafting around me and it took me a moment to realise it was this, still going after a good 7 hours.
Ultra feminine is the description I'd use for this, perfect for a sunday brunch or a wedding. It's still quite grown up though; that's the whole Miss dior line, they're girly but mature at the same time.
If you're looking for Miss Dior Cherie but can't find it, this is probably the next best thing, its similar but not quite the same
PS: I forgot to mention my immense stroke of luck when buying this( well, it wouldve been even more lucjy if it was the version i was actually after)
I only paid for one bottle, i double checked the invoice and order confirmation, but they sent me two bottles in two seperate boxes! so at least I know i can spray it like i can afford it LOL

Got it, love it. Stays on you and just. You know how a fragrance just does something to you and you can’t get it out of your mind. That’s what happened to me with this and I have to say, YES, just YES.

I have a sample of this and i don't get where the hating comments are coming from, then again i didn't smell the original so... you never know.
This is a very romantic and classy floral fragrance. The shift from the citrusy opening to the floral and woody accords is smooth and fascinating. It smells luxurious and expensive and would suit many occasions, from the most formal ones to the every day use.
Projection is good so you don't have to overspray. The lasting power is moderate, 6 hours on my skin.
Scent 8/10
Sillage 7.5/10
Staying power 7/10
Personal rating 7.5/10

For context, I have one of the very first 2012 formulation bottles (it's a batch code for the end of 2011, and it was bought as soon as it appeared in the shops after the removal of MDC), and honestly... I prefer the 2017 version. Rose is my thing so I expected to like this, but I also expected to find it lacking in comparison to the earlier formulations. What I didn't see coming was that I would fall head over heels for it, and use up my sample in three days! On me, it's a jammy/marmalade-y rose with sophisticated patchouli and a little bubbliness from the pink pepper. Great longevity, average sillage, both on par with 2012.
IMO, 2017 is much closer in spirit to MDC than the 2012 formulation ever got. And I fully expect this review to disappear into the ether with the weight of all the thumbs downs it will be getting! ;) But I hope it stays a little while at least, because all the negative reviews almost convinced me not to even bother sampling this. I'm very, very glad that I did.

a.elise91
I tried it today. It's like a more romantic version of the 2012 Miss Dior; it doesn't have the bite the 2012 one had. It's softer, and smoother. It's like a cool, smooth silk slip.
My partner and I both also appreciate how light it is, too.
I'm in love again ❤
perfumemad62
Miss Dior (2017) is very beautiful. Yes, it doesn’t have the same charm as Chérie but it is one of my current favourites. I prefer this one to the (2012) version as it was a bit harsh & heavy on the patchouli. This one is softer and blended perfectly. A sweet citrus rosy-floral scent with wood and pink pepper for added spice. Lasts about 10 hours on my skin. The accompanying body lotion is divine too.
It is an absolute scandal how many dislikes this version has. On a positive note; I was very entertained by the melodramatic & very biased reviews!
Give it a chance. Mark my words, this will probably be a ‘masterpiece’ in 10-15 years time;)

I have a friend who has been faithfully and solely wearing Miss Dior since 2012 and her whole house smells of it. Freaking beautiful to walk into.

cullen62001
Yes, it sucks when your favorite perfume is reformulated. However, if you’re going to do an honest review, you have to put everything else behind.
Therefore, on its own, this perfume can be very lovely. Is it the most original? No, but you can never really go wrong with a rose, patchouli and rosewood combination. That sort of combination is unbeatable. Then, with the underlying notes of citrusy oranges, it just comes perfectly together.
It’s definitely on the sweeter side and I can see the comparisons to Poison Girl, but if you prefer more of a rose scent Miss Dior is probably the way to go for you. I personally prefer Poison Girl EDT because I absolutely love the tonka, vanilla and orange combination and I find it to be a little more on the seductive side. Yet, I’m still debating about buying myself a bottle of Miss Dior because I really enjoy the rose in this one and finding a rose fragrance for me is really hard because I hate when the rose is too literal and you end up smelling like a garden.
So give it a try! Don’t be discouraged from all the dislikes because I truly believe it is because everyone is judging it in comparison to the 2012 version. They loved the old one so much that I don’t really think they’re giving this one a fair chance.

Overall, I much prefer Yves Rocher's Mon Evidence, which is a citrus, rose and patchouli scent that feels far cleaner, rosier, and elegant to my nose. The only drawback to the YR is that the patchouli goes a tad sour on my skin (as that note tends to, for me) but the scent's overall effect is lovely. It might have slightly worse sillage and longevity, as well, but the price is great so you can spray with abandon! ;)
As a side note, I don't get the similarity to Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming, at all. Weird.
EDIT: Wow, the one spray of Miss Dior on my wrist lasted just about an entire day on my skin. The sillage was just OK but I'm floored by the longevity.
EDIT 2: OK, so I redeemed points for this. LOL. Not many perfumes last all day on me, and sometimes it's nice to have something versatile and inoffensive that will last a good, long time.

I am wearing this today and a coworker keeps telling me how nice I smell and wrote down the name. Longevity and sillage are pretty decent. Six hours into my shift and I feel like it’s still going pretty strong and I only have to be standing next to someone for them to be able to smell my perfume.
I have several bottle of this 2017 version because I THOUGHT I was stocking up on the 2012 version. I just realized a few days ago that I have the wrong version. I bought my bottles October of last year and for some dumb reason didn’t think to check the batch codes. The tester on display was the 2012 version. So be careful! I went to Ulta the other day and they STILL had 2012 MD as the tester but 2017 bottles for sale. I’m extremely bummed with this change. Miss Dior 2017 is a whole new scent with no similarities to my beloved 2012 version.
I do really like this perfume. I won’t let my disappointment in the change cloud my judgment. With so many backup bottles I feel like i have no choice haha. I feel a lot of people are being unfair in their reviews of this perfume because they are angry with Dior’s reformulation. This perfume is totally new you can’t compare it to the old Miss Dior. I’ll update how this scent changes on my skin when weather cools. This perfume is something i think I would enjoy during fall and winter months.
Oh! BTW I personally don’t smell the comparison to MD Absolutely Blooming. That one is super sweet and this one is only a little sweet.

Edit: I happened to be in Ulta today where they have both the 2012 and 2017 testers out (which is ridiculous, but I digress). I sprayed the 2012 and agree it is super similar to Coco Mad. For those highly upset about the reformulation you should give CCM a try! Personally I already have CCM so I appreciate the 2017 version. I have worn the latter daily and even with the humidity in the south it still works. I can’t wait to get a bit heavy handed with it when the weather cools off!

Miss Dior Cherie EDP 2005
Miss Dior Cherie EDT 2010
Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet 2007
Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet 2014 (The current one)
Miss Dior EDP 2012
So it's unlikely that I'll be adding more to the pile unless I find a used one at a ridiculous price but MD EDP 2017 has ROSEWOOD in it and I LOOOOOOVE rosewood so I said okay, let me give it another chance. (First few times I bottle-sniffed at Sephora, I just got a fruity feeling and wasn't too happy about it... Really didn't notice rosewood.)
So yesterday at Sephora I sprayed a generous helping on my hand. My sister said it smelled nice, but in that tone like 'I would't wear it but it isn't hideous and I'm just telling you it smells nice so I don't offend you,' you know that tone I'm talking about.
Okay, so, rosewood. So many of my darlings have it:
Sensi
Dune
Tendre Poison
Hypno Poison
Ange ou Demon
Egoiste
If you don't know what it smells like, it smells just what it sounds like: wood with a rosy resinous sweetness.
But apparently that's all Brazilian Rosewood I listed above and this is Palisander Rosewood... I don't know, once I read the words 'rosewood' and went looking for it, my nose DID recognize something somewhat like rosewood, but it was just so fruity so I really can't tell you if this is psychology (like thinking a cloud looks like a mouse because your friend just suggested it) or if Palisander Rosewood just smells nothing like Brazilian Rosewood or if Miss Dior EDP 2017 just did a less than stellar job?
I guess one thing I can say is that to me, rosewood is definitely a winter note, and I tested this on a very hot day, so maybe I'll re-try in the winter and do another review if my opinion changes. (OMG if they don't discontinue this and pop out a new version by then! Don't laugh, they did it with the 2011 Miss Dior Cherie!)
So at this point, my description of MD EDP 2017 would be somewhere between MD EDT 2013 (current? Kon-nos91 you are scaring me!) and MD Absolutely Blooming. Just way too fruity to function with a hint of rosewood... maybe. (No offense to those of you who like it!)
I think if you don't already have any Miss Diors and also you don't have any fruitchoulis in your collection, this might actually be a good pick, (I'd say do consider it over Mon Paris, Poison Girl and the rest from that category, this is still superior!) But coming from the context of the resume I presented to you above, I feel like this has no place in my collection unless the fruit is way toned down and the rosewood is drier and more serious the next time I try it when the weather cools down. There is always more room for rosewood on my shelf, but MD EDP 2017, pull yourself together!
Also, the bottle is literally identical to 2012, it's so annoying, only way to tell the difference is to look at the batchcode on the back (anything that starts with a 7 or 8 is new, with the possibility of some 7's being old???) and then sniff. The fruitiness immediately gives 2017 away, impossible to confuse them!

Kon-nos91
The end of Miss Dior world, yeah, I know that my review won't be understood from everyone who isn't or even wasn't a Miss Dior fan and that it may be deleted after many dislikes but truth hurts, isn't it?
So? What happened with Miss Dior? Ok, reformulated for the 3rd time. Do I miss the older '2012' edition, yes! Can I live without it? Yes...It was a patchouli bomb but a true character, a perfume, a statement even during 00's that this vibe was lost. Francois Demachy is a master, I can't understand why he didn't pay enough attention when he calls it a perfume with love, for love...
They even changed my signature, Miss Dior EDT, I can't believe that the only way to find 'older' bottles is on duty free stores. It's the only edition that reminds a bit the masterpiece made during 2012. For God's sake. I will tell you what Francois did. He found the best selling Miss Dior that is Blooming Bouquet EDT so he made something that could be so addictive and nice as an EDP. I've got copliments wearing the newest edition but honestly guys, sometimes the fruityness of it reminds me a bit of Poison Girl EDT and although it has an amazing dry down that is a pure traditional candy we use to have in Greece for weddings, I feel like my skin sticks with something 'dirty'/floral/blah...
I can't believe I am doing a review expressing bad feelings or hate, take it as you wish but this is unacceptable for a house like Dior. Wake up. Why do you think they made roller pearl editions of 20 ml? Why do you think they made only for Absolutely Blooming, Blooming Bouquet for Miss Dior line and EDT plus Unexpected for Poison Girl? Because they don't have lasting power! And who wants to re-apply a perfume here and then just to enjoy an explossion of something nice that faints down to less than an hour? For sure not me. I am really sorry for writing that much, if I was crazy I should have copy-paste my comment to every 'new' or 'right now' edition of Miss Dior but ok. I am really glad I can finally waste a perfume without caring when I will end up by an empty bottle. So here's what's happening right now.
EDP 2017: Explained above. A floral blah opening with an addictive bergamot exactly like Blooming Bouquet, a touch of jasmine, a pinch of rosie woodness that gives a couture vibe, ending to a slightly vanillic/chocolat-ie gourmand mess that is nice.
EDT: What left to remind to a point of 80% the latest reformulation of EDP. So hard to be described but it used to be a blood orange with a caramelized patchouli and refreshed by turkish rose. A-ma-zing. It does or ir did remind Coco Mademoiselle EDP but in a more warm, less citrusy harsh way. Newest edition smells kind of synthetic, more floral less intense.
Blooming Bouquet: The absolute (EDT) edition we all love for a strange reason. Extremelly fresh, generic floral, but addictive to the moon and back although it's just bergamot, peonies and light rose in a base of white musk. It smells like romance, like an expensive body cream, like you just got of the best hair salon and after 30'...boom...say hello to a skin scent that no one will ever smell except from you. YES, a roller ball edition is needed but not sure it helps.
Absolutely Blooming: Wow, what a copy of Armani Si, less chypre or complex, more like a Victoria's Secret intense berry note with an amazing sillage for a few hours, feminine, too fruity but thank God enough woody and then...ok, buy a rollerball edition just to relive the first hour of it. I had high expectations as it's an EDP and it's characterized by a more romantic edition of Blooming Bouquet. Closer to what I really enjoy in gourmandise perfumes but not even close to how addictive Blooming Bouquet is.
Le parfum: Pure amber, refined patchouli and a bit of rose. Have you noticed that they almost remove it from the line silently? I can only find it in some stores or duty free! I won't analize the original EDT edition (longer bottle, yellow juice as this is a total another story)
EDP 2012: The star of my collection, to help you recognize it, the juice is orangie/champagne-like, the 'new' edition is kind of rosie. So easy to be confused even with Absolutely Blooming if light isn't good and bright enough. What can I say for this perfume? A dirty patchouli, a statement, you feel like you run in nature being carefree, I can smell freedom if that makes sense. The rose is golden, the patchouli is like green, I close my eyes and I see the thorns of roses, I can catch a touch of galbanum, jasmine absolute gives a spicyness, God...I can't describe more. The best chypre ever smelled in my life. And to end with, for all of you who never smelled it or you dare to compare it with the newest edition. Ok, you wouldn't like it at all but HOW CAN YOU COMPARE A PERFUME THAT IT IS MADE OF ABSOLUTES? Orange absolute-rose/jasmine absolute-patchouli absolute when the new one is a party of notes that give a generic result?
Enjoy!
Oh and P.S: I will never buy a Miss Dior bottle again, ever, I am not interested in 'body mists' sold as EDPs in such prices!!! I will store some bottles of 2012 for my own pleasure, try to find what left from my signature before they change it to look closer to the newest edition (go ahaid and compare EDT and now's EDP, if you find any similarities I'll go crazy) and that's it. In a few years another reformulation will come so I sit back and wait for it :)

Well there's a slight similarity in that I can detect rose and orangey citruses in both but I don't feel like they necessarily belong to the same family
Call me crazy but Miss Dior 2017 reminds me Poison Girl more than previous miss dior!
2012 version opens with sharp and sweet patchouli and some sweet orangey citruses, sweetness mellows down in a few minutes and then it dries down to a clean musky floral and a tamed patchouli.I can see why some people find it a bit similar to chanel mademoiselle
patchouli is so much lighter in this version that it's almost invisible.also there's no musk here,so rose and orange are more prominent in new miss dior and it's sweetness lasts all through it's life but still it's not too sweet for my taste.I can smell lots of vanilla in new version and I find it very strange that it's not listed among it's notes.this new version doesn't remind me Chanel Mademoiselle even a bit.as mentioned before it reminds me Poison Girl and Miss dior absolutely blooming.Poison Girl is more syrupy sweet, more gourmand thanks to it's almond and caramelized vanilla and it has stronger sillage, still it shares the same orange candy+modern rose+powdery vanilla with Miss Dior 2017.I adore poison girl so I definitely like this one too
All in all it's a beautiful scent.I like this pretty, softly powdered, sweet orangey rose covered by vanilla and subtle woods which stays with me for hours.
I like miss dior 2012 but I don't love it.I don't love this new version either but I like it more than previous one.I can see that my line for new version can grow to love.
I find it highly versatile, modern and classy at the same time,it's not original and groundbreaking but I can't deny how pleasant it is.I've just had a single spray on my hand,it lasted for +7 hours but sillage seemed to be soft to moderate, but it may improve after a full wear
I'm adding miss dior 2017 to my wishlist but I cab buy it only if it's highly discounted or if I find a half used tester bottle as it's unbelievably expensive here.it's even more expensive than Amouage perfumes and other niche ones
اگه کسی ورژن جدید میس دیور رو خریده و مقداری ازش رو استفاده کرده و نمیخوادش و قصد فروشش با تخفیف خوب رو داره،من خریدارم

rabemans
The candy rose would appeal to a younger playful crowd.

minnicikim
I don't think it's a romantic perfume, it's more like it tries to be a romantic girl in a very young age. Yeah, it is Miss Dior herself.
Now I have Miss Dior edp on me and I feel like I'm eating a tangerine lokhum and a rose lokhum between the biscuits at the same time :D

I really like this perfume but not my favourite of the Miss Dior range (Blooming Bouquet is my favourite). A lovely fresh floral scent with rose and patchouli notes dominating the scent on my skin and the citrus notes breaking though softly in the dry down. Longevity not that great with 5 hours max and sillage moderate but I must admit I don’t use this much but nevertheless a keeper.

Blossom Dreams
EDIT: Reading other reviews, there are a lot of annoyed customers at all the re-re-reformulations. I can sympathize. Some people like to have a signature scent they wear for years. It would be annoying not to be able to rely on that scent being available in the future. CD should listen to their customers.

The many versions of Miss Dior were all being stripped down with every release, making them simpler and simpler (still nice though, likeable but lacking depth with time) but this one does not even smell like Miss Dior, so much pepper it's dry and just plain upleasant. Uh.
Maybe on another day it will bloom but this was a scrubber for me.
I also do not understand how more pepper and less depth and more chem lab particles can be more youthful for some, but I'll wait and maybe one day I will find it less irritating.

I received a sample with something I bought last week, and at first spray, I was pleasantly surprised at the bite of peppery spiciness! Quickly, she turns quite woody, and settles into an ambery vanilla.
Sillage is moderate. Longevity on me is monstrous: when I first tested, I sprayed on my inner elbow in the evening, and I could still smell whiffs in the morning after I woke up.
I really like this. When I get to the end of my sample, if I still feel the same, I'm definitely getting a full bottle.
UPDATE: This Miss Dior sure has grown on me each time I wore it. I've wrested the last spritz out of the sample, so off I go to buy a full bottle.

The best way to avoid confusion is to double check the batch code before buying, and it does not matter either at Macy's or Sephora..., as the old bottles can still be displayed with the new ones on the shelf. You may test one version, but end up buying the other by mistake, due to bottles got mixed up. And many sale associates do not even know, if they are not trained or informed by the perfume rep specialist.
I did some experiment at home by layering the 2017 version with Prada La Femme EDP. The result was great. Check it out, in case you guys wanna "reminisce" or "recreate" the 2012 scent. Have fun :)

The scent is florally fresh, youthful and classy at the same time. I smelled soft rose, soft jasmine, fresh orange and minty patchouli with a gentle warm wood. Pink pepper was just right, balanced enough to give the composition a little "kick" or "lift".
I can also see some similarities between this one and Chanel CoCo Mad, from sniffing from the bottle sprayer only. But on my skin, Miss Dior performed differently in the dry down with more "warmth and softness" than CoCo Mad (somebody in here already pointed out). However, this fragrance DOES work very well with my chemistry.
I also tested the EDT and I liked it too. Of course, it did not last as long as the EDP, and they both smelled very differently, as if they were not related (just like many other different EDTs in general, this EDT version smelled fresh with the citrus/green notes). I have a strong feeling that Miss Dior EDT has close similarities to Miss Dior EDP 2012 version that many Miss Dior's fans have missed.
I have no idea what the version 2012 EDP actually smells like, nor should I care to find out, as it was already "gone", but more importantly, I LIKE what are in this newest version that I got introduced to NOW, as it worked out beautifully in my favor! Don't take me wrong, if I stumble upon the old version 2012, I would DEFINITELY try it :)

Blooming Bouquet flanker gets all possible accolades but Miss Dior original has more interesting composition.
After wearing it for one hour I caught hint of something familiar, I even thought of Angel. There's nice sexy patchouli note in the base. I think you would love this perfume if you like Valentino Donna or Mon Guerlain. There's same accord going through all these compositions.

On first spritz and for a good 15 seconds I get mostly freshly cut lime and lemon with a clear not of pink pepper tickling my nose. There is a humble soft underlying creamy sweetness too.
After about half an hour the pepper got a bit tamer and it starts shifting between soft rose and fresh oranges while that soft sweetness remains.
About three hours in i finally get some powdery wood notes and still quite some orange. The rose at this point just pops in front for me every now and then. It's so timid it's almost as if it's shyly lifting its hand once in a while asking 'May I say something too?'
So would I buy a full bottle of this perfume. Nope, sorry but nope. I am not saying it is bad. Not at all. But except for the first half hour the rest of the time all the interesting notes are so quiet and humble while the citrus notes are prancing around proudly saying 'Look at me, I made it into a Dior bottle'.
The thing is, you get very similar kind of scents time and again at medium price range perfumes of apparel brands (Lacoste, Benetton, you name it).
It's the kind of scent I'd wear on days where I want to smell fresh and nice but wouldn't want to 'waste' my 'good' perfumes.
I must say at this price point and all things considered it's so uninteresting to me I didn't even care to check out the longevity before applying something else over it.
So for me it's a pass.
HOWEVER it is indeed a very pleasant inoffensive young everyday fresh kind of scent. You could gift this to a 40 year old just as well as to a 15 year old. It would fit in office, as well as for strolling in a light summer dress around downtown or going for a date.
So if you're not really adventurous about perfumes with lots of 'character' and just want to smell feminine, fresh and romantic, and also enjoy having a nicely designed bottle of Dior on your vanity, this might be just the thing for you.
I don't feel you can go very wrong with this, but it's not the kind of scent you'll remember and identify anywhere even after decades.

G.I. JANE
GUYS, I have never gotten so many compliments in my life, and I mean, I am a fragrance connoisseur! This means that I wear different fragrances every single day. People smell me all the time, and yet, EVERYBODY likes THIS. I am speechless. Perhaps it's because it is a "typical" sweet floral. It's rosy, sweet, citrusy in the beginning (blood oranges stand out for me), and it has that sweet patchouli drydown that I love so much. She lasts FOREVER on your clothing. The sillage is better that way. I think that's why I get so many compliments. People can smell it on my clothes. Men will like it. Your friends that are girls will like it. It's definitely youthful. Ideal for 20s-30s. And that is a true testament to the tradition of Miss Dior. Natalie Portman in the advertising exudes this perfectly: youthful, modern, carefree.

everybody is wondering "Why is Dior still reformulating this perfume?" Its very easy friends: BECAUSE MISS DIOR ALWAYS HAS TO BE MODERN YOUNG WOMAN. that means that what was trendy in 1947 cant be trendy now. gosh! or do you think that young girls would like to smell like a church lady? (MD Cherie was trendy when sweet perfumes became as trendy in that time) now 2012 version of perfume is best choice for grown women but trust me little ladies dont like this smell that much. they would prefe Chloe to it. Fragrances goes with time so there are still new trends in fragrances. They dont make versions like "miss dior eau de bergamot" or "miss dior eau de rosy wood" (im kidding with names) because MISS has to be always nowdays Miss. And they still kept that oldest smell with galbanium in miss dior originale in memory of inspiring person sister of Christian Dior who survived concentration camp. please dont judge this perfume by other brand decisions like Chanel... if you are over 40 and you dont like this perfume please remind yourself that maybe you are not miss anymore....
but back to perfume. Its so strong rosey and pepperish scent so charming and warmth for every day wearing but perfectly in spring time. It remind me a easter a lot. Reborn of new life. Highly recommemd this perfume for ladies that feel overpowered and sophisticated this scent will give you more energy its not perfume for goodnight like black opium

I purchased a big bottle at the airport tax-free and it is very nice to wear to the office or a casual dinner. I am a fan mostly because of its authenticity, it is not quite like any other perfume I have smelled before and I think it will get soon pretty caracteristic. To me is a sweet/rose/citrusy/powdery perfume. If you enjoy LVEB intense, Mon Guerlain and Hypnotic poison you will like miss Dior 2017. Just give it ten minutes after you have sprayed it like I did it may change your mind... you tell me what you think.

my guess is they made it in 2016 and had it ready before they trotted it out for market. the notes match the 2017 version.
thanks!
Edit: I was reading the reviews from the 2012 version and some of them are matching my experience of the perfume, which may be transitional, which might be why I'm so confused right now

This started a journey that led me to mon guerlain, miss Dior absolutely blooming, and Chanel Eau premiere, my new favorites.
well anyway, I did a few blind buys early in this journey and this was a blind buy from Walgreens. I was disappointed when I opened the box to find that it was yet another fruitchouli, thr fourth one I now had, common, boring, I threw it in the back of the closet with disappointment. I forgot about it until now.
it's a under a year later, and I pulled it out and blew off the hurricane Harvey construction plaster dust off of it and gave it a try.
I'm in the bathtub with it now and I smell first peppercorn, second rose, 3rd bergamot and I hardly smell patchouli at all. Since I like soliflor Rose perfumes, I absolutely adore this and I'm sorry that I misjudged the perfume at first.
I use the word adore too much in these reviews, so I will change it to- I really like this perfume!
I'm curious now about the Miss Dior 2012 and I'm on eBay trying to find one
edit: i am sooo confused - why is my bottle dated 2016? 6P01 help? didn't come out until 2017?

Longevity 6+ hours on my skin.
Sillage is quite impressive.
My only regret is that I only purchased the 1 oz. bottle.
Edit 3/8/2018- This fragrance is office appropriate. Just the right amount of everything. Not too loud, but not bashful. I have gotten so many compliments on this fragrance. "Oooooo what is that?", "Sniff sniff sniff, you smell gooood", "Wow its soft, but I can smell it when you move around", " I like this one Mesha", "Mmm you have on the one that I like again". WINNER!

genny17
Anyhow, I love this perfume, it is bold and a compliment getter...it has a certain warmth and a slight sweet vibe, but nothing overdone here, the florals blend in nicely with a warmer base, it is so harmonious, feminine, and bewitching almost..whereas the previous version was heavy, this one isnt...I do find this version better than the previous ones, now only a matter of taste ..now Dior like many brands has decided to reformulated some of their fragrances, I see nothing wrong with that, they understand the market after all..there are only so many types of smells out there, how innovative should perfume brands be !? As long as they smell pretty, I don't care about innovation.

Helbo
I agree with iamoir's review that this isn't a floral chypre, but more a floral woodsy fragrance. I'd have been royally peed off if I'd bought it based on the fact it was a chypre.
So, not terrible, but disappointing. When is Dior going to become innovative again?

Invisible real flowers surrounded me for a moment in the city center.
After 2 hours almost all of the scent has faded, in my own nose, but the vestibule is scented in a feminine, nice way, still after several hours, because my coat touched the perfume.
Some of the 4 testings felt worse a bit, because of older sample & hotter time of the year.
Difference between the samples of the same perfume was sadly big.

what to say? At first I liked it, then I started to love it and now it's become my signature...unique to me and that's all that matters.
I know, I shouldn't get too attached to it, just in case...

Decided to delete my previous review after smelling this another time,
this smells delicate, sweet, young yet mature. I definitely don't believe this deserves such harsh reviews.
I love it.

Generally I don't like parfums with pronounced rose notes, but in this one blood, sweet and mandarine orange (which are my favourite citrus notes) bring the necessary sweetness to soften the sharpness of rose notes and it gives a gorgeous association.
In addition, it has a very good longevity, any disappointment in the scent even after many hours.

I've compared it to big shots like Amouage (Blossom Love), Armani Privé (Rose d'Arabie), and the ever so popular Delina by Parfums de Marly! Of course this isn't at their level, but there is something niche and addicting about this particular release and costs about 1/3! Put it on the skin (only one spray) and let it shine; give it a chance, as I've also compared this to MANY popular sweet feminine perfumes yet none has the same effect.

I am very disappointed, people who loved the 2012 version seem to dislike this one so I thought it would be different enough. I love rose scents and I was hoping that this would be a beautiful rose fragrance but it's mostly citrus and patchouli.
The only fragrances of the Miss Dior line that I like are Absolutely Blooming and Blooming Bouquet.

Scentstrumpet
My take: this is a beautiful modern citrus-floral-gourmand. I smell orange juice, rose, jasmine, almond, and vanilla. It smells like a modern bouquet, set next to a display of macarons and sweet oranges. The floral notes fade after 20 minutes, and I’m left with an almond-vanilla base that stays until it’s completely faded away six to eight hours later. Silage is average (4-6 feet), and lasting power is above average (6-8 hours). As far as the actual scent quality goes, this truly does smell high-end, no doubt about it. “Miss Dior” 2017 smells modern and extremely romantic. It does bring to mind a young Parisian girl. While it is not as unique or compelling as “Miss Dior Chérie” (now, THAT was a true masterpiece, totally rivaled the original “Coco Mademoiselle,” and a work of art in its own rights), “Miss Dior” 2017 is a pleasure to wear. However, it will never have the distinctive or recognizable qualities that many designer perfumes have. As for how the 2017 measures up to the 2012 version; I’d say the current version is more gourmand. Personally, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about “Miss Dior” 2017, and might purchase the largest bottle once my sample is empty. I don’t care how common it smells; it is gorgeous, very relevant, and very NOW.
My husband’s take: “Eh. Vanilla-rose-jasmine. It’s so done. The basic girl of perfumes.”

I definitely smell the bergamot right out of the gate.
Once it settles, the pink peppercorns really shine through and there's a hint of rose. I'm not really smelling the patchouli though. It's a rather pretty scent. It smells NOTHING like the 2012 reformulation, which smelled more like champagne. It's a bold move by Dior that has upset a lot of people. It's unfortunate, but this is the new Miss Dior and it's here to stay, folks.

But hey I bought this new edition of Miss Dior and it is just a whole new perfume, a lovely rose perfume, also "très très Dior" and in the whole of its execution fabulous. Never did I buy one of the popcorn, blooming bouquet, "Chérie"; and other lame flankers yet to this perfume I easily succumbed. yes I hate "La vie est belle" then must think at Christian Lacroix' "C'est la vie" such an original perfume also. the very rosy Miss Dior is sweet but not from saccharine Barbieing Victoria's Secret pear, mango, papaya or orange sucréed non perfumes. this is a wholly feminine perfume and I love it. and well they could overflankering as they do but those notorious oldies just keep rocking, no, punking hard.

How f***ing could they? Go ahead and create a FLANKER Dior and name it Miss Dior A la Vanille, no problems, why on effing earth do you need to discontinue and change formula? In a flanker-friendly era, every girl would be happy having her flanker of Miss Dior, and it would be definitely economically beneficial for the brand. Their actions don't make sense, it's insane
Why Miss Dior A La Vanille? Simply, I was browsing in Sephora for cosmetics and thought "hey, let's wear some juicy sweet rose, just to feel better a bit" and after the initial bergamot and brief rose appearance, HEAPS of vanilla started pouring into my nose, which is nothing from what I remember testing in the summer.
Please don't go with " but it behaves differently in winter and differently in summer" I call that BS.
We all know this stuff, the core of the perfume is immediately recognizable and urges the girly girls into buying it, which is fine, okay, BUT as a flanker of the already existing Miss Dior 2012, it would profit the brand and they would keep up with the trends.
Olympea is like it, Poison Girl is like it, Girl of Now is like it, Armani Code Cashmere is like it, the list goes on and on and on.
Dior has lost it. Pray for your Addicts, Hypnotic Poison and J'adore, although the latest J'adore flanker I smelled is really nice, good quality, they seem to cherish this line a lot, well obviously, J'adore is THE top seller.
Still though, pray and buy your backup bottles if there's any left... Sticking to Miss Dior Original and Miss Dior Le Parfum only! Perfection liquified.

By reading the reviews I thought I would like this or at least find this pleasant. And I do. I'm not someone who rates fragrances poorly because they aren't super unique or different (which seems to be a trend on this site sometimes). I enjoy light scents and I enjoy inoffensive scents as much as I enjoy super complex or incredibly unique ones and I find this light and pleasant. At first it smells like a very watered down version of Absolutely Blooming with a bearable version of La Vie Est Belle (which I actually don't particularly like since I dislike La Vie Est Belle). But then the patchouli note comes through and gives it a tiny bit more depth. It's a very light patchouli note, no where near it's previous version. As it settle it takes on that familiar base tone of Miss Dior/Miss Dior Cherie, that underlying warm rounded sweetness that you recognize if you're familiar with the line. But this is lighter, much lighter, than the other two. Ultimately, it's an airy, light warm sugary rosy floral with a hint of fruity sweetness and a touch of patch. It's definitely has more mass market appeal, which I personally don't think is a bad thing. But I agree with other opinions this should have been a flanker and not a reformulation.
On a side note, like the reviewer lilka down there I remember when the 2012 reformulation happened and everyone was saying how horrible the reformulation was and how they disliked it, so it is actually sort of funny to see how the majority of reviews are now praising the 2012 version and saying this new one is horrible.
Edited to add: For the first few wearings I could not smell any pink pepper note, but I accidentally "doused" my wrist when I was too overzealous about shaking my dabber bottle of this and that over application made me able to smell it, and it smells really good, give it a warm and spicy (not a spices deep spicy, a bright spicy, if spicy can be bright) . Adds another faucet of complexity and surprisingly, despite over-applying the scent did not get cloying or headache inducing. Considering a bottle of this now!

BelleofRivendell
Ps: If Dior reps are reading this, would you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back Miss Dior Cherie 2005 version with the strawberry/popcorn note? I promise to buy it in a heartbeat if you do. Thank you. :)

Edit: I've been wearing my sample of this perfume exclusively for the past several days, and I have to say, I cannot get enough. It is truly lovely, a perfect perfume. The initial blast is citrusy, yet spicy with the pink pepper note. The opening can be a little on the strong side, but the dry down is so, so beautiful. Very warm, sweet, and comforting. This is going on my Christmas list. LOVE.

helirium
The opening reminded me first Absolutely Blooming, so I thought, oh, so this a "beige" version of Absolutely Blooming. However, something about it drew me in.
I tried it again, and it suddenly took me back in childhood! My mother had a bottle of Yves Rocher's Venice, which I remember smelling as a first perfume ever in my life. By the time I was attracted by it as a curious little girl.
I checked the notes and surprisingly Miss Dior has almost every note Venice has except the base notes. Somehow, I smell amber/vanilla in the base of Miss Dior and therefor it completes my memory of Venice.
A sensual, warm floral that makes me think of velvet-- feels soft yet luxurious against the skin and has something old fashioned about it.
So I tried hard to not to love this because I was angry and sad what happened with other Miss Diors. But I'm afraid I can't fight against how much I like it.
And what would I do for love? Buy a bottle of this new Miss Dior, I guess. Maybe, Dior, maybe..

Pmy
Its a no buy for me.

Miss Dior is a perfume that has been reformulated many times. I can understand why they reformulated the 1947 version and make Miss Dior Chérie the new Miss Dior (which happened in 2012), because the 1947 version was indeed a little "too old" for modern times (but beautiful just the same). So, there came the new Miss Dior is 2012. But if you like the yellowish-ambar colored fragrance with a great patchouli and caramel popcorn dry-down, forget it, it has now been replaced by an insipid, boring, weak floral fragrance with no powerful base note to make it remarkable or lasting.
I don't know why Dior would replace the 2012 version, which is a BEAUTIFUL AND REMARKABLE perfume, with that crap that is now being sold. After all, Miss Dior is indeed a classic perfume, it has been reformulated one time already, WHY DO IT AGAIN? How are they supposed to have loyal customers if they are not loyal to their customers in return? If they wanted to release a new version of Miss Dior, why not release it with a new name, such as the "Blooming Bouquet" and "Absolutely Blooming" (which are beautiful versions btw), while keeping the original 2012 version in the market?
If you want to be viewed as a real luxury brand, you are telling the world that your products are the essence of elegance and timelessness, which means your perfumes, clothes, etc will never ever need to be changed because they'll always be trendy and desirable. If you keep changing your own products all the time (and Dior does that to their makeup line as well), you're sending the message that your products are constantly out of date and need to be updated all the time. Also, you're sending the message that you care about the MONEY of the customers, not their satisfaction. All brands want customers' money, but at least they hide their capitalist intentions by being loyal to their customers and not changing their classic perfumes.
Chanel, for example, has their 1986 reformulated Chanel No. 5 but if you want to buy the original one, you can still find it. Chanel also released Eau Première and L'Eau, which are other modern versions of the Chanel No. 5 but they never stopped selling the original, true Chanel No. 5 parfum. That's being loyal to your customers and to the legacy of the brand. Dior, on the other hand, throws away any perfume that "underperforms" according to their stupid criteria, even if it was a beautiful, amazing perfume like the 2012 Miss Dior or the wonderful Midnight Poison, which is an olfactive gem we will never see again.
I was lucky to buy a bottle of the 2012 version online, produced in 2016. So if you're looking for the 2012 version of it, look for it in small perfume shops and online from trusted sellers and maybe you'll find it. And always check at Checkfresh.com if the perfume was really manufactured before 2017. If it was manufactured in 2017 and the perfume is rose-tinted, it's the crappy new version, don't waste your time with it.
I also recommend buying an extra bottle of the "Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming" if you love this perfume like I do, because it seems that it's "underperforming" and they'll probably discontinue it as well. Will they discontinue or reformulate "J'Adore" one day as well? I don't know. I honestly don't trust Dior as a brand anymore. Too bad they're doing this to a beautiful brand, because Christian Dior was a genius who valued tradition, legacy and craftsmanship.
Dior, your new Miss Dior is definitely not what I would do for love.

Kon-nos91
First of all, special thanks to fragranticans: prettyswag, genny17, aliora and Vanian that texted me to let me know their opinion on the "new in square" Miss Dior EDP 2017. We could call it like this, right? I can assure you all that we're talking for a completely different perfume that doesn't remind 2012's masterpiece. It's difficult to say goodbye to it but we won't cry in the end. Their similarities are only in sillage.
While smelling the box of it, that has only as an extra a paper cover with the old Miss Dior Cherie EDP bottle design, just like Absolutely Blooming EDP has with a fuschia perimeter & bow, a nice rosie-jam note could be detected. I guess they passed the change almost silently if we forget the really nice ad with Natalie Portman and soon the box will be the exact same as Miss Dior EDP used to be. I am giving you all this details to help you and the 2012 edition lovers. From now on, you must check the number to be sure of what edition you buy.
On the skin it's a whole different story. My first impression was like: hmmm people are right, there's a similarity with Absolutely Blooming EDP edition although they don't share common notes. It's like a similar, less fruity, or intense sibling of it. After a few minutes you forget about this. I agree with those saying it's one of the sweetest Miss Dior, that something is missing while testing in on paper, but without being sugary or gourmandise. It's just a perfect rose and I am not a rose fan. About the characterization as generic. Well, it is a bit. It's something you have smelled before like an edition of La vie est belle or La nuit tresor EDP from Lancome, less sweet/synthetic/sirupy, but with Dior's signature. I can smell something special right in the heart of it that I like and I could describe it with the word fresh. This is the only new fact I can accept and really like.
So, I was waiting as long as possible before I open and test Miss Dior EDP 2017 because I am on a new beginning of my life at the moment. Promise I will use it till the last drop as I never did with any perfume from my collection. I totally forgot to mention that to me it doesn't smell anything close to Poison Girl and not at all a combination of EDT & Blooming Bouquet. A few hours passed, in my clothes it smells how I like, like a rosie delight but in my skin a faint vanilla left. Unfortunately, lasting power is moderate. What is this perfume about: Rose, rose and rose, but not a classic one. A modern and light rose with a touch of sweet orange and a supportive jasmine. I love jasmine but not straight so the amount of it it's at least perfect. I can finally smell this 'jasmine leaf' that I couldn't in 2012 spicy and musky edition. That's it. You didn't like the earthy patchouli, warm spicy feeling and golden rosie touch of 2012's edition? You like florals? You like honey-sweet fresh florals dressed in couture? Then try it!!! The 2017 Miss Dior is not mature or precious anymore, but completely liberate, strong and ready to be loved...

I sense rose, woody notes and spices. I don't think it has that typical Miss Dior scent to it. The 2012 version was more for my taste, but unfortunately I didn't buy it, just can't possibly buy them all.
A bit too sweet.

combination flankers of Miss Dior EDT, Blooming Bouquet, Absolutely Blooming and Miss Dior EDP 2012
by the way it still a nice scent but more tone down compare to Miss Dior 2012, I love Miss Dior EDP 2012 very much, rich, potent, really good sillage and longevity, while Miss Dior 2017 is more modern, youthful, easy going, simple and elegance, what i get the most are roses and jasmine, freshness is there and not too aggressive even they put so many citrusy note but it easy to fade, in dry down is very soft woody, overall i enjoy wearing this perfume

snoopyQ
Basically it is a cross between Absolutely Blooming and Poison Girl.
That type of smell is everywhere and I dare say it has become generic.
But of course not bad.
Not good either.

I think it's a good decision by Dior from a business point of view. Obviously they really believe in this fragrance DNA, and are making it clear that this is what the Dior woman smells like. Them marketing the same fragrance across two different demographics is a little disheartening for us perfume lovers, but if it helps more women find this beautiful juice I'm all for it.
R.I.P Miss Dior 2012.

IndigoEye
This is fruity and light, as inoffensive as shampoo and as uninteresting. Fine for a gift for anyone who likes to dress in pastel colours. You will smell good but unremarkable. But really, come on, Dior - step up to your name and heritage and be a pioneer not a copycat.

This version is soooo nice though.
It opens fresh and citrusy with a bit of peppery spice, warming up into a woody rose and some sort of hint of sweetness to keep it from smelling stale (maybe thats the patch?).
Its definitely a modern, young woody rose.
This wears pretty light and close to the skin for me. I truly enjoy this and Im hoping they keep this version around because when I run out of my cute 1oz bottle Im definitely going to buy a big one!

I'm very, very glad that I did.

They loved the old one so much that I don’t really think they’re giving this one a fair chance.

yzzilyzzid

This version manages to combine a classy and grown up vibe with a fun and flirty sweetness. The opening notes are citrusy with the added kick of the pink pepper and then it settles into a somewhat gourmand softness of rose and chocolate swirls, without ever getting heavy or overly sweet. I can smell some resemblance to Absolutely Blooming but it's quieter, classier (Absolutely Blooming is also one of my favourites).
The new Miss Dior is the old world meeting the new generation. It's for the classy woman who doesn't take herself too seriously. Love everything about it!!

Another reformulation....
Generally I don't get along with miss/mademoiselle perfumes, except Miss Dior 1947 and Miss Dior Le Parfum, which I did like but didn't have the time to wear; I was infatuated with other perfumes. I gave a good testing to Miss Dior 2012 and I can definitely tell that the new juice is different enough.
You guys! No need to worry anymore! Dior has reduced the amount of patchouli in Miss Dior 2017 and no rosewood can ever save it. It's not the same. Personally I liked the patchouli in Miss Dior 2012, what i didn't like was the gourmandish sweetness it had before finally settling on the skin. It has become a rather generic mass appealing perfume. If you happen to love any of the Cherie versions, you are kinda "doomed", because obviously they are not coming back any sooner....
But what worries me the most...is the Miss Dior Le Parfum, because this baby is loaded with amber and patchouli, with some animalic facets, of course not smelling contemporary- mass-appealing-sweet-something-for-pink-girls. Now that could be discontinued anytime.
Onto the new juice now. It is indeed a romantic, pink girly rose scent, very feminine and pretty and compliment getter. I was lucky to have some samples of the perfume and I believe I can fairly judge it. All the times that I've worn it in public I get random compliments:"oh it smells nice!", "what a nice perfume!", but these happened in between the first two hours of applying the scent, when the sillage is the strongest. It quickly settles close to the skin and -as the young girly generation wishes...-does not offend anyone... Anyhow, the perfume is targeted to them, the rest of us can use some Angel-which we will...-
Sweet perfumey opening, obviously because of good amount of citruses: lemon, mandarin orange, blood orange, orange and bergamot. Surprisingly i don't get any citric mish mash, it's all very well blended. The result is a sweet juicy scent on the skin, tolerable sweet, not gourmand yet. Nothing wrong detected.
Now, there is this twist of pink pepper in my opinion that gives an edge to this whole rose thing. Pinkpepper is heady spicy sweet generally and here it is an interesting addition, it works, for the better. The juice will settle with the appearance of rose. The custard rose, the edible one that was used in Poison Girl; that rose is here, the fruity vanillic. Something vaguely woodsy also. Overall, very balanced, very proportionate. At least Demachy did not release a tacky creation.
It is along the lines of Si Rose Signature Armani, Poison Girl and Absolutely Blooming, but it is sheerer than the rest, without this being negative, and even more luminous.
It strikes me though that it is classified as chypre floral. Ain't got no chypre here sorry... Does the classification derive from the structure? Typical "citruses-rose/jasmine-patchouli/woods"? Hell no, what about the final smell result? Miss Dior 2017 does not smell chypre at all to my nose, it is definitely a Floral Woodsy perfume.
Miss Dior 2017 is less dissapointing than Gabrielle Chanel, though Twilly Hermes and Gucci Bloom outbeat them both.
